The coffee was ok, but not too potent. The ambiance is relaxed. Mainly Polanco locals come here, no bad vibes. The customer service was ok. My husband and I were really looking forward to dining there and creating another special memory in a different country. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to what I had hoped. The food wasn't quite to my liking--I had the foie gras, Chamorro, and a small salmon tasting, and none of the dishes really stood out. The chamorro, in particular, was underwhelming. The location and ambiance didn't quite resonate with me either. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means, but it also wasn't as memorable as I had hoped.

Reservation is relatively easy to make compared to other good fine dining restaurants in the city. Without hesitation, I choose the 5 course tasting menu (~770 peso). Complimentary fried chips with Mexican dipping sauce (savory sauce made with non-spicy chili): crispy chips and savory aromatic sauce. Then comes the first dish: crudo of the day, avocado with umeboshi, yuzukosho and garlic oil. Fresh and sweet fish, creamy avocado sauce and a refreshing note from umeboshi and yuzukosho, and lastly ends with aromatic note of garlic. Well done! Second dish is squid alla carbnonara. Excellent dish! Again fresh and sweet squid, nicely cooked so that the meat is tender. I ordered the enchiladas and they were good, but nothing special. I felt they were a little plain, I finished them in about 5 minutes as it's just tortillas with chicken. They should come with a side of rice and beans or at least topped with lettuce and sour cream. I'm glad I tried this place because now i know what neighborhood I want to stay in on my next MX trip!
