Made reservations via RESY for dinner at L'Incanto in charming downtown Greer, SC after a day at the BMW Driving Experience. We arrived a bit early but were seated quickly. Our server was Jazlyn and she was fantastic; friendly and yet very professional. She was also clearly proud of the food coming out of the kitchen and definitely steered us well to some amazing dishes as first- time customers. We began with very well-prepared cocktails and were given time to enjoy those as we perused the menu. Appetizers ordered were the Carciofi: artichoke bottom stuffed with crab and on a bed of the most divine cream sauce which made us doubly glad that we had also ordered the fresh, warm focaccia bread to soak up every single drop. (I could eat that sauce as a soup!) We then had the Costoletta, a breaded bone-in pork chop in a cognac and veal stock topped with a light, lemon-dressed arugula salad. The plate was beautiful and delicious. Oh the sauces here! I had the lobster ravioli and while it was #3 of our favorite dishes, I would still order it again. My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day and although the service was good the food was very mediocre. We both got pasta and the quality was the same as Olive Garden, unfortunately the price was quadruple the cost. It's not that the food was bad but for that price it felt like we got robbed. If you want a deserted restaurant with tiny portions, mediocre taste, inflated prices and average service this is your place. My wife had four tiny ravioli and I had a chewy split chicken breast plus three drinks and a desert for $160 including tip. The most unremarkable meal I've had in quite some time. I took my fiance here for his birthday last week after a friend had recommended it (many times). Atmosphere was decent, nicely decorated but you could overhear everyone in the main dining area. Our server was friendly, attentive and made a few suggestions for us. We started with the focaccia bread which was delicious, my fiance got the filet (on special)-this really stole the show. It came with bacon wrapped asparagus and Gorgonzola mashed potatoes, done perfectly medium rare. I ordered the bolognese and we both agreed it was lacking a lot of flavor. The meat was great and tender but the dish overall just had an overpowering tomato sauce flavor rather than a rich beef flavor that we would usually expect. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the waiter was stellar. The artichoke appetizer was very good, but for the price, would've been nice to have 4 pieces, not just 3. We ordered the specials and they were just ok. The filet with Gorgonzola sauce was cooked as I asked but no Gorgonzola flavor on the sauce. The pappardelle with shrimp in another hand was a very heavy dish, that featured a red sauce. It was way too much pasta and not many shrimp. Absolutely blown away! I expected quaint and cozy with a very good menu, and those expectations were exceeded. The bar looked inviting so I'll return to try that later. Waitress Jazz was bubbly, shared the specials from memory, and had great suggestions from the menu. I had the GRRR old-fashioned to begin, which I recommend trying, as they managed to make this staple taste above average. But the food was off the leash! They had burrata for an appetizer which is always a treat. The Maryland crab on artichoke hearts was delicious, and that comes from a Marylander who has very high crab standards. For dinner, I had the rack if lamb special and it was amazing! They brought the sizzling rack sitting on a bed of potatoes, a small side of greens with a delicious salty dressing, and a subtly sweet relish that was probably peach. It had an incredible aroma of salt and a hint of barbecue smoke, and I just couldn't stop sniffing it. It was cooked to the perfect temperature, and when dipped in the moat of balsamic gravy and then the relish, absolute fireworks! The meal was so good none of us wanted dessert... until we heard the options, and then we caved like we hadn't eaten all day. We ordered salted caramel gelato and the affogato, which was vanilla gelato with espresso and Frangelico liquor poured upon it. Both gelatos were so rich and flavorful, when my date asked me to throw my salted caramel atop the affogato, I didn't hesitate. The espresso was just incredible. For four people, with everyone getting drinks and dessert, the total plus a tip was less than $500. If you have clients or a date you want to impress, go here. We were sat promptly for our 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 9:00. My wife had the lobster ravioli and I enjoyed the Red Snapper. Portions were appropriate and very tasty. Beware when you receive your bill - they do charge +4% if you choose to pay by credit card. Wow. Super disappointed to say we had a below average dining experience. This was our 2nd time dining here and we loved it the first time. We were a party of 4. Started with 3 appetizers: artichokes, mushrooms and caprese: all were unremarkable. The mozz for the caprese was shamefully bad. Dinner was bolognese, salmon, carbonara and pasta fagioli. Waiting for a friend to arrive at 9pm at GPS, we decided to make the best of it by dining outside our area and selected L'Incanto. Street parking was a bit of a hassle, but we finally found a place. Nice welcome when we entered. We opted to dine at one of the booths near the bar, wanting a more casual feel. One of the dishes, Imola Raviolo, just had too much truffle flavor for our taste - our fault. We enjoyed the rest of the meal. the back area was a bit brighter. Its a mom and pop place, so not going to be as polished in service and presentation as a corporate restaurant, but that isn't such a bad thing. read more

