xtremely Disappointed - Would Give Zero Stars If I Could This business, located just outside the gates of Fort Leonard Wood, is blatantly taking advantage of our Soldiers and their families. Their pricing is not only overpriced but also wildly inconsistent. They advertise one rate, but depending on the technician's mood or who they're servicing, the price can fluctuate by anywhere from $5 to $40 for the exact same service--from day to day and from person to person. In one instance, when I respectfully questioned the quality of the service I was receiving--especially given the high cost--the technician abruptly stood up and yelled, "Get someone else to do them." Sadly, this wasn't an isolated event. I've witnessed similar unprofessional behavior from staff at LV Nails toward other patrons who dared to question the service. That level of disrespect is absolutely unacceptable. It's clear this business sees its patrons--including our military community--not as valued customers, but as easy sources of profit. Their actions reflect a focus on money over integrity, exploiting both Soldiers and civilians without regard. This business has certainly changed for the worse. It's disheartening that such a place is allowed to operate in our community, treating people with blatant disregard and disrespect. We deserve better. I strongly urge others to take their business elsewhere--where they are respected and treated with fairness. read more

I have gone to this nail place for years, but it's slowly gone down hill. Today was my final straw. I went in for a pedicure. Bc my last experience wasn't so great, i thought maybe if i upgraded to a higher package that would maybe improve the service. Not at all. The skinnier build very young man did my service (unfortunately Jimmy wasn't available, i request him bc he always takes his time and provides great service) My entire service: remove gel off toes, soak, scrub, clippings, "massage", hot towel thrown on my legs and walked away, along with gel to my toes was ALL COMPLETE IN 17 minutes from the time i arrived. I made a comment to him that that was the quickest $60 pedicure I've ever received. And his response was "do you normally come here?" I verified i received the upgraded pedicure as well, and he didn't respond just walked away and moved on. This is just disappointing and feels like i was jipped to pay $60 for a service to not even get close to what it should be. 20 minutes is a pedicure that i could well do at home. I'm a local resident and small beauty business owner so i know what it's like to service the public and more so having someone write a bad review. I never do this but i just wanted someone to be aware. There are several other places in the area, and unfortunately I won't be come back, as a client here since 2007. :( read more

The staff is friendly, but my nail tech did a very sloppy job. Also, there is a noticeable gap between the acrylic nail and my cuticle all the way around. My natural nails show as though they have several days growth, but they were filled today. Nail tech was nice. Made sure I liked it. She was gentle and made sure she fixed any errors. I was pretty happy with my manicure with gel polish. My only complaint is they don't seem to clean things off like the lights and stuff. Bathroom had no paper towels to dry with, I had to use my shirt. Did not receive the greeting of the day first off, all I got was "what do you want", secondly the man doing my nails was very rough with the file and was squeezing my fingers, and when I asked for him to let up a tad all he said was "I'll make sure you get someone different next time." The technician I had was ehh ok. Massage was 2 mins a leg and the nail polish application part was horrible. I asked her to clean the nail polish on the side of my toe since it was sloppy and she had an attitude. Then I asked to make a correction and she got pissed. Clearly they had a line out the door and they want everyone to be seen but take care of the customer that is right in front of you first and then you can move on to the next one. I have been going to LV since I was a teenager and last night was the worst experience I ever had. I walked in and said I wanted a $25 full set and in the end got charged $40! If I said 25 than why would you ask me (not knowing it was more) what shape I want!! Under New Management= 100% BETTER Super pleased with the customer service now. The environment was so friendly and the nail techs actually interacted with their clients! I walked in (after losing an apt I had made at another nail place) and asked if I could get a pedicure. They sat me down at a chair and I was able to soak for about 20 mins, but during that time I was asked at least two times if I was good or needed anything. I decided to get a shellac manicure and eye brow wax. Everything turned out great and I even got a rose when I left (probably because it was Mother's Day weekend). I got the gel manicure there. It was pretty decent and I would go back there again. DO NOT GO THERE for eyelashes. I thought since the manicure was done well, they would do eyelashes decently.....WRONG!!! I've lived here for 2 years and everyone around here tells me that LV is the only place to go. The manicures are OK because when you're getting a manicure it might actually be by a licensed technician. DO NOT get your eyebrows done here. They do not know how to do brows. I found a professional waxer to fix the mess they did in winter that took months to regrow. They also double dip their wax! Which is very unsanitary! The pedicures are another story. They use pedeggs to scrub your feet or the low quality foot files you can get at sally beauty supply. When you go home you still have calluses meanwhile they complain about how much calluses you have. They don't allow the callus remover to sit on your feet for the recommended 5-10 minutes they just start scrubbing. Only one technician is allowed to use a proper foot file according to one of the employees I spoke to. Twice now LV's technicians injured my feet. My toes are very swollen but luckily I recognized the symptoms immediately before having to go on antibiotics. The nail technician removed way too much nail and took a chunk of cuticle off with it. I will never return to this salon again. I really hope they stop injuring people. I tried to bring this problem to the salons attention but they just blamed me. I always read bad reviews about LV Nails but my friend convinced me to go and I am beyond glad that I did. I've been in the Saint Robert area for almost 3 years and everywhere I go, they mess up my eyebrows. I went today, did not have to wait, and my eyebrows were PERFECT. The place was busy. Anyway, there was an elder lady waiting before me. Henry took her after he finished up with the girl. There were other nail techs available at this time. Horrible nail experience, I went in for a full gel set. She begun doing my nails, she did not put enough glue for the nail tip to stick to my nails and had to redo a few of my nails. Continuing with the nail appointment I notice my pointer finger nail tip is very crooked, I tell her politely if she can fix it and she still continues to file the nail. I told her again that's when she talked to her co worker and says they will do your nails when they are done with the other clients. If you don't like the way I'm doing it they will, I simply asked her to fix one nail tip. I tell her I'm not waiting and I'll just leave and go to another salon. He told me there were two people in front of me when I asked for a rough estimate of the wait time, yet FIVE people went before me. So today I got my nails done by Jimmy. I'm military and we are at work or up in the morning starting at 0400 or earlier, so when we go to the salon, for me, I choose who is available. Jimmy is always booked or there is a line for him and there is a reason why. Jimmy does nails to perfection! I'm telling the truth! No matter how busy it is, his eye for a single nail is spot on and you get what you want and more. I have had my nails done by his sister as well and she is perfect...however, I recommended to Jimmy in house training, because no one else does nails like Jimmy there and that's why he is always busy and recommended. If jimmy took an hour in the morning before the salon opened, I think he would get a break. My nails are so perfect I came home and opened six cans of vegetables just to look at my nails. Customers are always coming in, but I think the work from other technicians could be improved by 90%. The salon is very busy as they are the only ones who could do an alright job, but could be so much better and tips would be more sizable if the actual work was better with his employees. Pedicures are always great. Price range is very high too though, like very high. Overall, train your staff Jimmy! read more
