This camp ground seems to be very popular and was nearly filled - it appears the larger rigs are in the rear of this campground and longer term guess upfront. Like a lot of KOA's the site are fairly close together and the roads are narrow, maneuvering our 40' Class A Bus plus the toad through the campground was like threading a needle and it seems I collected a few pine needles and vines getting to our site. I don't remember the speed limit but I kept it around 5 mph and even then I had to show down to miss some bad pavement and camper vehicles but got through it. Our site was #123 it was long enough to accommodate our rig and tow vehicle but with little room to spare. The full hook ups were in good shape, the sewer hose fittings were in good repair, the 50 amp receptacle was well protected from any weather and the breakers were open when we arrived and the water pressure was adequate. The check-in lane is on a steep incline so make sure to set your brake there is not a lot of room to park or maneuver in front of the office and a gate code is required to enter the park. You'll exit onto a service road with a blind hill to the left while exiting so a co-pilot is almost a must due to the angle and the traffic - it worked okay for an overnight stay but I'll probably choose one of the many parks in the immediate area if I were staying longer...

Decent size campground only overnighted but staff super nice. Site decently sized. We were in a…read morepull through and had plenty of room to stay hooked up. They do have a catch and release lake as well. #rvnewadventures

5 hours ago New My…read morehusband and I visited this campground over the weekend and what a delight! If you enjoy tent, RV or cabin camping on a farm, this is the place to be. Clean, hot showers , washer/dryers on site, hiking trails and so many animals to enjoy. Come out and visit Lisa, James and Devin for an unforgettable weekend. You can bring your own RV or rent a place to stay on site. Come see what Mauk, GA and surrounding area has to offer.

We couldn't find the site at first. When we drove through they had very cute mini house-teepee like buildings for glamoing but we had just reserved a tent site. Someone drove by on a golf cart and was able to take us back to the site. It was right there on the right, you just have to drive through the grass right across from the outhouse, which I wouldn't have known haha and there weren't many signs but the hosts were very nice! The site was so cute it was on grass and there were trees kind of in a semi-circle around it. Perfect for privacy but also not deep in the woods or anything. We parked right there and had a fire pit as well as a covered platform for the tent (great if it were to have rained, and to keep the tent off the ground). We also had a picnic table. I really loved this site it was definitely one of my favorites and far exceeded my expectations. We were just looking for somewhere to camp after going to Providence Canyon, but this place was so nice I would drive all the way back just to go here. The price was very cheap and the outhouse was also really nice actually with showers and everything! There were animals in the field behind us which was cute and there was the option to meet them as well. We didn't take that but I think it's a cool thing you could do! 10/10 recommend!!

Not usable for kayak launching. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked, and fairly large. We did not use the showers so no comment. Site was very clean when we arrived. No site was ever empty; people came and went as if schedule had been made. We will be back.

The park offers a boat ramp, paddle boats and picnic areas. There is not a playground. There are lots of green spaces and 2 picnic pavilions. Motorized boats over 25HP are not allowed on the lake so the water remains fairly calm. We plan on kayaking there this year since it isn't far from our cabin. I'm giving this campground 5 stars even though they don't have full hookups. Every site was level, large, private and had a view of or was on the lake. It was quiet and beautiful. There are 30 campsites in all. We were on site #18. Our site was very nice and right on the lake. We had a fire ring, a picnic table and a grill. Campsite #28 was by far the nicest campsite sitting all alone on a peninsula. We will shoot for that one in the future! We camped here 2 nights in a 30' Class A. The park is also not far from the Whistle Stop Cafe where they filmed Fried Green Tomatoes (which they sell and they are delicious!) Also the Jarrell Plantation house is nearby and an interesting day trip. The park is also only about 15 minutes from Macon with lots of shopping, entertainment and restaurants. We will definitely visit here again in the future!

I decided to go anyways since I was very tired. Upon arrival called the number at the gate and had no answer, drove in but ended up in a Mobil home area of the place. ( John ) that works there called me back and drove out to where we were at then guided us to our camp ground for the night. He was very attentive and polite, especially for being SO late in the evening... The bath house was a remodel/converted trailer with laundry room included. It was clean and water was hot, so I could not ask for more.!! Especially with such low rates. The place can use a lil TLC but it's not horrific, I've seen worst. My family and I felt safe and it was quite. If I'd come back into the area and needed to rest I would not mind stopping in again and saying hello and staying for the evening. Water pressure was good, dump connection was missing the cap. All in all, not a bad place Thank you for allowing me to stay for the night, Leo

I'd have literally been scared for my life if we'd spent a night!
