Fast forward to today, I reached out because some guy came to service our pool (only knew because I'm home with a sick kid). The owner called me and said we'd been receiving service the whole time (news to us) and he'd like to start over. Then he made it clear he only meets clients before 3 pm through the week, and that it seemed like this wouldn't work. With all of the issues created by lack of communication on the businesses part, all we wanted was to meet face to face for a few minutes to set things up right. At that point, it was clear he didn't want our business. I'm shocked by all of this because the company gets great reviews, but they definitely aren't hurting for clients and their customer service is lackluster at best. We felt like just a number on a page from day 1. Definitely don't recommend this company. It's expensive compared to others and not worth the money based on what we experienced. We ended up having to do all kinds of service and troubleshooting in our own because the tech wasn't doing their job apparently anyways.

First off, I was completely ignorant with pool building & Ricketts was my second call after my first inquiry brought an arrogant, non-communicative jerk, who kept me waiting for weeks. I called Ricketts & immediately got a response & appt to look at my property. Sam came & he was very kind & extremely thorough, looking at everything involved for building the pool - area, rock formation, area for pool equipment, electrical box & addressing all my concerns & questions. I received my first pool plan in less than a week! I didn't quite understand it, so Sam took the time to come again to my home (YLP) and answer my questions as well as draw with paint my pool outline!!! The contract was easy to read & thorough so we signed. Shortly thereafter Jason came to start the process. Jason was knowledgeable, smart & funny. The entire process, from digging the hole, rebar & gunnite, concrete, equipment, tile, fencing & water (we paid for our water from an outside source as to not take so much from the YLP wells) was perfectly orchestrated, communicated to us & seamlessly performed. The pool turned out better than I'd imagined, fitting into our rugged landscape perfectly. Everything they did was awesome. A shoutout to Sam, Jason, Lupe & Wyatt for making this such a pleasant experience for us. All the crews brought in were nice, hardworking fellows. We were given names of companies to give us pool service, which was helpful because we had no idea! Sam & Jason helped us with all the county & HOA paperwork, too. A Godsend. They were very informative, gave me unbiased & truthful information so that I could decide what was the best for our use! The installation was then done on Wednesday, just 2 days after my call & in these days, that's what I call timely. Mario met my husband, always calling before hand, installed the pump, made sure the filter and everything else was working, added chemicals that were needed & our pool is nice & clean again! I called the pool service and they we're ridiculously unprofessional. He claims he knew about my pump being broken but forgot to tell me. Claiming I need to outsource parts and install myself even though they say they do claim to do repairs. Even after telling them it turned green they didn't even want to come look at the pool. They definitely were giving me the run around. This pool service is trash. I already found an older man that runs a pool service to take their place and its like night and day.
