A small takeout-only Haitian bakery with a walk-thru line. Service is swift and polite. I picked up a selection of patties which are made with a delicious flaky pasty dough. One of each: spinach, herring, cod, chicken, beef. They also make a guava one. They have several other bakery items including coco bread. It was a bit chilly out this morning... so the hot chocolate (nicely spiced) was a real treat also. They also have jars of Haitian spicy peanut butter and 100% chocolate pouch's available for sale.. picked up some of each. Their home-made lime drink is unbelievably sweet, and delicious. Love, love, love this place! I have been here about three times already and each time the service or the patties have never wavered. The patties are also hot and fresh and the lady or ladies that are up front are always so welcoming to me. I have not tried many places for patties but of the places that I have tried La Bakerie is hands down the best. I love that their patties are nice and flaky and don't resemble empanadas like other places that I have been to. Will definitely be back. read more

They have the best Haitian patties in all of South Florida hands down. Patties are usually high in fat and carbs but they definitely tone it down with the fat content compared to other Haitian patties that I have purchased at other bakeries. They also sell other Haitian pastries including bread and crackers. I also tried their cake once and I think it was very decent. On weekends, they offer Haitian butternut squash soup and sometimes, they sell bouillon which is the healthiest option from a bakery . The reason of my 4 stars is because I stopped going 4 to 6 months before the pandemic hit after they hired this girl as their cashier who is very rude and needs to treat customers better so they can keep coming. I have been going there for the past 7 years but I stopped going after my encounter with the aforementioned cashier. Without stellar customer service, a business can't survive too long. The owners are very nice and courteous though and I will go only if they are at the front. Being a naive Miamian and traditional island girl, I am very particular about food quality and service. With that said, I hope that every interaction with a restaurant is a pleasant one. La Bakery comes to me as a recommendation from my sister who purchases from them frequently. We've used them for funerals, birthdays, first communions, and other events. I wasn't too thrilled with their Haitian patties then, but decided I would give them just one more fair try. I called a few days ahead to place a fairly decent sized order. The older lady that answered the call was very short in her answers and wanted me to call back the next day to make the order. I know she had a long line waiting on her but I was willing to wait or have someone call me back. This lady was rude. After some going back and forth, she took my order and my credit card to fully prepay my order. Now fast forward to Saturday morning... Yes my pick-up time is 11am and yes I was there 15 minutes early. The same lady who took my order was there being rude AGAIN. I wanted to get a few extra things and thought it'd be a good idea to get there early, grab a few more deserts, and perhaps my order doesn't have to sit too long getting cold. La Bakerie in Pembroke Pines is the wrong place to go. Don't go there, worst customer service ever. Please read my experience /feedback. I went to buy a dozen Haitian patties this morning. There was one young girl serving a customer with a big order. I was the next person in line, I had been waiting for quite some time, and I was running late to go to work. I see one of the employees/owner ( a young man with dreadlock) standing behind the counter not doing anything. I asked him " Brother, I am going to work, I am running late, can you take my order, please? The dude was mad at me, and he had the nerve to tell me: " You have to wait, if you cannot wait the door is wide open, and you can leave". I said: "What's wrong with you, you work here, you are not doing anything and I ask for help and you are yelling at me? That is the reason why, most Haitian businesses won't go anywhere, because of poor customer service." The dreadlock was frustrated, and he had the nerve to come to my face and try to fight me. I told him to touch me first, and he would get what he deserved. Luckily for him, he did not attack me. And the dreadlock told the young lady, "not to serve me. " To me, that was total disrespect as a customer, as a loyal customer. So, I left the place. I know the bakery belongs to his family, I was trying to tell him to move the line and save us some time. But he has the power to decide. The dreadlock dude is nothing but an arrogant child running his parents' business. This man was unprofessional and ignorant. He had no sense of how to run a business and no customer service skills. Had he touched me, I would have been sorry forever, he was one step away from putting himself in big trouble. Its a cute bakery that sales sweet Haitian baked goods. This is the spot I come to for my Haitian patties and when I wanna a quick bite when I'm out errands and I'm hungry. I love the cod fish patties! I've tried the chicken but I the cod fish is what I always get. Its season well and it has a nice kick to it. One thing the patty has a very flaky crust.I try to eat the patty in the bag it comes but some how I still manage to get flakes from the crust all over me lol. I tried the limeade and let me tell you it's sooo good. I let my sister try it and now shes hooked. Love! Love! Haitian bread with peanut butter and their bread is good and Baked fresh. La Bakerie's Haitian patties are legit but be prepared for lack of customer service and a high chance that they are out of patties or have limited options. But the positive side of them being out means there are probably some fresh ones on the way, if you have time to wait, the hot-out-the-oven ones are worth the wait. ( We typically go on the weekends so maybe they're busier at that time. ) Best patty imo is the smoked fish, spinach is pretty good, but they also offer salt fish, beef, and chicken- worth trying them all. My coworker brought chicken pastries and beef pastries from La Bakerie and they were delicious. Super crispy and flaky. Great flavor in the meat. Definitely recommend these items and I hope to stop by when I am in the area. read more

I don't know why they have this as an expensive bakery but it's very moderate in prices. Me and my mom have been coming for 3 years now and so far, I al extremely impressed. Came by to get a couple of meat pies which were $1 each, and they were pretty good. Also bought some bread but I will prefer some french or cuban, or if I'm lucky to find, some puerto rican bread. I live in Ocala and every time I come down Miami, I always stop by to get my patties, cake and bread cake.
