    She-crab bisque
    Donald B.

While shopping in the area we thought we'd try a local Italian restaurant that we had heard good things about. Upon arriving, we were asked if we wanted a high-top table but since those aren't my favorites, I asked for a normal table. I think that got us off on the wrong foot with the hostess. We ordered some drinks and they were brought promptly and were excellent. I saw She-crab bisque on the specials menu and started my order with that. Then I ordered the Eggplant Rollatini with angel hair pasta and my wife got the Penne Siciliana. The bisque was one of the best I've ever had. Very well seasoned with chunks of crab. Then the salads came and they were large and very fresh. Then we waited for our entrees. After sitting for about a half hour while our waitress took care of people at the bar, I asked the hostess about our food since the table next to us was already on their third course. The hostess argued with me that their food came out so fast because they were only having apps! They had soup, then a pizza, then their entrees. Nice try! Our entrees finally arrived and I think they were under a heat lamp so long the pasta was dried out and the sauce nearly gone. My Eggplant was tasty but also had sat too long. After two bites of my angel hair pasta, I had enough. Terrible. My wife's dish was also dried out and she finished about half. I'd come back for the bisque but only as take-out. This place is probably much better but unfortunately it just wasn't our night.

Hoping place with quick Italian dishes and drinks. Service was on point and the place has a warm family vibe.

Great Cheesesteak! I was at Invertase Brewing across the street and they brought it right over to me. Great service and great food!

So yum! Live just across the river and haven't been here in years... popped by for lunch - antipasto was so good! Chicken wings + chicken parm sandwich also yum... looks like they have excellent wood-burning pizza and a 1/2-price wine bottle on weds. Cozy spot for delish Italian

The food is very tasty. The employees are very pleasant. The owner is a hard worker there and chats with his customers.

The ambience was nice, clean and a good date night restaurant. They had roses available for sale for valentine's day. The food looked and smelled amazing. I had an asperol spritzer, bisteka and tiramisu. My boyfriend had the Bud bolognese. He said it was pretty good but it was heavy with onions. My plate had a NY strip steak cooked perfectly med rare , broccoli rabe and fingerling potatoes. The steak had great flavor as for the sides they were ok. They didnt have as much flavor as I had expected. The tiramisu was rich and creamy and the brandy kept me warm on my walk back to the car. I have to say one of the best tiramisu I've ever had. The asperol spritz; this was my first time having one ever, so I have nothing to compare, it was ok. It is supposed to be citrus, rhubarb and prosecco, I expected it to have a sweetness but it had an overpowering bitterness kinda like eating orange rind. Id definitely go back for the tiramisu and a few other things I'd like to try on the menu.

This Resteraunt is in a historic building and you can feel the history as you come in. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. Apart from our waitress who was very nice and cordial the rest of the staff had an arrogance about them and the bartender must not receive a lot of tips as she's cold and unresponsive. The food was mediocre at best the fig pizza was good, the baked artichoke smothered in breadcrumbs and over done. The pasta it self was good but the sauce lackluster and tasteless. The chicken melonazze was dry and rubbery. The chairs at the table were a mish mosh of wood and metal and the Caine chairs were ripping guess that's the colonial vibe.

There are a few folding chairs and a small table set up outside as a make-shift outdoor eating area. The inside is slightly more spacious than it appears. The counter had a great selection of specialty slices and the staff was friendly. I decided to go with a plain slice and a penne vodka slice. Both slices had a good, fluffy crust with a thin, crispy base. The plain was a bit greasy, but a good, reliable slice. The pasta slice was filling with a great vodka sauce and a good ratio of cheese to sauce. This spot is a good go-to in my opinion.

Their delivery driver who drives the Red Honda passed me at 50+ mph on Dumont road, not to mention with double yellow line. He then proceeds to cut the corners like he's driving a race car at dangerous speeds in close proximity to a residential neighborhood, Greenwich Chase. I observed him turning into the plaza by Home Depot still driving erratically, and blows through the stop sign by the Home Depot, all of this while not using a blinker, going at least 30+ mph at this point through the parking lot. I followed the car as, I was right behind it, and lo and behold....he delivers for Bella. I went into the restaurant to make a comment about how he drove. As I was leaving, after telling the workers what I just encountered, he rolled his window down and was screaming profanity and insults at me from across the parking lot as he's driving away. The words I will not specifically mention here. Just a hint....Words that started with F's and B's. Not to mention there was a child in my vehicle, who unfortunately had hear his profane language and was visibly shaken from what had just happened. I grew up right down the road from this place on 519, and my family has been in the area for generations. Our family has been patrons for over 15 years. I have never in my life been so appalled by someone's behavior. I am extremely dissatisfied with how this employee carried himself. I have had family members that have worked there in the past few years, and it was not like this. It is a shame this is who bella has working for them. I will most definitely be taking my business elsewhere after this experience, and I'll be sure to tell my friends and family the same. I am sorry to have to leave this review, but I couldn't fathom the acts of the delivery driver. Especially knowing the reputation they have had in the Stewartsville area for a long time as a good local business.
