Refund receipt instead of making a fresh new order... WOW!!
    Wally Rick R.

Came to the Angels game today... bought The Helmet Nachos and requested one extra scoop of cheese and was denied! Unbelievable!! I requested a new order to be made as the ones I had were already soggy with all the meat and beans.. denied! I always have extra cheese on all my nachos, I offered to pay extra.. denied... I never had a problem with extra cheese at Dodgers Stadium, I'm just saying!! I live in Anaheim and across the street from the stadium! Worst experience here ever!! Refund receipt instead of making a fresh new order... WOW!! The supervisor who helped wasn't helpful and denied making a new fresh order.. he isn't allowed too... #Angels #Dodgers #CustomerService #CustomerRelations

A few coincidental facts about the Angels: 1. The Angels and Texas Rangers (originally the second Washington Senators team) took part in MLB's 1960 expansion draft and began their first seasons in 1961, both as American League teams. 2. Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan played for both the Angels (1972-1979) and Rangers (1989-1993). 3. Hall of Fame right fielder and DH Vlad Guerrero played for both teams too (Angels 2004-2009, Rangers 2010). A couple other notable players to play for both the Angels and Rangers are Josh Hamilton and CJ Wilson, both of whom played in two World Series for the Rangers (2010 and 2011). So, the Angels and Rangers have developed a rivalry. Like the NBA's Lakers and Clippers, Los Angeles fields two teams in MLB as well. The Dodgers have by far the more storied history (since 1883) and championships (six World Series titles from 1955 to 1988). However, currently, the Angels own the most recent championship: 2002. That October, the Angels bested one of their in-state rivals, the San Francisco Giants, four games to three. The MVP of the series was third baseman Troy Glaus who was also a three-time All-Star with the Angels. The Giants had a chance to put the Angels away in Game 6, but Glaus was a big part of the Angels' comeback run in the 7th inning. The history of the franchise, like many in MLB, is interesting, but probably what's most confusing, especially to the casual sports fan, are the series of official name changes the team has had since its inception. The team has had four name changes since 1961: 1. Los Angeles Angels (1961-1964) 2. California Angels (1965-1996) 3. Anaheim Angels (1997-2004) 4. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2005-2015) 5. Los Angeles Angels (2016 to present) Yep, in 2016, they went back to their original name. Unlike the Dodgers who play in Dodger Stadium which is located in Central LA, Angel Stadium is in Anaheim, Orange County, about 30 miles southeast of downtown LA (35 minutes in light traffic, but more likely closer to a 45-minute to one-hour drive).

Nothing bad to say about the stadium besides I wish they let you in 2 hours before first pitch instead of an hour and a half. Not an Angel fan but I go yearly to see the Red Sox. You don't have unruly fans like at dodger stadium so it's nice to see the opposing team. The stadium is nice and leaving is a breeze after the game.

Corroded pipe above our seating leaking droplets all throughout the game

Do not sit in Section 132 row z. Leaking corroded pipe ruined the entire game experience for myself and my family.

I miss going to baseball games, sippin' a nice cold one and eating some helmet nachos! Not the biggest baseball fan but watching the Angels at the stadium is fun. Plus it's right across from my favorite brewery Golden Road! Best place to go before heading to the game, or watching the game during this COVID period.

I love the comment from David C. that "first off... we are not L.A.!!!!" It's Anaheim. The Angels play at a beautiful open stadium. Decent seats don't have to be terribly expensive. But let's mention what makes the Angels a modern day baseball team I want to see go far... Three players, oldest to youngest. Albert Pujols. His stats speak for themselves. His swing is an art form. He's so dedicated and motivated to greatness. But you know what's more impressive to me than his near 3,000-career hits? His off the field endeavors. Back to baseball, though... that time Pujols took the Dodger's Yasiel Puig to school: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHNEOrJarQs Mike Trout. Fun to watch defensively and offensively. Sure, he's got an arrogant demeanor. Many pros do. Let's not forget he is currently the highest paid MLB player. Shohei Ohtani. This Japan-born pitcher can hit. For real. He hit two homers in his first game with the Angels. He has pretty much been on fire with his bat since then. Great ballpark. Can't miss it with those giant red caps. Get there early for a decent parking spot. Yes, it will be chaotic leaving. No need to road rage, though. '18 Challenge #46

Professional baseball is really cool to watch and experience... In real life, the audience makes the game more exciting! (Watching a game at home is such a different thing!) We were at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, so we were at a Home Game where the loyal fans are so energetic, loud, and fun! The LA Angels seem to have great teamwork and spirit! I'm so glad that I got a chance to see them play and beat the Texas Rangers! Yay!

Southern California Baseball! Living in Orange County and around Angel fans for many years i've always found that they've been a solid base and chill people win loose no matter what the way it should be at sporting events! Growing up in San Clemente i always rooted for the Padres I'm always happy for my friends when the Angels are doing well as it's good for what's close to home. Good luck to the Angels and their fans but see you at Petco in SD!

