The menudo. Served with onions and basil. They brought cilantro when asked for and cilantro is on the table.

Went to La Choza on the recommendation of an acquaintance. My hubby ordered the Menudo, which seemed to be a customer's favorite. It looked like there was at least 1 bowl ordered at every table. I tasted it and found it lacked flavor and was a bit too watery for me. My hubby said it was ok. I ordered the cheese enchiladas which are served with rice and pureed beans. This plate was flavorful; however, it was all cotija cheese inside the enchilada and out. Cotija cheese does not melt...I was not expecting that kind of cheese inside my enchiladas. Then more cotija cheese on top...too much! The rice was delicious and so were the beans except for the fact that they were too watery (over pureed). They plate comes with 4 enchiladas which is very generous. They don't have fountain drinks, only bottled soda or aguas frescas, Jamaica and one other one. My hubby ordered the Jamaica and it was served in a very large mug which was nice because you really don't need a refill. BTW there are no refills. The service was very good. The server was nice and very attentive. Would I return? Probably not. The place is super small, so if you have a group over 4 there really isn't much space to accommodate you. We were 6, so they added a small table to a booth, which was ok but it felt crowded. (Shhhh , I like Ely's better).

La choza is the type of place you come to on the weekend for that menudo, birria or seafood to sweat out your hangover from the day before, that being said, the restaurant is a little small but the service is very quick and consistent. The girls there are always on top of the tables to make the flow easy, quick in, quick out. There's always a line at the door. The food is very delicious and authentic. I love the flavors here. My only complaint is the bimbos at the place. BBL DRizzy. I feel like I'm at ojos locos lol but if you're into that, eye candy is included.

Heard about La Choza from a friend, claims it's the best menudo in town. It is very small inside if you want to dine in. I waited for 20 minutes before being sat. I knew what I was there for so I ordered right away. The menudo was good but it was a bit greasy. The flavor was good but it did need some lime to cut a bit of the saltiness of the menudo. But with all the fixings it was good. I'd come back if around the area.

    Carne en su jugo.

La Choza never disappoints! We keep coming back because the food is truly authentic Mexican and always delicious. My favorite plate is the carne en su jugo full of flavor and cooked perfectly every time. The food is always hot and fast. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This review is for MENUDO only When Chicharrón recommended La Choza he said their menudo was great. I am from Mexico City where menudo is superb so it's really hard to find that level of menudo. Miguel Sanchez wanted to try it. They had a waitlist of 20 families but we got in quickly. Highlights : big portion, more meat than caldo good flavor good temperature you get to pick, white, red, with hominy, with pata (feet) very quick service is fantastic $42 for 2 menudos, 2 sodas, tip tortillas are not good, they lack flavor, they are thick and weird

Me encanta el menudo aquí , aves es está muy ocupado pero el servicio es genial ! Siempre tienen música tocando , tienen servicio para llevar también , y comida para nińos

    Tortillas

The food is not authentic and does not taste as good as people have been raving about. The person who took my order got it wrong and added maíz to my menudo which I did not appreciate. I've been hearing that this place is one of the best places to get menudo. I'm here to tell you it isn't. They add a seasoning which doesn't go in menudo and the tortillas have flour like for pancakes or crepes. Overall will never order menudo or tortillas from here again.

I was disappointed when I saw a roach as we eat our menudo. It grossed me out. I don't recommend eating here. I could only imagine the kitchen area. Definitely never coming back.

This is the kind of menudo that tastes like tradition, love, and authenticity all in one bowl. Perfect breakfast comfort meal, this menudo delivers every single time. Absolutely the best--highly recommended. The service is also excellent.

Came in on a Sunday morning.. you know why lol . It is a small place but they move quick to get you in. We waited for maybe 10 minutes and then got seated. Sat down and ordered the rojo menudo. I was tempted to try the white one but decided to play it safe this time around. It had a good amount of tripe and some sizable grains in it. It was served with fresh oregano, jalapeños , onions and tortillas on the side. You can also order bread if you prefer that over tortillas. Service was great as they checked on us periodically and made sure we didn't need anything else. Overall great menudo and great service.

I absolutely LOVED La Vecindad and highly recommend checking it out when you're in Las Vegas!…read more We did have to wait about 45 minutes to be seated, which wasn't the most enjoyable because it was so hot outside. We ended up waiting in our cars with the AC on. But I have to say--the wait was completely worth it! The moment you walk inside, the atmosphere is so much fun. The restaurant is busy and lively, with great music, colorful decorations, and so many details inspired by El Chavo del Ocho. I grew up watching the show, so being here brought back so many childhood memories. There are paintings and decorations from the show everywhere--even the bathroom is decorated! Our family was seated in the Escuelita room, and we had an absolute blast. The waiters and staff are even dressed as characters from the show, and they play music from El Chavo del Ocho. It really feels like you've stepped into La Vecindad! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the customer service was great. Our waiter was friendly, patient, helpful, and gave us some excellent food recommendations. And the FOOD! Everything we tried was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The café de olla was amazing--not overly sweet and just perfect. The molcajete was delicious and HUGE; it is definitely large enough for two people to share. We also tried the carnitas plate and carne asada plate, and I highly recommend both. The portions are very generous, so come hungry! I attached a few photos of the restaurant and our food because there is so much to see and enjoy here. Overall, we had such a great experience. Friendly and fun staff, delicious food, great music, large portions, and an amazing nostalgic atmosphere. If you grew up watching El Chavo del Ocho, you'll appreciate this place even more. Highly recommend La Vecindad! We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back!
