We were in the tumultuous process of trying to get new carpet installed within a very tight timeframe. Every place I checked did not have the carpet that I was looking for in stock and it would NOT arrive in time --but Alex at Elite assured me that he had what I wanted in stock or he could order/get it in time, if needed. I was super impressed by the first conversation with Alex because I had already spoken to a few other carpet places and had been getting the same responses from all the others --they would need to access the house to take measurements in order to give me an accurate estimate/quote ---which is NOT easily done when you're in escrow and the house is still occupied by the current owner. Alex assured me that he already knew the measurements because he has access to an exclusive database that contains that information. We had laminate put in about 8 years ago. Since then the dogs have scratched it and it began…read moreseparating. In short, it looked horrible. So we decided to look for tile, which will hold up longer. We did the usual (Home D), spent 50 bucks for him to come out and measure and never call us back with an estimate along with a couple other locals. Last minute we drove by Celebrity on 6th and Beaumont. We stopped to see what time it was open since it was already late and businesses were closed. Even though it was after closing time Willie Mendoza let us come in and look around. We explained our problem and the mistak Willie made us feel right at home and showed us different tiles. He also gave us an education on how tile is suppose to be prepped and laid. My wife asked LOTS of questions and Mr. Mendoza was very patient. Even though it was after hours he followed us to our house and did the measurements. I might add he is very pro American and military which is important to us. I don't remember all the details but the price generally worked out to $7.50-$8.00 per square foot. We thought that was kind of expensive but after going to two other places and finding out they want in excess of $10 per square foot we decided to go with Celebrity Carpets. We also went with the porcelain tiles. The job included tear up laminate in our living, family, dining room, two hallways and kitchen. And tear up preexisting tile in our laundry room, closet and two bathrooms. All to be replaced with that beautiful tile. Work day came and the crew was all friendly but hard workers. By the way, 0830 sometimes means 0900 so expect that. They stopped to answer all of our questions and did just as we ask them. They were also very meticulous about cleaning up behind themselves after every day. While tearing up the laminate and baseboards we found mold in the walls between the family room and the bathrooms. Willie, who is not there all the time but stops in quite often to check on his crew and the job assured us he was able to take care of it. They cut out the offending walls, dealt with the mold, and replaced, textured and repainted the wall. They even went a step further and repainted the whole wall so the two different paints did not look different. I will finish by saying they also replaced all the baseboards with similar ones to avoid dealing with the mold and older baseboards. he also changed out the squared off corners for bullnose ones which will be in one of my pictures. FOR FREE! Some of the other things I liked was that they cut the baseboards so you couldn't see the seam. It might be standard but obviously not in my house. They were just squared off at different parts of the wall. Generally the process was to seal the cracks, level the floor, and put down an anti fracture so the tiles are less likely to break. If you don't know what all that is look it up. Its important. Now the plumbing. Didn't go so well.The plumber came in and put new copper in and raised the height of the handle so we didn't have to bend so far. My wife wanted the flange replaced since it was rusted and appeared to be leaking also. They cut the concrete, replaced the flange and repaired the concrete. He placed in the tub and surround. I should have ask more questions because he looked like he was having problems squaring it. I honestly thought that maybe the wall was out of square. Eventually, he got it in. It looked fine from the door. He gave the ok for the tile guy to finish and left. While they were placing subway tile to the ceiling FOR FREE because it looked better we noticed it wasn't in square. I checked it and it was way off level and there were gaps where the surrounds come together. The worse part was this "professional" plumber knew all this and didn't bother to inform me. Make sure you check everything because its YOUR money. I called Mr. Mendoza and was not happy. I must say he was very receptive and appeared just as upset as I was. He immediately had two of his workers come over and fix it. It included taking down the tile and removing and reinstalling the tub and shower after leveling the floor with self leveler. His crew made sure I seen that the work was done right this time. One day he also sent only the tile men and no workers to finish up other work. I knew he was doing other jobs but my time is important also. It just took a phone call to get an apology and two workers sent right away. He also replaced the closet drywall FOR FREE since it also had mold. We also threw a few curveballs like a new tub and toilet. No problem. Like any job you have to do your homework, ask questions, get estimates and point out anything you aren't happy with. The real stars are the workers and their attention to detail. But Mr. Mendoza delivered exactly what he promised and more. I would highly recommend CELEBERITY CARPETS.

When she called to accept the bid,she was greeted by a very rude person who gave her a nasty attitude because of her accent. My sister still wanted to give it a chance and went to visit the business, and the same lady continued with the RUDE attitude treating my sister horribly. With that said, thank you but no thank you. She will be taking her business somewhere else. If a customer is willing to pay for a job done, the least you as a business can do is show some respect to that customer regarless of their accent
