They were very fresh and tender but the broth was minimally seasoned, which was a slight disappointment. I was so looking forward to dipping my bread in it. Oh well, at least the mussels were delicious and the seafood risotto was fantastic. A very nice spot for an early dinner.

What a beautiful spot! After looking for whales at the local observation center we stopped off…read morehere before taking the ferry back. The space was beautifully decorated with house plants and art on the walls of local plants and sea creatures. There was even a mini shop of teas and herbals at the entrance. The menu highlighted seafood and local farm to table options. We chose two appetizers including the fois gras with berry sauce and a charcuterie and cheese platter. It was all visually beautiful AND tasty! My husband tried the homemade seabuckthorn lemonade drink which reminded us of a combination of pineapple and orange juice. Our entree was the mussels with onions and wine sauce with fries on the side. Delicious! The waitstaff were so friendly even though the restaurant got very busy while we were there. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We continued to be tantalized by the pouding chomeur with blueberries. The desserts were on display in a dessert cabinet near us. They warmed up the pouding (which is a traditional Québécois dessert) and served it with a drizzle of cream sauce (containing Irish creme ?) . It was a wonderful ending to the meal.

We were looking for a good restaurant that wasn't too far from Autoroute 20, and this was the best…read morewe could find. Definitely seems like this place morphs into different personalities, based on the time of day. Pretty cool. It was a Friday night with a big storm blowing through, so it was pretty quiet. There was a "girls' menu" and a "boys' menu," which was pretty interesting approach to organizing the offering. I shared the calamari appetizer. The portion was a little small to share, but the calamari was fresh, had a nice crust, and good flavoring. Next time, I won't be sharing. For my main dish, I had the fish & chips. The crust seem to have some coarse cornmeal in it, based on the texture. The flavor was good, and I didn't have to worry about soggy fish. It was a nice balance between the fish, fries and arugula salad.

We have to somehow get permission to order take out? While others already ordered take out before me. Kind of a mystery for me. The restaurant looks good and with a good look for the Saint Lawrence river and the ferry dock. If you choose to eat outside, it will be a pleasure to eat at the picnic tables. The food that I ordered was the Lobster roll. It was not using the roll bun, but more like a wrap. The combination of the ingredients and the freshness was well balanced. We were very impressed by the lobster roll, and gladded that it was not using the traditional roll bun. It was not too salty nor soggy for the roll. However, the fries were horrible, soggy fries and the packeted ketchup turned watery as well. Nor the less, the lobster roll is good, especially for the location.

First of all, I came here with my grand kiddies after visiting the tinkity town after our quail watching tour. I'll be honest, there weren't that many other restaurants with menus that were really fancy or had more than like 4 choices. We decided on this because it was a large menu and looked nice. (It's not nice). The patio was nice enough looking into the town and out to the water... we came for dinner, decided to get only appetizers because the place looked like crap but we couldn't leave and then finally settled on dinner after we couldn't find much else with our panic searches. Menus were only in French, which is a serious problem if you don't speak French or have wifi to translate (and let's be clear, every single other restaurant we've been to in French Canada has given us an English menu.) The calamari was actually pretty good but very basic and other appetizers were mediocre at best. Food was all bar food and has some weird stuff (like no beef nachos, no regular burgers etc). We all got fish in chips, not horrible. The poutine was alright. Shrimp roll was gross. Our waitress even seemed to acknowledging that the food wasn't that great. Bar food at best, reheated Cisco at worst. And actually I've had better bar food. Don't come here, rough it out somewhere else or cook at home. Update: everyone's stomach was upset after we came here.
