Griot and black rice (lunch special)
    Kay R.

This is our go-to spot for Haitian food. My favorite entree is the griot and black rice. The portions are large and filling. I've tried the desserts, and they are also really good! Customers can eat inside or order to go. The restaurant is clean and neat. We always order takeout, and most of the time, there is a wait, which is understandable as the food is made to order.

Decided to try this place on a whim after visiting a nearby park. The beef patty was wonderful - soft, flakey, and buttery. I'm taking a star off because I was told the price was cheaper if I paid cash which I didn't think twice about at the time but now seems strange. When I paid cash, they didn't have correct change. I'd get a patty or two from here but wouldn't trust a large order.

Wow i lived in Lawrenceville for two years and never saw this place before I only knew of the one off hurricane sholes but this is new to me i seen a friend post about it and I so happen to bf in the area and decided to give it a try and let's just say it was well worth it. Inside was small but interesting i love that they had a few ideal things for Haitian kitchen cuisine such as rice , beans, juice packets, soda , diri mushrooms , sports drinks etc . Very helpful if you wanted to grab a bite to eat and a few items such as listed before. So it's a bakery/restaurant which most Haitian restaurants are both . Anyways me and my boyfriend wanted Haitian food so i told him let's try it out since the other one takes so damn long but is 200% worth it the one off Hurricane sholes but let's not get off topic lol . . . This was worth the stop food was ready in a timely manner and ready to go a grabbed a few things photos will be posted below i say this place is a 7/10 over all good 6/10 Griot 5/10 and fried chicken 5//0 both the chicken an griot were a little too dry for our liking that's why i said a five the presentation is a 8/10 an the portions was decent you could eat the meal twice and be full for the day one reason why i love Haitian food and restaurants they are very heavy handed just how i like it lol this place a tad bit pricy as well so be payment ready Wheww.

Everything was flavorful and phenomenal. There was a long line but the wait was worth it in my opinion. Griot was perfect, but the black rice stole the show for me. Definitely returning.

Let me tell y'all something, this was my first time trying Haitian food and all I got to say is my back gone forever be big now! Lol Everything delicious!

    Griot and Haitian rice

First time eating at this establishment. I ordered the large griot (fried pork) plate. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. The dish costs about $24.50, I was a bit surprised by the prices. I ordered the beef Pattie as well and it costs about $1.95. The beef patties were delicious.

Ep. 80 of AntlantaEats *Long* Been hearing about this place for a while. @sightsandsizzles recently sent me her experience and I had to come! Back story: This Family Owned Business started in Sept 2010 (same location) only as a bakery. 3 doors down was a Haitian Restaurant. Well it closed but ppl were still coming into the plaza looking for Haitian food so the family decided incorporate their Menu to both Haitian & Bakery! I ordered myself the Goat, along came with Green Plantain, Veggies and The Black Rice!! OMG haven't had it since I lived in South FL. This is the most authentic Haitian Food I've had ! For you spicy lovers, they have what is called "Pikliz" which consists of Shredded cabbage. Mixed haberno and vingear! Perfect to mix with the meat/rice. It's hot hot They are Take Out only (as of June 2021) Bonus ++ I also recommend you ordering the Patties (Chicken, Beef) as well, Straight Forward Menu, Free parking. Add to your list ! The food is always on point. Nice customer service. There's always a little extra reminder of home from their variety of maker side foods.

We have gone through many vendors to have things done in the past and I must say by far this was one of the best experiences that we've had with working with a company for placing a order and having everything executed professionally perfect. Special thanks to Jeanine for being one of the sweetest, most professional and, caring owners that anyone can ever encounter. Thanks for making Zoë's Birthday Cake such a huge success! We will definitely be using you again! Very grateful, Sandra J for

I HAVE to tell you the story about our wedding cake! Tom and Jeannine with "It Takes the Cake…read moreLawrenceville" are SUCH dear people and I could not be HAPPIER that they made our cake!!! --------- 1: Jeannine and I corresponded through email and ironed out all the particulars of the flavors they offer. 2: Tom baked the samples and they tied them up in a ribbon, cupcakes with many different flavors for us to take home and try out. 3: They drove 3 hours to deliver it! I moved to NW GA from NE, and they didn't even hesitate to transport it all the way to where our wedding ceremony was. 4: We left a few flowers on the cake table in a jar and Jeannine decorated it BEAUTIFULLY. I absolutely ~adored~ how it turned out. They are artistic in more ways than one. 5: It was soooooo good. I can't even tell you how many times I have thought about it since. I need to place a continuous order for our birthdays and holidays etc. 6: And extra extra! They didn't depend on us snagging the top layer for the future, they brought us a COMPLETELY NEW tiny cake top, all wrapped up for our first anniversary- that is neatly tucked away in our freezer; we'll see how long it lasts though... Colton wants to save it, but I highly doubt it will still be there on May 3rd of next year, it sitting there calling my name and all... 7:Months later after the wedding - our guests and family are STILL talking about how "out of this world" our wedding cake was... is that even normal??? ---------- Can't recommend them enough! They are dear souls. Every conversation I've ever had with them - I have been lifted up and encouraged in the Lord. Love you guys so much! Senator & Mrs Hailey Ann Moore
