We found the restaurant through Michelin guide and was very pleased with our dining experience at L Oste Scuro - a cozy trattoria atmosphere in a popular, central fashionable location that stresses the freshness of the proprietor's dishes: fish and other seafood.
On the appetizers featured a few different fish carpaccio dishes. We ordered the fish carpaccio with peas, carot centrifuge and thyme: was refreshing and showcased the freshest Ingredients.
There was also a seafood stew- 1 was particularly intrigued by the "into the sea" chilled pasta dish, it was refreshing - with the perfectly Al dente noodles and the fresh chilled mussels and clams tasted like the sea.
There was a few choices of fried mixed seafood. We ordered the fried shell fish with tomato and bread, burrata and black garlic cream, that was spectacular. The lightly fried clams and mussels were perfection.
Another section featured selection of assorted oysters and caviar.
We sat outdoors at the back courtyard, the setting is very intimate (and romantic) - perfect for couples or meals with friends. Service was amazing - the chef came around multiple times, clearly explained the menu to us. We had a wonderful meal here: highly recommend if you are in Verona. Book ahead. read more
