The day of my wedding, she had extremely poor planning and time management, and decided it was smart to start me, the bride, last. That resulted in me literally being late, with her rushing to finish. The end result was a mess, it was awful. When I texted her photos afterwards politely expressing my disappointment (with trial and wedding photos attached), she did not offer to refund me but instead offered to redo my hair and makeup again for wedding photo retakes - strange, as how I clearly could not retake photos from that day and had no plans to pay tons of money for another post-wedding photo shoot?? I did a makeup trial for our engagement photo session a few months before the wedding, and Crystal created a natural look that accentuated my best features. In addition to being a top-notch makeup artist, Crystal was a pleasure to work with -- she was responsive to emails and flexible with scheduling (about a week before the wedding, I realized that it would be better if she could start at 9 am on our wedding day instead of the previously agreed upon 10:30 am, and she was able to accommodate the change). Also, Crystal's good taste in music may not seem particularly relevant in this situation, but the music she streamed during the trial and wedding makeup sessions helped create a cheerful and celebratory mood, which helped me relax. I had to wait outside the door for her. The procedure was extremely painful and I was tearing so much. She told me that my eyes were too sensitive and told me to take 2 Benadryl prior to the next appointment, so the eyeliners were left undone. I paid her full amount + nice tips which supposed to cover for both appointments. I followed her instruction and took Benadryl before the next appointment. The door was locked when I arrived. I called her cell phone, left a couple messages, waited for an hour while getting so drowsy from Benadryl. She did not show up and never returned my call. EVER! However, when I had someone else to leave a message to set up an appointment, she called back right away. What a way to run the business! I was really afraid to go back. I wanted to write the review back then, but never got around it. I recently went to A Perfect Line in Millbrae to finally correct the mess on my eyeliners and it was a night and day experience compare to this Permanent Cosmetique.
