This is a huge LLBean store, and because it's the Sunday before Christmas, it was really busy. Service was friendly and fast. They have a huge selection, they had a gift section, too, for the holidays. There's a lot of parking, and it's in a nice shopping area with a lot of popular stores. read more

Hadn't been in this L.L. bean since right around when it opened ... I have to say this was the best in store llbean experience I've had. I usually go to the location in KOP and not that I have had a bad experience there but this one was 100x better. The staff here is so sweet and attentive. One worker helped my brother size pants perfectly , another made sure to ask if I needed help or wanted to leave items behind the register since I had a handful of stuff and our cashier was behind helpful, bubbly, and sweet! She helped us use our coupons and dealt with all of our concerns ! Whoever the GM here is hiring and training great employees and the service shows it! The store is also bigger, brighter, cleaner and I feel like has a nicer selection of items! We walked out with some new items between both my brother and I and I definitely will be sure to return to this location when I'm in the market for llbean! read more

Evidently the store feels like they have enough business and should close early even during a down retail period / pandemic. Showed up two minutes before closing, door was locked. The shaking of the locked door caught the interest of someone behind the desk (who seemingly hid from me) when we made eye contact. What she didn't know is that I had a specific item in mind and just needed to find my size, buy, and leave. I really enjoyed my visit at LL Bean because there are clinics that are run on-site. I took a fly fishing lesson at the small pond behind the store. THERE ARE FISH IN THE POND! You can really try your luck with LL Bean instructor. However, you are given just a feather on the end without a hook. Otherwise, my instructor told me that fishing licenses are required. Here is a few things to expect for clinics at this particular store. * Fly fishing lessons * Canoe/kayak lessons There is a fee for the lesson but I have never heard of opportunities like this. You don't have to drive all the way out of civilization like Delaware Gap to get a whole weekend lesson. Also, I got my favorite shoulder-strap bookbag sent out for repair. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Here is a side comment to take note for people who use their repair service. LL Bean no longer have its lifetime guarantee but instead have the lifetime satisfaction. Basically, this means they will replace your obsolete bag for an updated bag in stock. The charge for repairs and delivery does not make it worthwhile for LL Bean to continue this service. However, the nice lady made an exception for me since I could not part with my leather-bottom bookbag with my undergrad alumni sewed-on patch. A little trickier since they had to call the main factory in Freeport, Maine. But, it was totally worth it with a small fee which was nothing since the bag was worth a whole lot more than the updated all-canvas without leather bottom. read more

You hear all of the prattle about L.L Bean in terms of their items quality and their legendary customer service or return policy on things. The problem of course is that sometimes when you actually see what they practice versus what they preach the two don't exactly mesh. The children were bought backpacks online a little less than three years ago by a family member who is now deceased. The first bag is still in good shape and is perfectly fine. The other bag started to fray around the main compartment zipper after about six months and finally a bit after the two year mark, the fabric around that same zipper ripped in two places. For whatever reason, we opted to finish out the school year with the rip and chose to punt dealing with it until later. Well this past week is later and my experience at this store more or less mirrors what Dave W. got in terms of attitude and a shake down. I get there around five on Friday and the place is dead so I figured this would be good in terms of being able to choose something and not being rushed with processing the exchange. Upon getting to the register the associates who were trying to interrogate (oops, I meant help) me could not find my name in their system even though I explained to them multiple times that I didn't buy the items, the deceased family member did. Supposedly they could see the family members name in the system but were not allowed/couldn't/wouldn't access that profile/sales record since that person was not present or it was more than two years ago I don't know as each one gave different reasons. After about a good 10-15 minutes finally they tell me that the bag has been discontinued by L.L. Bean which also means that instead of an exchange for something on the shelves one for one now we're talking about getting a gift card for store credit that would cover about 50% of a comparable new bag. When I question this, I'm given a lecture about the return policy with the tone being that's it's more or less my fault that the receipt is not present, The Company already discontinued the bag so what do I expect and the original purchaser really should be present (damn death thing). After this I was exhausted so I took said gift card and made a comparable bag purchase which cost me more than the gift card and walked out the door positive never come to this Bean location ever again and questioning whether I would ever make another purchase from them since obviously the 100% guarantee does not really mean 100% and made for life is more like made for six months until it starts to fall apart. (On a sidebar, this location is more like outside of Bethlehem versus Quakertown which is nearly twice as far.) read more

