Coming from LA where clubs rise and fall every six months like the changing of the seasons, you can't help but become a bit of a snob no matter where you go only because you have experienced so many fail. L'Arc is supposed to be THE club, trendy, elite, jet-set, but to me it doesn't give off that vibe on the interior. You might as well be in any club in LA, they are doing the same thing: letting hot girls in and keeping ALL guys out unless they have connections or they have bought a table before hand. Pros: What sells this club for me is that it is RIGHT next to the Arc de Triumph. Literally. Cons: No dance floor, difficult to get cabs late at night, no real point going unless someone in y our group has a table because otherwise there is no where to sit. Extremely bad experience. We booked a table and one by one the group of girls got split up as bouncers aggressively kicked them out of the club. No one was too drunk or doing anything wrong. One girl was dragged out of the club by her wrists and another was pushed over and left with bruises. This is assault and very dangerous leaving girls alone at night in the street. Another girl was spiked and an ambulance had to be called, and she spent the night in hospital. The people that work here are very rude (including the hostess in particular). Do not come here. Went here with my friends we were having a blast until a security guard randomly grabs my arm aggressively for no reason. I now have a bruise on my arm. I was very upset after then my friends and I decided to use the bathroom. We bought a table, paid 200$ each (8 people) and most of my friends got kicked out for no reason. Assuming because we are American and only spoke English, but do not buy a table here. On August 28th in Paris, I left my hotel in this dress on my way to a nightclub. I arrived at @larcparis with a female American friend and a male Parisian/African friend who attends this club frequently, intended on purchasing a table, and also knows almost everyone at the door. My female friend (who is also black) and I were told that what we were wearing did not meet @larcparis standards and that we needed to change if we wanted to get inside. (They later said it didn't matter if we changed or not, we still wouldn't be allowed in.) As we looked around, we saw many Caucasian skinny women wearing the same type of club attire as us that were able to get in fine, as well as some that looked raggedy as fuck (sneakers, casual clothing, etc.) and still no problems at the door for them. There are also many examples on their IG of other lighter skin and slimmer looking women inside of L'arc that are wearing "risqué / skimpy" typical outfits worn to clubs. (Swipe to see.) I am aware that French culture is a bit more conservative than America's but it is very clear we were denied entry into @larcparis simply based on the color of our skin and/or the shape of our bodies. What's even more disrespectful is that Thursday's at L'arc is the largest hip hop event in Paris. @morelifelarc How could they devote an entire night to black culture by playing OUR music but not allow black women in their club? Completely ridiculous and speaks volume to how cultural appropriation works. On top of that, the bouncers are black men being used as pawns to enforce these racist ideals. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Avoid this club at all costs. The manager Alex arranged for a table. He kept coming up and pouring the tequila that was around 2,000-3,000 a bottle for him and the servers. I was shocked and angered by this. My friend starting acting really weird and stumbling around even though he had t much to drink and we realized that the servers must of put a roofie in his drink as they were the only ones pouring our drinks..my friend was so sick and he's a person who can handle his alcohol. Our bill was 18,000 which is so outrageous- they were emptying the bottles and kept bringing new ones even though we insisted we didn't want. This club is a bunch of scammers. Do love it there for dinner, Amazing drink and food, awesome service, and fantastic ambience. As for the night club, which is located downstairs, just like every popular nightclub in the US, it's overly beautiful crowded, but what I like about it is that you get your drinks fast; all of the bartenders are quick on your orders and you never have to wait for more than 5 minutes, to get them to notice you like some of the clubs any where in the US or Paris. read more

I have to second Annabelle W's review. These guys are horrible. My boyfriend and I walked past it on a Friday night (last Friday, to be exact) and saw folks going in, no line. We're in our mid-to-late 30s, so we were relieved to see mixed ages being let in. We made a note of the dress code, and decided to return the next night,. That Saturday, before we went to dinner, I stopped at our hotel conceirge to ask them if it was difficult to get in and whether we needed a reservation. He said no, just queue up. I would have made a reservation on the spot if I had known it was needed. Needless to say, we went at around 12 (early by Paris club standards - absolutely no line at all) dressed to the nines and ready to spend some money. We (very politely) went right up to the door and asked if we could come in for a drink, but the doorman said, "no entry. It's a private club." So we stepped aside (for the non-existent line) and called our hotel conceirge who then called the club. A young lady holding a phone stepped out of the door and saw us (we were still on the phone and the ONLY people trying to get in). She nodded and went back into the vestibule. The doorman went in after her and then came back out. Thinking things were cleared up, we approached him again. He said, "It's too late to make reservations. You can't come in." We noted that the young woman had seen us and was on the phone with our conceirge and the doorman said, "yes, she asked me if we were taking reservations and I said it's too late." TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE. The doorman just refused to let us in and I hate to say it, but it had to be because we were American. There really could not have been another reason. We had lots of good experiences in Paris, but this outright and blatant discrimination ruined our whole trip. It was so humiliating. We made sure to tell our concierge about the incident when we returned to the hotel, and he was baffled as well. This place is a fun starting point to your evening. It can be tricky getting past the door, because they seemed to inflate the wait queue, but that's to be expected. Dress to impress, and be polite at the door and you shouldn't have any trouble getting in. I live in New York and I'm currently enjoying a holiday in Paris. Came here on a recommendation from a friend who lives in the city. To my disappointment this is an incredibly racist establishment that denied me entry. I was told that entry wasn't allowed their was a reservation they then proceed to allow three white women and two white guys in without one. Of course I came dressed appropriately but the bouncers wouldn't even speak with me to discuss the situation. The other patrons were allowed entrance without paying for bottle service or any tab limit despite being dressed inappropriately for the venue. The other guests were just as shocked as I was that I wasn't allowed entry. I've had a wonderful time at every other venue I've visited during my multiple trips to the city so this was surely a disappointment and I won't be returning. read more
