The place stays clean and they accept all major credit cards or cash. Some come in hungry and leave happy ! Menudo Sunday's! This place has became my grandmothers go to spot for menudo on Sunday's. At first, I was confused being that my grandmother has been going to el merendero for her menudo Sunday's for years! (15+ years) Confused but accepting of my grandmothers wishes, me fui directo a La Cachanilla. And Oh my! I'm not one for Menudo, but the preparation to go was terrific. They give you tortillas, cilantro, onion and limones. All bagged and ready for to take without having to bring your own olla. I arrived to the smell of freshly baked bolillos being pulled out of the oven. You best believe I bought some bolillos to go (It's a sin not buy fresh bolillo). You can't have menudo without bolillo, anyway. The menudo juice was seasoned perfectly and paired well with the bolillo. I recommend this place for everyone to come for the menudo, as well as the Birria. I haven't had a chance to try it but if my grandma is recommending then you know it's good birria. read more

Great small market. The market has a little of everything. Great produce. Fresh and very tasting meat. They also have a small restaurant. They have a couple of tables to eat inside. The food is very delicious -- my go-to place for excellent quality meat. I also love there ready-made Cactus salad in the refrigerator. They have there own parking lot. Not many spaces. Another positive experience today during my quick run to the market. I noticed that they have the cute little shopping carts. Perfect for me since I walked in carrying my baby! Picked up some meat, eggs, honey, and a bite to eat from their food stand in the back. I stopped and chatted with the owner's son and got to know how the store is run as far as products and availability. I really want to try their Barbacoa next. I liked their assorted variety of spices on the wall. Will stock up next time I swing by. Girl at the counter was friendly. She gave me a free sour cream for my purchase. Meat is good. Produce is ok. I received a counterfeit twenty dollar bill in with the 2 other twenty dollar notes. I didn't feel a need to check them when I got my change back. I only knew when I tried using at the grocery store in the digital dollar tender and it kept refusing it. I called la cachanilla and she told me to come in. I showed up. She told me that they couldn't prove they gave it to me and I was out of luck. So I drove down there at their request for something they could have told me over the phone. They refused to make the situation right. I come here when I can to get my meats mainly. But this fake 20 dollar bill just cost them a whole lot of revenue for the future. Twenty wasn't going to break them or me. But I think on principle they should have made it right. Thanks for the years of service. This place is a small place between a gas station and a dance club. Limited parking in the front. Lots of parking in the back. You will always find this place busy. This place is well know for their meat and produce. Its great for that purpose ONLY. Thats the only reason I can't give them zero stars. However their menudo SUCKS. My photos will speak volumes. It leaves a huge aftertaste that sticks with you. They fill it to the brim with the meats but hardly no hominy. It didn't taste clean. Clean menudo doesn't leave aftertaste this bad. The chili they give you in the mini containers looks old and like crap as seen in the photos. There was only one place for this menudo.... The grave as seen in my photo. Im quite embarrassed to say this was made by Mexicans. If you have someone that has never tried menudo, don't give them this menudo. I'm sorry to say, the can menudo is 100 times better than this garbage. This is however your go-to place for BBQing beef, steaks and fresh Mexican produce. read more

The food here was unbelievably good. It sufficed my infinite taco craving immediately. The asada had an amazing flavor - grilled and still moist. I'm a weird sucker for bean and cheese burritos. I confirm, this place has good ones. They use a good amount of cheese and came with some tasty salsa. The tacos are slightly larger then regular street tacos. My friend ordered a torta. I don't even like tortas but his was absolutely delicious and perfect. They use thinner bread then most people use, which I like a lot because it's easier to eat and the bread doesn't shade out all the other flavors. I don't speak Spanish but the employees were still very nice. As a store it's minimal. But the hot food is perfect. Highly recommend. read more

I didn't eat at the location, but instead got some meat from the carneceria. The pastor de pollo was good, but the carne asada left something to be desired. It tasted like there was a red wine marinade, which is great, but not what I'm looking for in carne asada meant for tacos. Overall the vibe is really authentic. I had her order me a carnitas torta as she told me they make most of their meats totally fresh on the weekends so I went for it. Did not disappoint!!! Very moist! The torta was with homemade bread and had all of the fixings on it( tomato, jalapeno, cheese, lettuce etc) She really liked her tamales. I tasted a chicken one and was pretty impressed. I checked out this place due to good ratings on Yelp. I ordered a dozen of tamales, half chicken and half pork for $15.99, also a combo including carnitas, rice, bean, and a few tortillas for $7.99. The pork carnitas was really good, it's juicy, and tender. The tortillas were soft, thick, and freshly made. Their tamales were just an ok since I have tried others that tasted better. They have specials going on daily for the hot foods. Their kitchen where they serve meals is at the back of the market. The place is small, but there are many different marinated types of meats. Service is very quick and people are nice though some employees cannot speak English well. I would probably come back to check out their produce, and marinated meat. read more

This place is great with the exception of one particular person who works there.. there is a older lady with reddish full hair in the back that works with the hot food.. she's never friendly and seems like she's always rushing you to make an order.. when I order a burrito a specific way she always gets it wrong and puts stuff in it that I didn't want. Their meat is good their customer service is great I been coming here for years but I think I'm going to find another convenient market bc lately this place is full of flies. I ignored and continue to come and I see a fly in the fridge were the cheese is store (I told the guy like three times and didn't understand me). If u see behind the meat department there's flies as well. Yesterday I went and the men behind the meat department who has a hearing problem a bigger older gentlemen has facial hair and chest hair coming out his shirt and to top it off no hair net or hat. Well, let's get started here, the outside is a bright color, the inside is very clean, and nice. We came on a saturday around 5pm.We were a party of 10, they sat us right away.. Asked us what we wanted to drink, we ordered our drinks and our food..after soup came, the food came right after, my husband asked for another tea, and some water, he can't eat unless he has his drink, 15 minutes pass,and still no tea or water, we flagged down waitress and asked again, and a few more drinks, finally 10 min later, she brings 3 glasses of water, his tea, and 2 sodas, she forgot a Dr pepper one of our party ordered, another waiter passed, by and we asked, for a pitcher of water and some glasses, so we wouldn't have to wait so long, he proceeded to the table next to us, grabbed their pitcher of water and gave it to us, we sat there,like omg what did he just do...
