They have an unbelievable selection for Milwaukee and Dewalt tools. I love it that they are all mounted to the wall and you can see the thing before you purchase it. They also have pretty much every bundle offer that Milwaukee offers and what I mean by that is that currently they are running a special where you can get a Milwaukee lock and load tool where you can switch out attachments and the bundle comes with an extra attachment and a battery which I've not seen offered at other big box stores. Very knowledgeable staff and high quality items: toys, tools, softener salt, this is an Amish owned business and like going back 40 years in time to an old hardware store, but with everything you would also find at a new store. Yes thing's here are a little more expensive, unfortunately so is gasoline. The staff here is always been friendly and helpful, they don't always have exactly what I need but in a lot of cases they have enough product to do a work around and they are local. I like to support the local community that is essentially supporting me. They do have a large variety of goods in their store, I've never purchased their garden plants but they always look much better than the box stores.

Super frustrated with Menards right now! After witnessing how they treated my father after he has…read morespent upwards of $10K with them over the last 10 months. He is currently in the home stretch of a complete kitchen remodel and has been working on installing new granite countertops. When he picked up the countertops they were all nicely stacked an strapped to a sturdy custom shipping pallet. At that time he also received a paper asking that he recycle the pallet. The paper states to "Return to any Menards location for a $50 merchandise credit check". And also "Simply present this flyer to the cashier at the service desk to start the return process". One would naturally think the process would be easy with the markings on the pallet and the statement on the paper given. Not so! 40 mile round trip, pallet in truck and return paper in hand and Menards refused to honor the paper and give my father the $50 merchandise credit. Even after speaking with the manager they refused to honor the return receipt. If this is how Menards plans on treating their loyal customers unfortunately it may be time to rethink giving them our business. At this point it's not even about the $50 but their treatment of their senior customers and the fact they think they can take advantage of them.

This is a typical True Value home center with a good selection of hardware and home improvement…read morerelated items. There is also a garden center attached and they sell lumber as well. The prices are higher than Lowe's or Home Depot but again (from me); supporting local business is important and something I am willing to spend a bit more for. It is awfully convenient to have this size of store in little ole Pendleton...smaller than a big box but large enough to carry whatever your home improvement needs are. Today I was costing fertilizer and the price was just slightly higher than Home Depot. Good enough for me. There isn't a ton of staff there but the place is never too busy either.
