His crew showed up early and worked hard all day. 1-when they started I told them my stamped concrete driveway could get damaged and they should stay off the driveway. Instead, A tractor ran back and forth, grinding sand, and taking off finish. 2- Then the rain came. The infill sand washed out all over the driveway. They used a non- permeable base under the turf. Crushed granite should have been used but we were never given the option to pay more for the correct material for out soil and drainage. 3- The mature oak. The turf was installed all the way to the tree trunk rather than cutting in a tree well. I wasnt given an option. Because the 4" road base wont allow water or oxygen into the soil, the tree will die. 4- flooding. The water sails off the turf like a waterslide and has nowhere to go except towards the house. 5- the seam is visible with a human on one side. Colton says to just keep an eye on it!! Yep, Im still watching the water overflow and not absorbing into the soil underneath. I might as well have paved it with concrete. Colton said he would remove it at my expense. Don't be fooled by his big smile.

If I could give Black Tie six stars, believe me, I would. I've never seen anything like their…read morelevel of customer service and professionalism in the construction industry before. From start to finish, they were a joy to work with. Last August, our roof was damaged in the big hail storm that passed through the metroplex. On a friend's recommendation, we contacted Black Tie. Their rep came out and met with our insurance adjuster to do the walkthrough. He handled virtually everything. The insurance company came back with an extremely lowball approval and he walked us through how to appeal it and get a new adjuster. He then met with the new adjuster, spending a significant amount of his time getting us approved for what needed to be done. Finally, when the "joy" of working with the insurance company was over, it was time to schedule the project. He helped us with colors and materials, etc. and got the construction day on the books. Once the day finally arrived, he and his team could not have been more thorough. They covered everything in the yard that was even remotely fragile to protect it, including the whole swimming pool. They were extremely courteous as they worked. We barely knew they were here. They even stopped and took a moment to bolt a fence plank back on that had been down since long before they got there. Next came the gutters. Same experience. They knocked everything out in record time and with absolutely no hassle on our end. If you need a roof or have other construction needs, give Black Tie a call.
