Yeah we tried this place out, based off reviews and looking for property in the area. Since we are from LA, we are bringing with us lots of family and will need lots of land and more. Food was very good. Service was great. We will be back again for sure. If we get land in the area of course this will be a staple each week. Prices in Idaho are so cheap! We love it. read more

I think this is absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in the (Spokane/Rathdrum) area! Charming, friendly, and fabulous. We were greeted and seated right away. Water and menus came with a nice basket of chips and a delicious salsa. We ordered the pork belly skewers for an appetizer and I finally understood why it's so popular. Beautifully caramelized pieces of pork belly alternating with cherry tomatoes, it was like a mini BBQ rib. I ordered the pork taquitos and a 1/2 chopped salad based on the size of taquitos you get in most Spokane Mexican restaurants. You know, they make two rolled taquitos, cut them in half and say there are four in an order. At Nadine's there *are* four real taquitos in an order. So good that I didn't touch the salad and brought it home. One of us ordered the pork belly tacos (yum) that were served with a yellow (saffron maybe) flavorful rice and beans. And, lastly, our friend ordered a chicken Chimichanga. It was huge and she loved it. The strawberry Margaritas were delicious and were made with a bit of puréed strawberries. Service was phenomenal. We waited 45 minutes to be seated although there were a couple of tables always opened, 15 minutes to get menus and have our order taken, and literally an hour to get served. That"s right, 2 hours and we finally got our food. The waitress blamed on the fact that we had ordered the enchiladas which she recommended. This little neighborhood restaurant is the definition of a mom-and-pop establishment. It is located directly in the middle of a neighborhood on the corner, depending on which way the directions take you it doesn't even look like a restaurant from the side. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the storefront before I left. ( My bad!) First things first, the dining room is not very big and parking is limited so get here early or there might be a wait. You won't go hungry while they are making your delicious food because each table gets complimentary chips and salsa! Our server was super sweet and made great recommendations as we looked over their BIG menu, thus the photos attached to this review. We started with the Pork belly skewers which were next-level delicious! I don't think I have ever had pork belly melt in my mouth like an M&M. The bed of slaw with the vinegar dressing was a perfect pairing. Shortly after our food arrived and it didn't disappoint! The ribeye was tender, exploding with flavor, and super juicy but not sloppy, the tortilla was homemade and held every bit of meat, and the chimichurri until it was able to be eaten. The refried beans were creamy, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. My date had the fish tacos which were also "Amazing!" ( her words) they came on a bed of mango coleslaw and a chipotle aioli that was not needed because the dish was perfect without it. All that to say, go and eat there! We were expecting Mexican food and it was South American food. They give you gigantic portions, but did not like the taste. Some people love Nadine's, but for us it wasn't that good. If you like South American cuisine then this is the place for you but if you're looking for true Mexican cuisine, this is not the place for you. read more

First, I want to say we love Nadine's. We wanted to get something we could share as neither of us were overly hungry. We landed on the nachos and added brisket. The brisket is AMAZING! The nachos, they're a little meh to be honest. Only the top layer of chips had toppings, most of the bottom chips were plain. If it wasn't for the brisket they would've been a huge disappointment. Based on all the amazing dishes they make, I'd expect a little more. My daughter got the kids taquitos, she loved them. Still would totally recommend Nadine's, maybe just know going into it that the nachos are pretty average. read more

What an amazing referral for whomever told us about Nadine's! Sorry that we can't remember. We just had some wonderful food. Smoked brisket chimichanga, smoked brisket burrito and the trio salsa. They were all delicious! We even asked for a spicier salsa and our server brought us a mango habanero salsa that was not hot but had such good flavor. Nadine's also has a full bar.... Very good fresh margarita and something called a jalapeño bourbon splash/smash that is fantastic. My family and I will certainly be coming back to this great little place. The chicken bowl was very good, it has a mild spice if you add the salsas to it. I recommend them if you are not sensitive to spice. The salad was also good but we recommend adding a protein to it. The bean and cheese dip was really good and is a must if you like beans and chips. The service was great our server was very helpful with food selection and was good at having refills ready when our glasses were empty. I came to Rathdrum hoping to find witches. Unfortunately, no one knew what the hell I was talking about and I didn't meet any. Fortunately, I did go to Nadine's per the suggestion of Sam at Lola's Wine Bar in CDA. What a gem. Damn are those pork belly pineapple skewers good! Worth a trip. I told my husband on our way back home through Rathdrum that I heated great things about Nadine's, so let's try it. We have no idea how the food was because we never got in. We were told 30 minute wait at 3:30pm. An hour later, we are still waiting and they took several groups in ahead of us with no explanation. After another 15 minutes, we left. They took our phone number to notify us, but that never happened either. I have heard wonderful things about their food.
