In the grand tradition of our trips, my husband immediately lost his sunglasses, this time to the ocean.
We took the city bus to the nearest mall to our resort, unknowingly Fashion Harbour. The portion that is considered Fashion Harbour is filled with high-end luxe brands, all cool to see in person, but not exactly in our budget.
The entire mall is open-air and we made our way through the part of the mall that consisted of normal shops, restaurants, etc. There is a nice canal that snakes through the mall, a good backdrop for pictures.
An aquarium is also located here! If you go into the aquarium's gift shop, you can see a few dolphins in a habitat. My husband found a cheap pair of shades and we wandered out to the pier.
Aside from the different excursions offered at the pier (not too many, thank goodness), the best things we noticed were IGUANAS! If reptiles aren't your thing, you may not care. We found them and the crocodile signs more interesting than the shopping itself. read more
