When I asked for the other booth, she got an annoyed look on her face but did not say anything, and she seated us there. We then waited, waited, and waited. Another couple, who arrived about 10 minutes after we did, was seated at the original table and were waited on about 5 minutes before the server finally came to us. He barely had the patience to take our order and was as dismissive of us as he could be without actually kicking us out. All this because I asked for a table that, unbeknownst to me, must have been in their no-man's-land.
