A street behind Santa Maria Novella, tucked away from the chaos, is this humble little Sandwich shop, ready to go toe to toe with the Goliaths of this city.
The fresh bread was much softer than All'Antico Vinaio, and the ingredients as high quality as anywhere else. The energy was one of a local shop that neighbors enjoy, as opposed to the conveyor belt chaos you feel when visiting the famous house names. The shopkeeper was notably nice and welcoming. He took the time to present the most popular options, as well as his personal favourite, The Bolognese, which I went with.
