I am writing this to bring attention to a serious scam that occurred inside your Walmart 24h store…read morein Cancun. During my visit, a man named Mike, wearing a Walmart name tag, approached us inside the store and offered what he claimed was an official Walmart promotion: * 6 round-trip ferry tickets to Isla Mujeres * A full-day golf cart rental * Lunch on the island * Hotel pickup All for USD $120, with a $30 deposit. He repeatedly assured us that he worked for Walmart, not any resort, and that it was NOT a timeshare sales pitch. However, later that night he messaged us saying the pickup would be changed to 8:00 AM so he could take us to another resort for breakfast -- something we never agreed to. When we insisted on sticking to the original 9:30 AM plan, he showed up the next morning and again pressured us to go to the resort to attend a 1.5-hour presentation, which was obviously a timeshare scheme. When we refused, he told us the trip was canceled and that our $30 deposit was being kept by his "boss." He then claimed we would have to return to Walmart to get it back. Before we could even discuss it further, he jumped onto a bus and disappeared. This was misrepresentation, dishonesty, and a clear scam -- all happening inside Walmart premises, by someone wearing a Walmart name badge. I am requesting: 1. Walmart Cancun to investigate how scammers are operating inside your store while appearing to be legitimate staff. 2. The resort involved to take responsibility for using deceptive tactics to lure tourists into timeshare presentations. 3. A refund of the $30 deposit that was taken under false pretenses. 4. Measures to ensure this does not happen to other visitors. Tourists should feel safe inside a well-known retailer like Walmart -- not targeted by scammers pretending to be staff. The mall was air conditioned, clean, 80's modern, and safe with mostly middle range shops. The Food court was easy to find. There were a couple sit down restaurants. We went to the sushi restaurant but the hostess said there was a long wait. We settled on Pizza Hut for my youngest which had a surprisingly long wait. The rest of us ate Chinese "Cajun" food which is similar to what's offered in all US malls. Everyone was fed for about $35. The food was a little greasy but filling. I had to use my Spanish to order everything. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable.

It had clothes, food, shoes, towels, alcohol, literally EVERYTHING. Like a big ole even cheaper Walmart lol. It can be very packed in the mall and a lot of people just walk right into you. I thought that was weird but hey what can ya do? I'm definitely looking forward to going back and exploring the mall even more.

Super creepy experience here on a busy Saturday afternoon. This was the busiest I have ever seen…read morethe Super Selecto. Lines extended down the aisles. I got my items and used self check out, which took under 5 minutes. An attentive employee was there assisting people. I had Ubered to the Selecto and asked the driver to wait, saying I would pay him directly for the return to my hotel. It's the first time I had done this. I usually walk down to the Starbucks and grab an Uber from there. Thank God I didn't. When I reached the ground level exit a man had followed me! I stepped outside the entrance and he was shouting questions at me in English, asking where my husband was and where was I from, and didn't I want to talk to him!!! I looked for my Uber driver as the man was advancing on me. My driver saw what was happening and pulled up to me quickly, nearly running the man over. He literally saved me from a BAD situation. Where was the Super Selecto security??? I am in Cancun once a month. This is the first time I have felt unsafe.

The Boutique Palacio was the only one insert into and what a great concept. It has lots of different boutique stores in smaller sections. Lots of options. This is an outdoor mall with both dining and shopping available. I really enjoyed the lush plants throughout to really tie in the location. As I didn't purchase anything, can't speak tot he value. not a lot to do outside of the resorts or beaches on your own besides a walk to the shopping…read morearea...luxury avenue is located near the middle of the hotel zone while a larger outdoor shopping mall is located higher up at la isla cancun...la isla cancun is better with a diverse variety of luxury and standard retailers, but luxury avenue was closer to our resort and it is an indoor mall with a/c...the entire upstairs is under construction/closed, so only the bathroom was accessible...the main core boutiques are still present, but majority of the retailers to the back left and right wings are closed and vacant on a 2/2026 visit...browsed what was open...mainly focused on jewelry, watches and bags...ultrajewels has a small selection of everything ranging from jewelry to luxury watches...sampling of watches from iwc and grand seiko to omega and rolex...not a lot of the specific popular models of interest...had a few jlc master control models the staff was eager to sell and offering substantial discounts on...tempted, but moved on to the rolex...had a nice green op 41, but not willing to sell to a new client...browsed to pass time and moved on to hermes...similar in shopping experience...sampling of a few bags and a lot of accessories...while all the accessories were for sale, the bags were not...evelyne for sale, but lindy was not for new clients...already familiar with the process, but doesn't hurt to ask...not a lot on display, so was mostly just asking out of curiosity...the mall is mostly dead, but a/c is cold...not a whole lot of inventory in the stores open, but might get lucky and find something and get approval to purchase...

We were blown away by 1) the AC and lovely smells of perfume 2) the lux brands such Hermes, Rolex, YSL, BVLGARI and more. 3) all the beautiful displays of art. This shopping mall seems to have had better days. There's a bit of an occupancy problem. It's quiet. However, it feels safe. I saw security wandering around, and there aren't any locals hassling the tourists for change. In the near future, the causeway across the lagoon is going to be completed, and the causeway is going to drop off vehicles right in front of this shopping center. It'll be the first thing you see when you drive to Cancun. The future is bright for this shopping mall. The place has a bunch of different vendors and retailers here. You can get out of the sun, enjoy a cup of coffee, dinner at a fancy-ish restaurant (Ruth Chris!) I don't know where you can park, but this mall is easily accessible from the bus.

They told me they'd hold it. I come back and was sold the wrong fragrance than the one I picked out. I come all the way back to the store to let them know they sold me the wrong bottle exchange it for the correct smell, turns out they never had the fragrance to begin with. Overall an utter waste of my time and money. Will take weeks to months for my refund and manager did nothing for my inconvenience. Overall extremely dissatisfied with this store. Will not be shopping with LV again.
