    free drinks at promoter table
    Zoe M.

A typical parisian nightclub. I don't know if I can say anything about the service; I was let in by a promoter and asked to sit at a private table. The drinks were free which is obviously a bonus. Most of the people were young (early 20s) and french or italian. Not many english speakers. If you are a girl- you must wear heels and black attire is standard. Good vibe for younger people wanting to dance! Not necessarily a place for working professionals

    The dress I wore
    Jada J.

On August 28th in Paris, I left my hotel in this dress on my way to a nightclub. I arrived at @larcparis with a female American friend and a male Parisian/African friend who attends this club frequently, intended on purchasing a table, and also knows almost everyone at the door. My female friend (who is also black) and I were told that what we were wearing did not meet @larcparis standards and that we needed to change if we wanted to get inside. (They later said it didn't matter if we changed or not, we still wouldn't be allowed in.) As we looked around, we saw many Caucasian skinny women wearing the same type of club attire as us that were able to get in fine, as well as some that looked raggedy as fuck (sneakers, casual clothing, etc.) and still no problems at the door for them. There are also many examples on their IG of other lighter skin and slimmer looking women inside of L'arc that are wearing "risqué / skimpy" typical outfits worn to clubs. (Swipe to see.) I am aware that French culture is a bit more conservative than America's but it is very clear we were denied entry into @larcparis simply based on the color of our skin and/or the shape of our bodies. What's even more disrespectful is that Thursday's at L'arc is the largest hip hop event in Paris. @morelifelarc How could they devote an entire night to black culture by playing OUR music but not allow black women in their club? Completely ridiculous and speaks volume to how cultural appropriation works. On top of that, the bouncers are black men being used as pawns to enforce these racist ideals. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Avoid avoid avoid.

If you are skinny, white and have money you should be fine. This club is blatantly racist and discriminates on everyone who does not look like a high end model or a sugar daddy. This club was such a joke. I arrived with a friend ( looking good af, might I add) and we were told that we had to be on their "guest list" and that is was already full to capacity. This would have been believable if it wasn't only 12am, but at 12am your already full to capacity?? I think not. We then met a group of beautiful Parisian girls who couldn't get into the club because they had a curvy friend in the group. ( she wasn't even fat, she was like fashion nova thick). The men at the door refused to let her in and every other black person who got on the line. I'm not surprised because Paris is a very racist and rude place. Won't be going back there and to be honest Even if they let me in I wouldn't spend a penny of my hard earned money investing in white clubs who turn their nose up at black and curvy people.

L'Arc Paris restaurant-bar-club instead of the former Etoile in the 16th District, has taken full advantage of its assets.

Great atmosphere, bad deejay. Bad song choices. Makes or breaks a club. I will come back because I will try the next deejay. ‍‍‍‍‍‍

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

I highly recommend that here if you are familiar with your companions. Call your banker first as $30 per drink is average! But the girl I raised bought it so whatever? Wish I photographed that menu!! Service is bright with ample and thoughtful olive and nuts assortments and water backs for all without asking. For a splurge I could not urge enough of you to try!! Seeing this hotel property alone is worth it right down to the gilded bathrooms excellently attended. We did not try the food as they were just about to convert to first dinner service and we had Xmas Eve dinner for the family booked at a different Michelin star restaurant later. I'll bet the food is the shizzle though!!!

When we arrived the place was dead quiet -- like "did we accidentally come during a private apocalypse?" quiet. But as the evening went on, more people slowly wandered in and the atmosphere picked up. The drinks were fantastic: huge, strong, colorful, and dangerously fun. Exactly what you want from a tiki bar. The bartenders were incredibly sweet too. They answered all our questions, made recommendations based on what we actually like, and clearly knew their menu well. Always appreciate bartenders who don't just point randomly and say "this one." The decor and vibe were awesome -- dark, tropical, quirky, and full-on escapism. Felt like stepping into a hidden island bar in the middle of Paris. Only thing that threw us a little? The music. At several points it sounded less "tropical tiki escape" and more "waiting 45 minutes for Space Mountain at Disney World." Not bad exactly... just unexpectedly wholesome for drinks strong enough to make you text your high school friends at midnight. Overall though, we absolutely loved it and would 100% go back. Great drinks, great staff, fun atmosphere -- and honestly the weird Disney-adjacent soundtrack somehow became part of the charm.
