We ordered the charcuterie plate with has a minimum order for 3 people and they will have a hawk eye on your table to make sure that no one who ordered touched anything on the platter as they would have to charge another $20 for someone to touch something that they didn't pay for. The dishes were OK nothing extraordinary and nothing with lots of flavor. I don't think I'll eat here anytime soon.

Wir waren am Abend nach der Eröfnung dort und haben zwei verschieden 3-Gänge Menüs gegessen. Somit können wir zumindest über 6 verschiedene Speisen berichten. Die Speisekarte ist auf eine grosse Tafel an der Wand geschrieben. Alles auf Französisch. Da die Besitzer deutsch und französisch sind gibt es aber keinerlei Erklärungsnöte. Das Ambiente finde ich sehr nett. Lange Bar, ca. 15 Tische und eine Mischung zwischen Altbau-Chic und Bistro mit Potential zum "IN-Restaurant". Das Essen war absolut Spitze. Zur Vorspeise hatten wir irgendwas mit warmen Zwiebeln, weiss nicht mehr so genau war aber sehr gut. Hauptspeise hatten wir Lamm und Steak. Das war das wohl beste Lamm (Schulter) welches ich je gegessen habe. Auch das Entrecote (mit Blauschimmelkäse-Sosse) war erstklassig!! Hatte Medium-Rare bestellt und kam auch genau so. Dazu gabs selbst gemachte Pommes (mit Schale dran) auch sehr lecker. Der Nachtisch (Variation aus 5) war der Hammer. Das Fondant wie aus dem Lehrbuch. Alles in allem: lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen - grosse Weinauswahl und erstklassiger Service. read more

Im not usually one to write a review on a gastronomic experience, thats saying something as my partner and myself think of ourselves as real 'foodies' and eat in restaurants all over Europe regularly. This restaurant offered one the best overall dining experiences ever. The service is perhaps the best I have ever experienced, carried out in a very relaxed & friendly (but not over-friendly) manner. The food was spot on. I had frogs legs to start and irish sirloin steak and home made frites for mains. If your a lover of chips / fries / frites, you really have to taste them! The 2 glasses of Pinot-Noir was good, especially for the price - EUR7.50. We are having our baby at a nearby hospital in August, something tells me I maybe nipping out to try their lunch menu as well. Regardless of how 'value for money' this restaurant seems, it doesn't mean your going to get a 'value' experience - Far from it. Nice work guys! James, Mitte. read more

Super Lecker! Bei unserem ersten Besuch hatte ich das Entrecote Frites mit handgeschnitzen Pommes und hervorragender Sauce Béarnaise. Das war schon mal das ziemlich leckerste Steak der Stadt, genau so "medium rare" wie ich es bestellt hatte. Die Begleitung freute sich über Salat mit Ziegenkäse-Croutons. Beim nächsten Besuch gab es das Steak Tartar - also so zubereitet hab ich das auch noch nicht gegessen. Immer mit einem kleinen Salat. Den Schokokuchen mit flüssiger Schokoladenfüllung (Moelleux au chocolat) darf man nicht auslassen. Wahnsinn. Die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend (sagten meine Begleiter) wobei ich das Pilsner Urquell vom Fass einfach bevorzugen musste. Zum Mittagstisch gibt es immer ein Tagesmenü, inklusive einem Getränk. Super Menge für den Preis. Eine tolle Brasserie ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack mit einer wunderschönen Bar und sehr sehr freundlichem, aufmerksamem und schnellen Service. Bei "La Bonne Franquette" gibt es französiche Küche, zubereitet von einem "echten" französichen Koch, wie ich auf Nachfrage erfahren habe. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett und helfen bei der Auswahl Speisen - erklären auf Nachfrage gerne, was man nicht versteht. Ich war schon zweimal zum Mittagessen dort - ein wirklich leckeres Menü mit Vorspeise- oder Nachtisch und Hauptspeise und Getränk gibt es für 10EUR. Das Mittagsmenü gibt es, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere zwischen 11:00 und 15:00 Uhr. Habe sowohl die Vorspeisenvariante - Lauchcremesuppe - als auch die Nachspeisenvariante - Schokoladenküchlein (sehr, sehr lecker!) ausprobiert und kann beides empfehlen! read more

Delicious and uncomplicated French Restaurant in Mitte. I have been there twice in the evening and had great time and great food. You can choose among a few starters, main dishes and deserts (5-6 of each, the menu is written on a chalkboard). I recommend the Entrecôte (seems to be always available), served with amazing french fries. I also had a very good Magret de Canard with Gratin Dauphinois. Main courses are between 10 and 20EUR. There is a good selection of wines in a wide price range. We actually had excellent wine for around 20EUR. The service is casual and very friendly. Beware: closed on Sundays ! read more

Das Essen bekommt auch keinen Stern. Die Muscheln waren kalt. Der Salat mit Ziegenkäse war einfacher Durchschnitt und dafür überteuert. Die Bezahlung am Ende war ein Drama.