Well ....... let me start off with saying that: L.L. bean stores, products and policies are way above the Retail standards of their peers. LL BEANS clothing lines are very well made and durable. The stores are always clean and well organized. Their visa rewards system is outstanding. I have been a 25yr L.L. bean shopper The L.L. beans forever return policy is the only thing I miss. This review isfor the store and the Associates, NOT the stuff. Let me start by saying, I've been shopping at (or coming to) LL Bean since I was 4. The quality is excellent, and the service is second to none (In Freeport that is). Also, the return policy is the best in the world. Apparently the people at this store don't get it. I came in last year with some returns and was interrogated. I chalked it up to a rogue associate. Nope. Same thing this year. I've received less guff for eating veal at a PETA convention (ok, that's an over exageration) I wish they could abide by the same standards as their cousins up north. ... "oh, returns, sorry that you didn't like them, is thew anything particular wrong that we can fix. No? Alright, if you don't have any receipts, I'll look them up. If you'd like to shop while I do that, feel free. I'll have it ready for you in a bit". Here, she's got a sour puss, and is acting like I just spanked my kids in front of her. This place is OK for Walmart, but way out of line with the spirit of LL. read more

This LL Bean is one of the more spacious ones that I've been to, but of course I've only ever been to 2 (this one in Center Valley and the King of Prussia location). The Center Valley location definitely blows the KOP LL Bean out of the water in terms of store design, merchandise stock and customer service. The first time I came to this location was to try on a pair of their bean boots (after a not so great attempt at the KOP location) and the associate in the shoe section was super helpful and knowledgeable regarding the boots. My second visit here was to return another pair of snow boots I purchased and I was in and out of the line in approximately 5 minutes. The store itself is in a pretty large space with a lot of natural lighting. There's a very cabin-like feel when you walk in and they're stocked with plenty of clothing and outdoor sporting goods and accessories. If this were a little closer to me, I'd definitely make this store my go-to for outdoor gear. read more

This is quite a large store, and it's stock is mostly clothing and shoes. Other locations tend to have more kayaks, waterboards, etc. The service is what I have come to expect from all LLBeans- it's perfect. This is a beautiful LL Bean store outside of Quakertown. I was in town visiting family and was between this store and the King of Prussia store. Visiting the King of Prussia Mall right before Black Friday wasn't my idea of a good time, so I was glad I came here instead. I had ordered an LL Bean coat online (the Winter Warmer coat) and it was too big. Rather than wait for an exchange by mail, I exchanged in the store. I love this place especially when I get a 25 % off coupon. I have an obsession with their coats and jackets. I have five, so no matter the weather I'm set. The rugged ridge parker is incredibly warm. I have been out in subzero temperatures and couldn't imagine wearing anything else in that type of weather. I'm back today looking for an upgrade. read more

I am always in this store and find it has great merchandise and fantastic salespeople! One of my favorite places to buy fitness clothes, ski jackets etc, and shoes!! Oh and PJs too! I wanted to give a review because I needed a bike rack for my car and the whole experience was fantastic! I went in and a saleman helped me pick out the best bike rack for me. He then told me they have a Boat and Bike weekend coming up that has 20% off related items. So i wrote down what I needed and called in on friday before, and had them hold my rack for me, and I would be in on saturday to buy it! Well good thing I did reserve it because they had sold out of everything by saturday afternoon! So i went in and actually the nice guy that held the item for me was there and he carried it up for me so I could pay. He then took it back and by the time I got done paying he almost had it put together. He and another helpful guy both took me out to my car and installed it, and explained all about how it works! Gotta love LLBean! Also bought some excellent ski pants and a snow jacket there over Christmas, and multiple presents for family. Like I said I am in there all the time and have been a LLBean customer for over 25 years!! With their guarantee you cant go wrong dealing with them! Oh and I do NOT understand the other reviews where they had issues returning??? I have returned a few things that had issues and NEVER EVER had an problem! They must have had a newbie! Doing Christmas shopping not always fun and ran into a snag. An item my sister wants is on backorder on line. So with that being said knowing we will be traveling to pa. I called this store in center valley that had the product in stock and wanted to make some arrangements for someone to pick this up. The sales woman told me no problem we will just send it to you at no charge. This was done in about a 5 minute phone call! I could only wish the rest of my shopping could go that easy. Their web site recently was not even reachable when I tried to register my disappointment with a recent order. (I had to wait two months for a back ordered item and the monogramming was not up to Beans previous high standards. I was at the Store in Center Valley, PA on 11/1/14 around 2pm. I was looking at buying two pairs of the daybreak scuffs because of the price 49.95. Three store employees walked passed me and not a single person asked if I needed help. This was by far one of the worst customer service experience's I have ever had at this store.
