I found this place by doing a Google search because when I used Yelp looking for roofing supplies…read morenothing came up in San Bernardino. I had tried going to Home Depot to look for a clay or terra cotta tile to replace ONE tile my husband and I broke trimming trees. They only had shingles there. I went to Structural Materials Inc hoping to find that ONE tile I needed. When I walked into their office I explained to the very nice lady my situation. She asked if I had a sample and I said no just pictures. She took me to their "boneyard" and told me I was free to look through there and if I found what I needed I could just have it. Yay!! Luckily I did find the ONE I needed. I easily replaced it today and now my roof is protected from the dreaded El Niño!! Just a hint the driveway to get to them is not directly on Waterman. It is off the side street next to them.

Our water heater pilot went out, a few days before Christmas. In my quest to fix the problem John provided me with a couple different parts to try, one new and one from a salvaged water heater, even though they didn't have the exact parts I was looking for. Fortunately after some trial & error, I eventually ended up fixing the problem. When I came back to return one of the unused parts, and to pay for the part I had cannibalized he declined to charge me anything. I know where my first stop will be next time I have a plumbing problem to fix.

Chances are they may be familiar with the odd and irregularly found item you are looking for. This Hirsh Pipe Supply location is unique, which was, in a sort of way formerly KD Sales Wholesale Plumbing Supplies - and located in a little blue painted house not more than a half mile west on Redlands Ave. Hirsh Pipe Supply came out to Loma Linda and basically bought out KD Sales. The little blue house still stands but is no longer blue and appears to be a residential home now. Anyways, years of plumbing experience is found here through the workers. Some of them are former workers from KD Sales. I would know because I used to work at KD Sales and in the presence of KD himself, Mr. Kieth Davis. The atmosphere at the now Hirsh Pipe Supply is very much similar to how things operated (between the sales clerk and customer) as it did within the little blue house and even back then, KD Sales was known for the same thing. The excellent customer service, expertise, and knowledge, availability of parts, supplies, and tools - including the ability to source all kinds of plumbing parts. The service here is always friendly, professional, and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask for a little advice on a project if you happen to need it. The feedback may be just what you need. Ernie is quite experienced as he has been in the Plumbing industry for years. I go here for tools and parts as my first place to go for a big project. The nice thing is that you can buy individually. Make sure to take a sample tile to match the replacement. I drove to the San Bernardino location and the gentleman at counter one helped me. Another gentleman took me in his golf cart across the large lot to a pallet of tiles which matched my sample. I also bought some roofing nails from them. They carry all supplies related to roofing.