I've grown up being an Angels fan! I was the happiest guy in the world in 2002 when I witnessed the Angels as WORLD CHAMPIONS of baseball! It's been a long time since we've been contenders, but through thick and thin I've been a hardcore fan. I love the new time right now and the direction it is going. Would love to see them contend this season! Go Angels!

I often accompany her to Ducks games and today was the first time this season. We sit near a mother (90-something) and son (60-something) who are there every game. The son has a huge bellowing voice to yell "Let's Go Ducks!!" No doubt the players can hear him from the ice rink. The Honda Center is full of adrenaline and pep and it's entertaining to watch people as much as it is to watch the game! The new parking structure is really nice! I didn't understand why my friend insisted on parking backwards but then it totally made sense as we left just now because it's much easier to join the line of departing cars if you're driving forward. ALSO, if someone kind makes room for you in the line. Thank you, kind person! Back to the Honda Center--we got some chicken tenders and curly fries for $15 for dinner because we were hungry after work. (Usually we just get Dole whip soft serve pineapple (yum))! Generous portions of real chicken meat in three huge tenders which were well cooked and seasoned, on a mountain of curly fries--very satisfying! You grab your own condiments to go, so I got ranch and ketchup. The Ducks played very well and it was fun sitting next to a 5-year-old boy and his dad--the boy was enraptured with the game, shouting things like "Ducks, do better!" To which his dad replied, "well, we ARE winning". I went to my first Ducks game back in 1996, 30 years ago when Paul Kariya was playing. It's still a super fun team to watch live!! I'm sure we'll be back!

We fell lower but went up to 18th. Hopefully we can at least try to get to 15 or 12 or 10th place before the season ends. Background Attended a weekday evening game with the White Sox visiting. Sat on lower-deck first base side. Plenty of Sox fans in attendance, many dressed on Marukami garb. (Unfortunately he didn't start but was a late inning replacement.) Trout homered, Angels soared, 4-3. Stadium The walk into the ballpark is among the ugliest, maybe now THE ugliest in baseball. An old park surrounded first by highways, then by vast cement parking lots. Truly, the Angels and city of Anaheim need to get their collective... budgets... together and finally convert this acreage into an area visitors will enjoy and not... look away from. The stadium itself is OK, especially for a vintage 60-year old field. Good sight lines throughout, no obstructed view seats. Nothing exciting about the outfield view although the faux-stone landscape and fountain in central field is somewhat scenic. Lots of fireworks - for starting lineups, Angel runs, and a couple nifty flamethrowers added in for home runs. The steps down from the 200 level to our seats were steep, a bit difficult to navigate while holding food, sodas and assorted gear. (My wife says this is an "old man" comment, I prefer the term "senior gentleman" but OK, guilty I guess). Food Hot dogs were good, especially the kielbasa, although the bun disintegrated upon pickup. Otherwise, pretty standard fare. Anything Unusual I caught a ball, with a single bare hand! But then bobbled it and a nearby fan with a glove swiped it. But he already had a ball so he gave it back! I gave the ball to a youth sitting next us, except another child also wanted it and started crying, then stared daggers at me for the rest of the game. Sometimes, there's no winning. Summary Well worth a respite from the mouse-eared havoc next door. Tickets are easy to come by, fun place for a family break. This is my 100th Yelp review!!!

First time watching a baseball game at Angel Stadium. Expected the ticket prices on the resale market for 2 sub 0.500 (i.e. not good) teams playing during a weekday day affair to be very low, and I wasn't wrong. It was low enough that I upgraded to first level seating (Row G) on the visitor/first base side, so my wife and I could see home plate clearly and sit near other Sox fans. Getting here by mass transit from DTLB is at least a 2 hour journey (taking only trains would mean going to Union Station and taking Metrolink down to Anaheim...useful for folks who live near Dodger Stadium, interestingly enough). So we drove, getting there about 1 hour before first pitch. We took the Douglas Road entrance (northeast of the stadium), and paid $25 by credit card. We got a parking spot really close to the parking entrance: a bit of a walk to the stadium but easy for a quick getaway onto the nearby Orange (57) freeway. One has to have the MLB ticket app on their phone, as paper tickets are no longer accepted (we used tickpick as our resell provider...seems to be a bit cheaper than competitors like Stubhub and ticketmaster). First stop was security (like most sporting events, small purses and clear backpacks are allowed in). Then needed to get the tickets scanned. Next was finding Section 128, row G. This lower section was in direct sunlight for the entire game, except for maybe row Z. The next section up are the 200's and those seats are shaded by the overhang. We told ourselves if the sun got too hot, we would just move back since there were so many open seats. Had to use the bathroom between the 1st and 2nd inning and found them to be pretty clean. Some other observations: - If you come early to the game, visiting players will sign your memorabilia (need to provide your own permanent marker). This happens right in front near section 128, through a gap in the protective netting. - Players and other employees are constantly throwing used baseballs into the stands. One clear opportunity is when the last out of the top of the inning finishes, the last used ball will be thrown into the stands as the player enters the visitor's dugout. Having a baseball glove is 'hand'y , though we saw some spectators make some great bare-handed catches. - there are 5 different Pokemon gyms throughout the stadium, all with the exact same name: 'Angel Stadium' - beer and food vendors are constantly through the crowd, hawking. Looked like they only accept credit cards. - Beer sales is supposed to stop after the 7th inning stretch. - The player I most wanted to see played 1st base for the Sox, but he (Murakami) had 4 strikeouts including when the bases were loaded in the 7th. The rest of the Sox played poorly as well, losing to the now 15-23 Angels, 2-8. It wasn't a particularly well played game, with the main highlight being shown on the Web, where our second baseman dropped a pop-up because the sun was in his eyes. The best play was made by an Angels pitcher on a bunt-for-hit, bare-handing a dribbler to first on a bang-bang play. And the best discussion my wife and I had was if the clear highlights at the end of Murakami's haircut was dyed, or bleaching from the sun. It was that sort of game for Sox fans.

