These special gems throughout the art districts are one not to be missed. And these store is no exception. A stroll along the blvd and this place caught our eyes. First thing I notice were all the amazing vintage fur coats and jackets hanging along the wall. And by that, there were so many to choose from. The collection was quite impressive. Of course you have all the fun vintage shirts and jeans. Rows and rows of the as well as loads of cowboy's boots. It seems like vintage and cowboys seem to be going hand in hand at all these vintage shops here. There's loads of fun accessories with trucker hats of all kind. Then there's the fun belt buckle, so many good ones. The rows of clothing is overwhelming to a point where you literally want everything you see. There's also a really large selection of sunglasses. Really big thrift shop with a lot of options. Prices are up and down. Some are reasonable and some, well, there's no way I'm gonna pay, so you just have to decide what is worth what to you. The young guy that was working there was super sweet, really helpful, and we were digging the music he was playing. I really like coming here for vintage/second hand clothing items. The owner is always really sweet and nice to us. The selection is above average in my opinion, and I think the prices are reasonable. I had came in with a group of friends and the woman employee was eyeing us the entire time to the point where she was literally standing and staring directly at us as we were looking through the clothes. There are a lot of clothing in this store so I thought that I surely could come out of this store with something. I went with my family, and the experience was scary. There's a woman employee that was constantly eyeing us. When my family separated into our own ways to look around the store, she never failed to find every single one of us so she could keep her eyes on all of us. Impressive, but really weird. I didn't want to jump and say that she's watching us closely because we're Asian, but she would eye other customers in the store too, just not as hard as she would eye us. She would look at what we would touch and immediately fix it after. She made a comment on how my college aged family member would not fit a certain dress and how it would fit her elementary school aged sister better. Thanks, but if your opinion is not asked for, keep it to yourself. The price is typical for a vintage clothing store, but nothing is worth getting stared at like you're doing something wrong. If you're on a budget and into "vintage" and possible unique pieces then you may have found your spot. Well, you have to be willing to get down and dirty and dig deep for a good find. Maximum price per item is $10 and as low as $5 a piece. There are definitely pieces that may be in perfect condition and for sure some that are ripped or stained. Love coming here for the pile sale! it's a fun experience to literally look through a pile of clothes they have in the back. In the pile there's a mix of clothes from t shirts, flannels, jeans, and coats. There's something here for everyone. Besides the pile sale they do have an extensive and very well organized store. Reading these one star reviews is so silly to me. First of all the paranoia some of the people have on here is laughable. Who cares if someone at a shop is making sure you're not stealing? Just don't steal.. I know wild idea. I found the help so lovely the woman working offered me a dressing room, when I declined she held my stuff at the front for me so I could continue to shop with my hands free. It wasn't an abnormal experience for a retail shop. I don't particularly like to chat and shop but I felt very comfortable asking her opinion on a dress that to be honest looked terrible on me I was just sucked in by the novelty print, she was kind but honest and offered to look up a tailor near me to have it altered. Above and beyond for a vintage shop, affordable prices, kind and friendly service, and a lovely collection of men's and women's clothing. What's not to love? read more

There are so many stores on Retro Row. You should probably skip this one. I ended up getting an item but I was followed around the store by two employees. The lady with the black hair and a younger employee. I also heard the lady with the black hair say to the other employee (younger girl) ,"you're going to have to take over and make sure people don't steal" like whaaatt??? I got a shirt because I liked it, but I will NEVER go back to this establishment. I see that this lady has been following customers for years. It's overpriced here too. Impeccable variety of vintage wear. This store is one of a kind and currently ranks as my favorite thrift store in California. The prices can be on the higher end but not extreme (you are paying for the quality). They have such unique pieces of clothing/hats/sunglasses and a HUGE variety. They also have this $15 GIANT and I meant GIANT pile of clothes you can look through on Saturdays and Sundays. The store clerk at the front went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for, I don't think I've ever felt so tended to at a clothing store. The black haired lady with the pretty bangs was checking my friend out, and stopped completely to follow me outside to see if I stole something. Another shorter employee asked us if we stole some gloves that were in plain view of her sitting spot in the pile area. Amazing selection of boots and coats. Dee was very helpful in sharing the details of vintage items. I felt the items were a pretty good deal compared to what's being sold online. Although I did feel a tinge hovered over a couple times, I was spending quite a bit of time in the store trying on boots and getting Dee's opinion. She was even still accommodating my small dog and bag in the store for this whole time. I could see how some shoppers' experience of her public complaining about thieving customers and employees would be disheartening and deterrent to business, I wasn't sure how to respond after a while of her telling me about this. But she did explain to me that she's the only one working in there sometimes and finds it difficult to keep up. I am a young white female so I cannot speak to the profiling but I regret to hear that and am taking it into consideration. But I think this woman is just passionate about the organization of the store and could use some better help. I will likely be back. read more

The young gentleman in charge of the pile was a wholesome soul. The lady at the register was kind of a wench. Okay leaving a review because this is the second very uncomfortable experience I've had here. There's way too much product here and it's vastly overpriced. I stop in every once in a while just to check and see if there's anything worthwhile. The smell today was overwhelming. Like a wet basement. There is a gigantic pile of clothes outside behind the store you can see through an open door. Probably the reason for the mildew smell. Anyway I tried on a pair of jeans and they didn't fit and I was over the smell so I left and went into a shop a few stores down. Then I heard "you didn't like the jeans?" and as I turned around the owner had followed me down the street to another store. It was very uncomfortable. Weird behavior. Fun vintage store in the retro row part of 4th. Obvi the prices are a tad high but that's on par with anything vintage or other vintage stores. Bring ur coinT purses. Definitely worth the splurge if you are looking for one a kind or rare finds. The store is filled to the brim with items. Can't really help on the selection of sizes, I myself am a rather larger person and still enjoy browsing to see if anything might fit me. The pile sale is where it's at, don't be be afraid to just dive right in. The prices are on the wall. I visited this place last weekend on Saturday 10/29 hoping to find some costume pieces for a student film that I'm working on. I went with 4 other friends, getting their opinions on the pieces I was considering. The young people at the counter were super nice and helpful, but an older, black-haired woman was extremely nosey and pushy the entire time. At first I thought she was just checking in to be helpful, but as she kept staring and following us around the store, at one point even directly blocking the exit, I realized she was surveilling us for absolutely no reason. I left without purchasing the MANY pieces I was planning on buying because this lady made me feel so uncomfortable. Even as I was leaving and said to her "Have a nice day" she didn't even make eye contact with me, and instead eyed my hands, clearly to make sure I wasn't stealing anything. Extremely rude and poor mannered. It's a cute store with some nice pieces, but whoever that lady was needs to put herself in check. read more

I went shopping here yesterday with my wife and daughter. I have been in here before by myself. The owner (dark hair and bangs) was nice to me when I was by myself. Coming with my daughter and watching how this owner treated her staff, and then hearing about my daughter's experiences there, it seems to be that this woman is on a mission to harass and break down young women. I was shocked by how this woman talked to her employee. And she clearly intentionally tried to shame this employee in front of us. After we left, my daughter told me that this woman has a bad reputation and has followed her around the store, critical of the choices my daughter was making. The other bad reviews here don't surprise me at all. She is clearly an abusive narcissist. I'm not giving this woman any more of my money. And I want to say, if you work here, I encourage you to get out. People like her are the kind of people who will try to break you down until you are a shell of a person.
