This is a great place for people that want to spend money and eat good meat in Mexico City. The service is amazing. Five star service. The presentation of the food is also very good. It is a awesome visual and a gustatory experience. Or vegetarians like me, Whole Foods plant-based people, the vegetables could have been a good option. They looked very greasy when my family ordered them so I didn't try them as I cannot eat things but our family were happy. The ambience is very loud. the music crowd talking Was a bit too much. I had to step out for a little bit to destress from the noise.

I came here for my birthday while visiting Mexico City for the first time. One word: Exquisite! We made reservations for 9 and were seated promptly with a beautiful view of the city. The inside was dim yet lively. The service was impeccable. The waitstaff were on point! The food...oh my! The Ribeye on a salt block was honestly the best steak I've ever had! The longer it sat on the block, the better! The Cedar plank salmon was also stellar! We added a side mashed potatoes and shelled corn which were great accompaniments to the entrees. When back in Mexico City this place will be my go to!

One of my favorite places. Everything was excellent. The food was AMAZING. The absolute best guayaba cheesecake I've ever had. The ambiance lifts the mood of the place. We were hyped and happy to be here. Even tho it was a full house we still felt like we were hitting elbows with the table next to us. We were not rushed and the service is top notched. This will be a definite go to from now on.

I thoroughly enjoyed coming here! The service was wonderful, and the food that much better! Of the items we had, I don't think there was anything we disliked. The queso fundido was delicious! The mini rib eye tacos were a hit, particularly with the salsas they bring to the table. For the star of the night, the rib eye on the Himalayan salt with mezcal! Wow. It was beautifully cooked, and it was definitely a nice little show to watch. I can still taste the butter they put on top...so so good! The dessert was really good too. They bring the churro wheel to the table with sugar you can put them in and accompanied with chocolate and caramel. I personally preferred the guayaba cheesecake. The guayaba taste was there, and so so good.

Nice atmosphere, good food, good service. Restaurant is on the higher end but the food tasted good and the portions were big.

Awesome and upscale restaurant up on the rooftop in Polanco, Mexico City! Ambiance/Service: The place is super hopping, good music, great vibe, and the decor is on point. The service staff is absolutely on it and by the time you need something, they are there and helping you! Food/Drinks: We went with some local friends and they recommended we do the bottle service. They were absolutely right. Bottle service in Mexico is not like the states and is much cheaper as they do not gouge you with crazy bottle prices. And you can get a ton of different mixes to accompany your liquor and the staff were there filling our glasses anytime we ran out. We ended up ordering appetizers to share rather than going with large entrees. The steak/guacomole was out of this world good! We also had the crab tacos which were definitely a different experience and extremely good! We also did the octopus which was extremely delicious. We had the grilled artichoke which is the only one we wouldn't order again. Would definitely come back and absolutely get the steak/guacomole, crab tacos, and octopus, no question! Note: You do want to make reservations to this place, especially if you have a lot of people as this place does get very busy.

One of my favorite go-to restaurants in CDMX. The service is one of the best I've experienced. The attention, the atmosphere, the food is outstanding. Getting here is somewhat of a challenge, but it Mexico City, parking is never easy here. But make reservations, hopefully you'll get a great spot. Get the Irish Coffee, it is an experience, WOW! Thank you, Issac!))) The food here is fantastic, desserts are great, the service...I am without words! You guys get 6 stars!)))

Great seafood restaurant in the high-end district of Mexico City. The restaurant is known for their seafood and what we ordered lived up to its name. We came on the Saturday night and the many dinner reservations and people waiting in line reflected the popularity of the place. As a party of two we didn't have to wait too long for our table even though we came earlier than our reservation time. At the beginning of the meal they have a complementary salsa set with five kinds of salsa for for you to try. be careful, A couple of them are very spicy! We had the grilled vegetables platter and the grilled salmon for two. The grilled vegetables platter came out on the sizzling hot plate piled high with artichokes, zucchini, carrots, beets, tomato and cauliflower. The vegetables were thrilled to perfection and as a set on the hot stone the sides continued to caramelize making every bite delicious and sweet. The grilled salmon was basted in a sweet honey like sauce and grilled to perfection, tender and rich. A very lovely experience, Great for coming on a date night or with family!

I wanted to make it a point to seek out some authentic oaxacan mole, so I chose this spot that was recommended by eater.com and the Michelin guide. Had the black mole with duck breast, which was served with rice and a plantain. It was so good as the flavors were so complex and they paired really well with the perfectly cooked duck, the rice, and my fruity cocktail. On that note, I ordered one of their speciality cocktails with passionfruit and it was so good. I actually enjoyed my cocktail, made with fresh fruit, here more than the world renowned bar down the street. Also got salsa made tableside and an appetizer of pork taquitos (which, in this context, were tiny tacos). Both were flavor bombs. Overall, we are glad that we stopped by to get a sampling of very flavorful food from this restaurant and I'd definitely come back!

The space itself is lovely -- a well-designed hall with elegantly set tables, fresh flowers, and a charming courtyard with greenery that adds to the atmosphere. It feels upscale and calm, and when we visited, it was not crowded, which made it even more peaceful. However, the service and food did not quite match the setting. The staff were not particularly welcoming, and communication was a bit challenging as most did not speak much English. While manageable, it did affect the overall experience. They began with a bread basket (bread and croissants), which unfortunately did not feel fresh or warm -- something you would expect at a place with this level of presentation. We ordered a couple of dishes along with a fruit bowl: * The fruit lacked the freshness and ripeness you typically find in Mexico, even at casual local spots. * The main dishes were average in flavor -- nothing stood out, and they felt somewhat generic rather than reflective of local cuisine.

The interior is pretty plain, with some Oaxacan art on the walls, apparently available for purchase. We were served tortilla chips with samples of 3 moles (Negro, Coloradito and I think the 3rd was Mancha Manteles) and 2 salsas. As my wife and I primarily went to Barro Negro to sample moles, it was great that we could taste them before committing to a full entree. They were all very good and very different. If you think all moles are 'a Mexican chocolate sauce,' then you'll be surprised at the different varieties. The salsas were all very good and on the spicy side. For entree, I ordered the Mole Coloradito and my wife got the Mole Negro. Both were served with a chicken leg/thigh quarter covered in a very generous pool of mole, along with a small amount of rice and beans. For me, it was the right amount of mole (a lot!) and rice and beans (a small portion of each). The Coloradito is a sweeter mole, very smooth and rich. It was excellent. The Negro is smoky, almost burnt tasting. I happened to know that the cooking process includes burning chile seeds and adding them to the mixture. To me, it was kind of ashy and not to my taste. My wife said that she really liked it and the flavor mellows as you eat more. At any rate, if you're familiar with Mole Poblano, which is also very dark, the Oaxacan black mole is a totally different dish. As it was late, we chose not to get any dessert. The service was attentive and quick, not surprising given that the restaurant we empty. We enjoyed our food very much and highly recommend Barro Negro for sampling Oaxacan moles.
