I took the 4 hour fire safety course and it was super informative! I did it over Zoom and it went by fairly quickly.

At first, I was hesitant to join Prestige and was unsure of the program, but I felt comfort in knowing that I was being supported in my studies. My friend in the class unfortunately had a situation with another student regarding race. After informing Mr. C, swift disciplinary action was taken, which demonstrated my instructors' zero tolerance stance on discrimination. I want to personally thank Mr. C and Ms. Celia for standing up to unfair prejudice against minorities. I truly cannot say enough about Ms. Celia! As our clinical instructor, she got to know each and every one of us personally and had so many 1:1 teaching moments that I have never experienced before. She truly cared about course material, but most importantly, she cared about us personally, beyond our education. After graduation, I set my standards high and applied to one singular position, confident in my skills from her teachings. I was offered the role with no prior CNA work experience, and my peers and superiors were surprised with my base knowledge from day one. I now work at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, one of the top hospitals in the country, and I wouldn't have been able to do so without the instruction from Ms. Celia. Thank you so much for everything and I will forever be grateful! That being said, Prestige's administration could use some work......

He = white man with the overbite and air guitar, me = former ballroom pro. He knew that my big wish for our wedding was to be able to dance WELL. We went to Lo with some crazy ideas for our first dance since we wanted something that everyone would be totally blown away with. Lo absolutely delivered with her choreography. She was able to give us our show stopper dance and got lots of oooohs and ahhhhs. During the process she made the choreography to balance both of our dancing skills and highlight the things we did best. If you want blow your socks off choreography that all your friends will be posting on every social network - Lo is your go to instructor! Go. Must. DO!!

Ok, I was a little bit apprehensive about this whole dance number for a wedding entrance thing, but what the heck, I have no shame and like it was my choice anyways... I got to see Lo's handiwork at another friend's wedding a few years back, and if she can get those knuckleheads Jai Ho'ing all the way to the reception without making huge fools of themselves, she can get anybody to dance. I was in my friend's wedding party and it was decided that they wanted a grander entrance. No biggie except we're on the other side of the state, most of us have no rhythm and how the hell are we going to coordinate the lessons especially if we weren't ever going to meet in person??? Smooth Lady Lo was able to break down all the moves into easy to learn and digestible pieces through the magic of the internet and video sharing. Lots of practice, lots of encouragement and a few Skype sessions helped us pull the whole thing together. Heck, she made it so easy that I was able to learn the moves with my daughter strapped to me in a Baby Bjorn. No need to call CPS, no babies were harmed in the making of that number. The kid liked it. Really. Most of us still don't have any rhythm, but damn did we look good and the crowd ate it up. She'll make you faaaaaabulous daaaaaahlings. Just remember, you can count out loud if you have to!

Andrew Hall, the owner, and operator of The School of Light offered to teach me one-on-one during a weekend workshop to make sure I was fully prepared and confident for the advanced darkroom class. In a weekend, my world changed. I learned the art and mechanics of film photography, sharpened my perspectives for light and shadow, processed my own film, and developed my own prints. Nothing is quite as exciting as watching your photograph come to life, or as empowering as knowing you have full creative control in the darkroom. Low and behold, I was fully equipped for the advanced class - which was nothing short of magnificent. Andrew is incredibly friendly, passionate, patient, engaging, inspiring, a true artist with a wealth of expertise, and an exceptional instructor for your journey into the darkroom. I've since taken numerous classes at SoL and continue to expand my creativity into exotic and uncharted realms. The people who attend Andrew's workshops are just as friendly and likeminded as you. Everyone gets along and encourages each other; it's indeed a splendid place.

More than just a well-equipped darkroom, Andrew's photographic experience is an incredible resource for Los Angeles photographers. Not only that, almost everyone I've met at print nights is equally passionate and excited about the creative process and makes the whole experience outstanding.