Love the location and ambiance. Pricey but that doesn't bother me too much. Bottomline: please don't get the Carbonara. Mine was burnt and what should have been a creamy sauce was broken and stringy. This after a build up from the server that it was fabulous and made in a traditional manner; without cream, which I like. I have made this dish myself and know what it should be like. Clearly the guanciale (pig cheek) was burnt instead of slowly toasted and fat melted gently. Then the sauce was over heated preventing the pasta water, cheese, egg from forming a silky smooth sauce. My husband and I visited the Greenville and Greer area in December of 2023. We were visiting from NJ for the first time. We wanted one special dinner out in each town. We were researching the area to possibly live one day. So, this review is from someone not from the area. Being from NJ, we love our Italian food. Upon entering and being seated at a table, the interior had such an elegant vibe. We both had the Bolognese as our meal, for dinner. It was a delicious meal with good cheese on top. For desert, I had Salted Caramel Gelato. The Gelato was out of this world. My taste buds melted. My husband had the tiramisu. It was also so good and not too heavy. We both enjoyed a glass of red wine. There is a fantastic and very large selection of wines and drinks, if that's your thing. If we ever go back to this area, we will be back. Ok, so I had the "Special" Pasta w/Sausage & mushroom. The sauce was delicious. My fault for not asking for Al Dente pasta, it was way overcooked. I ate at the bar and the bartender never asked me if I needed anything after serving me my meal... never came over to me once while I was eating. Made it a point to come over when my glass was low though. The restaurant did not bring nor offer bread... up north, where I'm from, that is a sacrilege! This is supposed to be a high end Italian restaurant!! I had a salad and (2) glasses of wine came to $86... way over priced for Greer or anywhere else for that matter. Again, the flavor of the sauce was delicious but that was it. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. There are several other spots in this wonderful little area that are much better alternatives, such as Select. read more

Definitely a great place. Great service, great food. We sat at the bar as we didn't have reservations, and bartender was exceptional. Always checked on us, never left a crumb behind, and took all silverware away, and gave us a new, clean set with dinner. Not many servers know to do this these days. The drinks were fresh made, not premixed. Pasta Bolognese was exceptional. Sea bass was very flaky, tender, lots of flavor. We moved from Brooklyn and Pittsburgh, and have been longing to find some good comparable food, and finally found it. Had The chocolate mousse for dessert, was extremely tasteful, heavy, but wasn't as smooth as I would have expected. Could almost taste the sugar granules. Overall though, would still order again. We arrived at 8 PM and were warmly welcomed without reservations. My granddaughters split the pasta. The salad was my entree. My daughter had the red snapper which had no side dish and my husband the veal which had potatoes as a side. It was $300 plus a 3 percent charge to use a debit card. Food was ok but pricier than I remember. Service was good. BUT... They charged me a non-cash fee of 3%... My bill was $214.00 (for two of us) I am not a fan of that at all. if you are hurting that bad that you need to charge that fee, (which I have a hard time believing), build it into your already high prices. From reading other reviews, apparently I'm not the only one frustrated paying that additional fee. Too many choices for good restaurants, this little fee will cost you WAY MORE than you are recouping in your credit card usage fees. This will definitely weigh heavy in my decision process the next time I'm looking for places to eat in Greer. read more

This may be the best dining experience I have had in the upstate of South Carolina. I was there for a family birthday with a party of 11. Not only was our server, Asia, friendly and well-versed with the menu and specials, she was efficient and 100% accurate with our orders. The food and drinks, from appetizers to dessert and coffee, were exquisite! My short ribs were scrumptious, the sea bass was mouthwatering, and all that was left of the porkchops were cleaned plates. Lovely, lovely fine dining. Love the ambiance!!! We are on a road trip from RI to SC with my senior parents. Asia was our server. She was delightful. She was super friendly and warm. My senior mom is a vegan and often gets disgruntled staff that is usually short and unkind with her. Asia was just the opposite and was very knowledge about the menu and how they could accommodate. Anything she wasn't sure of, she checked on for us, super sweet. She also said goodbye and held door for us when we left- love love her! My dad's bolognese was amazing! I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was super yummy. It Had a bit more brown butter than needed kind of drenched in it and a dash of salt could have gone a long way but I'd order it again, super yum. My mom wanted to eat light and had a side dish of veg that was perfect for her. Kind of odd to have to order bread and pay $6 at an Italian restaurant- having said that it was SUPER GOOD! My Northern Italian dad was very pleased with the bread. It's not super common to see an upcharge for credit cards at restaurants, but I do understand it. Cool they give discount for cash payments, we wanted to leave a great tip so we didn't ask about discount. This has been one of my favorites restaurant so far down in the Carolina's. The setting is simple and elegant, the bar is the splash and pizzazz with gorgeous tin ceilings. The wait staff is very polite , our waiter Brandon was right on top of everything always asking if we where happy with what was in front of us or answering our questions about menu choices. I order the meatball special app along with the shrimp entree that was out of this world. The meatball app was beef and pork mixed together, in a red sauce, which had a specific name , which I can't remember right now, next came my shrimp entree which consisted of spinach, butterfly shrimp lightly battered , with mozzarella and melon placed on top with a wine and lemon reduction. Lastly I had the chocolate mousse dessert that was placed between two pieces of chocolate Philo dough, It was rich and creamy all at once and was a great finish to this epic dinner. read more

Heard great things and finally had the chance to go this past Saturday. Super cozy interior and very friendly staff. My wife and I shared the Raviolo for an appetizer with a couple of very good cocktails. We then order the Osso Buco and the Pork Chop Toscana which were both delicious! For dessert we shared the an Apple tart with vanilla gelato and the bread pudding both were incredible...I am British and very fussy about my pudding! these were true home made desserts! 5 stars all around! read more