Family and friends changing 4 would better accommodate my situation. I also paid the $1000 for tailgating parking. Each of the last 4 years I tried to add a seat. I was told none were available. My friend who is in the army and stationed in Germany called to get tickets 2 years ago and the Chargers sold him 4 tickets better than mine for less. I mentioned this to my so called rep with the Chargers and said there are different tickets but would not provide details. Why as a customer am I getting treated different. I was born in SD in a military family. Why I am a Charger fan. This year I expressly stated I would not renew unless I could get a 4th seat. I had friends call to buy 4 tickets and they were told no problem. I was told to wait for relocation time. Relocation time I got an email stating I can move my 3 tickets but if I wanted to add or remove tickets I needed to call. I called and they saw the 4 years of my calls and requests. I was told they had to talk with the lead staff to see what they could do. After a long hold the Chargers stated since I sold some of my tickets the last few seasons they would not sell me a fourth ticket. I can not in recommend doing business with the Chargers. I don't know the schedule when the games are. I don't know where I will be or if you will flex tickets that we planned for. Most importantly you can't sell these tickets you greedy tool. A lot of people agree, the Chargers shouldn't have moved from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017…read more Since then, the Chargers have solidified their second-tier status with other secondary LA teams. They include the Angels (MLB), Clippers (NBA), Ducks (NHL), and LAFC (MLS). The Dodgers (2020), Lakers (2020), Kings (2014), and Galaxy (2014) have won league championships more recently than their LA counterparts. The Rams are the last team to win the Super Bowl (2022). I think the Chargers are most comparable to the Clippers. The Chargers and Rams share SoFi Stadium as their home stadium. The Lakers and Clippers share Crypto.com Arena as their home arena. The Chargers haven't won a Super Bowl and have made it to The Big Game only one time (1994). The Rams have won two Super Bowls and have made it to The Big Game five times. The Chargers and Clippers have spent less time in LA than the Rams and Lakers, respectively. Also, coincidentally, the Chargers and Clippers both moved from San Diego to LA (the Clips moved to LA in 1984). Throughout history, the Chargers haven't been a bad team. They just haven't had much postseason success despite their fair share of playoff appearances. I know the Chargers best for the Philips Rivers era. Rivers went to college the same time I did. As a Georgia Tech student and fan, I watched Rivers' career unfold when he was the QB at conference rival NC State. Rivers would go on to have a 16-year career with the Chargers (2004-2019). He started every game during the 2006-2019 seasons. Including his final NFL season with the Indianapolis Colts, Rivers is second all-time in most consecutive starts (240) by an NFL QB behind Brett Favre (297). Rivers has the most passing yards and passing touchdowns among NFL players to have never reached the Super Bowl. The closest Rivers got to the Super Bowl was the 2008 AFC Championship Game (2007 season), a 21-12 loss at New England. Rivers never played in another conference championship game. The Rivers era coincided with LaDainian Tomlinson's time with the Chargers (2001-2010). LT was an absolute beast in his prime, which was at the same time the Chargers last made the aforementioned AFC title game. He set the NFL record in rushing touchdowns in 2006 with 28 touchdowns. From 2004 to 2007, LT led the league in rushing TDs three out of four years. He also led the league in rushing yards in back-to-back seasons, 2006-2007. He was the NFL's MVP in 2006. Since moving to LA in 2017, the Chargers have had three winning seasons. However, they've only made the playoffs once (in January 2019; 2018 season). The team just finished its first season under new head coach Brandon Staley. This is Staley's first job as an NFL head coach. He spent the previous few years as a linebackers coach for the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos and, most recently, as the defensive coordinator for the Rams.

The NBA's activation outside for the upcoming All-Star game was more exciting and impressive than the activities inside. I still enjoyed the game, however LeBron James is such a ball hog, I could not with this man. Luka is a whiner and the team/fans just gave me a vibe of conceit. It's lame when a team feels you should kiss their feet for championships they've won in the past. I'm not digging this Laker culture.
