He really is the definition of going above and beyond for the customer. He makes all his pastries every day, and they all taste delicious. Everything is super high quality and fresh. I really like their spinach croissant as it's flaky and buttery. He also makes cute seasonal treats; for Easter, he had these chocolate-covered Oreos and a peanut butter treat in the shape of a chick! I'm a big fan of the matcha as Jorge makes it perfect for my taste. One of my favorite moments was when I asked him what he had for drinks, and he told me that he'll make me anything I want as long as he has the ingredients! Truly so accommodating and such a pleasant experience! Overall, this is a super cute, small local cafe that I highly recommend supporting. For those who have celiac disease (like myself), this cafe does not have any gluten-free options - but don't let that stop you from trying one of their lattes or drink options. I would rate this latte an 8.5 out of 10 based on the appearance, flavor, and size. Regarding Tiramisu lattes, it was one of the better ones that I've tried. The peanut butter latte was also pretty good; however, I feel it could've had a little more coffee or peanut butter flavor. And they have Portuguese fried dough (it has a name in Portuguese, which I can't remember!) which is chewy and sugary, and has a gentle hint of lemon. Yum. If they don't have it here, then it just doesn't exist! They also have your typical coffee shop breakfast items; donuts, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, etc. I ordered a cold "almond joey" coffee, a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich on an onion bagel and a chocolate chip muffin. The coffee tastes exactly what it sounds like - almond joy candy, which is one of my favorites! It was very sweet but very good even though I'm usually not a "sweets" kind of person. The first thing I noticed about my breakfast sandwich is how heavy it was when I grabbed it out of the bag. They did not skimp on sandwich toppings and the cheese was melted to gooey-perfection. My chocolate chip muffin also had probably the most chocolate chips I've ever seen in a muffin!! No skimping here either. I live close by to this spot and I'm mad at myself for not checking it out sooner! Not only is the old school diner vibe here really cool, it will also satisfy your sweet tooth craving!
