Let me first say my initial reason for writing this review is in response to the ludacris and insane review written by Lisa somebody. It's almost laughable after having Donna work on my skin for 15years and having had the opportunity to train with her as she is the top in her field of medical aesthetics and has been for over 20yrs! She is and I quote Harper's Bazzare, "the doyenne of dermaplaning".. You must have bumped your head as you left the spa. The personal digs and intent to slander Donna and her name are vicious. They weren't even appropriate nor were they speaking of her professionally. By the sound of it you are the one that is "Jealous" and have some personal vendetta w Donna? Maybe you have interest in a past lover of hers? Hmmm I can tell you Donna is incredibly beautiful and jealous of no one. Beyond gentle and rarely if ever (unless requested) does extractions. So I call bull shit on you and your bogus review. Please do everyone a favor and get a hobby. This is unacceptable and just wrong! Reading your past reviews you NEVER have anything positive to say. There's no way Donna Messenger (Google her) would ever do such a thing and consider yourself lucky that Karin was busy and you had the privilege of seeing Donna. Though wait. isn't Karin your friend, I'm sure you knew she was unavailable that day. As far as being pretty, aren't you being a bit generous with yourself Lisa! People.. Please Do your research on Donna Messenger yourself! She is the best in her field and we are all privileged to have her here to make us beautiful. read more

DONNA MESSENGER, " The doyenne of dermaplaning" - Harper's Bazaar For anyone that has read Lisa V.'s comment please take time to read the following: Donna has been a licensed aesthetician for almost thirty years. Donna has spent the majority of her career working in New York, NY. and Sarasota, FL. Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, New York and Korean InStyle magazines have recognized Donna as a leading professional in her field. Furthermore, she has been interviewed by U.S. broadcasting companies such as, NBC, FOX, CNN Medical and Today, as well as Spanish and German networks. Donna has conducted numerous seminars and taught many physicians, nurses and aestheticians to dermaplane and how to perform advanced skin care techniques, including light to medium depth face peels and give pre and post op instructions. Some of these places include top hospitals and universities, such as, University of Miami, The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, The Lahey Clinic, OSU and UAB, Alabama to mention a few. NOTE: Donna is fortunate to be able to partner with L Spa ("Spa"). The Spa and all involved are a wonderful team of professionals that look to exceed client expectations. Donna is an obvious choice for someone looking to get the best possible service regarding skin care. I do not know what Lisa V., from the Sarasota Ritz Carlton is talking about... I'd like to see photographs. Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence. read more

I had taken two Aleve and fish oil when I was asked if I had any Aleve in my system. That worried me, and I said so, because I didn't know Aleve had any effect on Botox, but the tech. clearly knew. Nevertheless she reassured me it would be fine and proceeded to treat me joking the worst I could get is a "rogue freckle." I woke up the next morning- Christmas Eve- with a black and blue eye one would not imagine possible. And sadly impossible to cover up for the holidays. I am convinced the tech disregarded safe practices for profit... I seriously question whether I should have been treated at all given the clearly increased risk as well as my outspoken concern. It is now 7 days later, New Years Eve, and my eye is still an unsightly 'eyesore' no make up can conceal. Adding insult to injury, I emailed the salon my entire experience 7 days ago and have received no response. I would call this negligence bordering malpractice. read more

Disclaimer to L. Spa This is a personal response Hi Hiedi B. I sincerely apologize for you having a bad experience on my service. You did mention about it to me and I offered to redo the color after 1 coat which I've explain that it would fill in after the 2nd coat. But you insist on having 1 coat of gray and 1 coat of shear pink on top of it. As I remember correctly that you declined it after I offered. Then I've went up to the front desk and informed them that you were unhappy and I've told them to take the shellac charge off and hence you weren't charge without telling them. Which makes more sense since they aren't licensed nail tech and didn't charge you without you telling them that it was badly done. I will again offer a redo free of charge or have a different nail tech do your services which is another great alternative choice. Once again I do apologize and this is a disclaimer to L. Spa. Thank you, Christian read more

I've been a SkinSpirit member for years…read moreand have visited multiple locations across the U.S., and this one is easily one of the nicest--beautiful, modern, and super easy to find right on the main street. Parking is simple too; you can park at Chase Bank or in the Sprouts lot and walk right over. What I love most about SkinSpirit is the consistency. No matter which state I'm in--California, Texas, New York, Arizona, Hawaii--you get the same high-level care, the same menu of services, and providers with truly top-tier credentials. They really do hire the best in each area, and it shows. I also love how easy it is to book appointments. You can schedule follow-ups right at the location, but honestly, their website is my favorite. Whenever I need something last-minute, I just log into my account, check the calendar, and book instantly. It's the simplest, most user-friendly appointment system I've ever used. You can search for any provider who's available or choose your favorite and see their next open slot--it couldn't be more convenient. If you're already a SkinSpirit regular, you can trust this location to deliver the same high standards. If you're new, I highly recommend making the switch from wherever you're currently going for facials, Botox, or skincare. SkinSpirit isn't new to Florida and it's definitely not new to the U.S.--they're well known nationwide for a reason. The experience starts the moment you walk in. The space is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect, the chairs are ridiculously comfortable, and the check-in process is quick and easy on a tablet. Everything is designed to make you feel relaxed, confident, and cared for. The staff here are some of the kindest, most professional people you'll ever meet. They take their time answering questions but also respect that sometimes you're on a tight schedule. I've had quick 10-minute visits during a lunch break and longer 30-minute appointments when I needed extra guidance. They're never pushy with products either--they've even recommended affordable alternatives I could grab at Ulta. And no judgment, ever. I've walked in looking rough after long days and also walked in dressed up--either way, they treat you with the same warmth. I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Emily and Dr. Cally for making this visit one of the best SkinSpirit experiences I've ever had. Dr. Cally is by far the most experienced SkinSpirit doctor I've seen in my time with the company. If this location is going to be your home base, I highly recommend her. She used to own her own practice. The girl is legit. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made this appointment feel extra special. Honestly, I think it's also a testament to Florida in general--people here are just so welcoming, friendly, and wonderful. There are also great savings options: refer a friend and you get $50 off, you can use the Alle app to save on Botox, and they offer birthday discounts too. Overall, the Sarasota location is everything SkinSpirit is known for: luxury, consistency, expertise, and genuinely caring staff. Absolutely worth visiting. She also criticized me for my "oily hair" my bad, went a day without washing and didn't use dry shampoo I knew I was getting my hair done. My purpose was to get my grey hairs covered up. She told me I couldn't do an all over color, so she was doing highlights. Ok, you're the professional. She commented on how I live in Florida now and need to be more blonde, wasn't sure what that meant until the end of the appointment. I left the salon with pretty much no color to my hair, which is not what I asked for. This is probably one of the worst color jobs I've ever had and I have to go to a wedding like this. Not only did she leave me with pretty much no color, she didn't even bother to tone my hair, so I do have a lot of brass. As a Lakewood national resident this is a huge bummer because I would have loved to have had a good salon right in my neighborhood, but this is not a good salon.
