So many Italians having lunch, elderly and businessmen enjoying a small buffet with great service. It's small, but comfortable and the food was top notch. I ordered lasagna (I still do not know what was in it) and my husband ordered the fungi pasta. We also had an appetizer special with delicious meat, cheese and arugula. No more than 7-8 tables in the dining room. The menu was fish based that evening. We had an anti-pasta plate to start off. The shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. There was too much on the plate to describe, and my Italian isn't strong enough to understand what it was. Our main course was a carbonara noodle plate. It was, as my wife put it, what a chef would serve instead of tuna helper. :) It was amazing. The wine selection was superb as well. We were recommended a nice white that complimented every dish. We finished our dinner with a cannoli. It was incredible. The shell was crisp, the filling was sweet, and the whole dish nicely complemented the meal. We were given a nice Sicilian "digestive aid" of orange liqueur shots to close the meal. What a hidden gem in Rome!…read more Went here about a year ago and still think about this meal to this day. My party stayed here a long time, and the restaurant eventually filled up (we got there early for dinner). The break down of what my party ordered: Pane (bread) x2 - €2 - didn't really order this, it was just brought out at the start of the meal. Sauté Di Cozze (mussels sauté) - €10 - not a huge mussels fan, but I ate a couple. Looked really good, so I'm sure if you like mussels you would enjoy this dish. Risotto alla crema di scampi (risotto with scampi cream) - €12 - the scampi cream really stood out in this dish. I'm a big fan of risotto so this dish was still pretty good, but I personally don't care for scampi cream. Spaghetti alle carbonara (pasta with beaten eggs, bacon, pecorino cheese) - €10 - I've had carbonara before this (and have even made it myself at home), but I've never had carbonara as good as this. Usually I get sick of cream sauces on pasta pretty quickly, but I could eat their carbonara all day everyday. Definitely my favorite dish of the evening. - the pasta was the most al dente pasta I've had in my whole time in Italy. Spigola alla vernaccia (sea bass, olives, vernaccia wine, cherry tomato) - €15 - solid dish, didn't stand out. Panna cotta della casa (homemade panna cotta) - €5 - classic panna cotta, nothing special but still a great way to finish off the meal. To drink: 1/2 liter of wine - €7 - delicious for a wine and light, got me tipsy 1 liter of water - €2.50 Limoncello on the house! - the staff was very generous with their limoncello. It made the experience at this restaurant even better than it already was! Although there were a lot of dishes that weren't to my liking, it was more because I'm not a fan of the raw ingredient rather than the restaurant preparing them poorly. Since the carbonara really changed my life, the alcohol was generous, and the staff was amazing, I still give this restaurant five stars. We had an awesome celebratory family friendly meal here. We started with the langoustine tartar with foie gras, which was a delicious mix of flavors. The oysters looked appealing, but were a bit pricey so we passed on those. We also got the sea scallops with pork cheek, which were both delightful and fresh, followed by a tomato-ey pasta dish, which I can't for the line of me remember now, except that it was absolutely delightful. We ordered a sea bass fillet for the main course, which was delicious, although a very small portion, but it was still enjoyed greatly. Food was good, but overpriced; service was poor and the music was loud. We felt we got ripped off at the end. They chased us down to correct what we paid. I was 100% confident that we gave them correct payment as we counted it several times before giving to the waiter. I just gave the 5 euro they said we were short, as we were annoyed with the experience and just wanted to forget it.

I had the ravioli seafoods with artichoke and others had seafood with spaghetti and mushrooms. It was very fresh and tasty. I did not taste any artichoke in the ravioli but it was good. The ambiance is nice. We sat outside under a tent. The service was excellent. No English but luckily our tour guide help navigate our individual selections and bill. ...speaking Italian is helpful especially if you are a large party and splitting the check. We picked up dessert from inside. The tiramisu was delicious . The sorbet was also really good. We shared dessert and each tasted. Excellent service and i recommend if you visit Rome.
