My bride booked it because it looked a little quirky online. I approached the whole affair with some caution. Lately, a few Marriott's hotels have developed the unfortunate habit of looking better on the internet than they do when you pull into the parking lot. I feared this might be another one of those adventures. I was wrong. The theme was Georgia peaches, and they carried that peach wagon all the way across the finish line. From the fresh peaches waiting when we arrived to the peach sangria offered at check-in, they never missed a note. It wasn't gimmicky. It was thoughtful. The place was spotless. The corridors were clean, the elevator corners were free of the dust bunnies that usually reveal a hotel's true character, and the room was cool, comfortable, and as clean as a grandmother's living room before company arrives. The peach-scented toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch, though they nearly had to compete with the professionalism of the staff. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there--something that cannot be manufactured by a corporate training video. And then there was happy hour. My favorite hour. The rooftop bar was excellent, offering good drinks, good views, and a fine place to sit for a spell and watch the day wind down. When we left, I found myself doing something I don't often do with hotels these days: planning a return trip. I'd most definitely stay here again. Sometimes a place promises an experience. This one delivered it, peach by peach.

What really set this experience apart, though, was the people. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. Hevert, the night manager, along with the security team, went above and beyond--sharing insights about the city and the rich history behind the building. That level of engagement makes a difference. We also had brunch at Loom, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, and Lucas at the bar crafted cocktails like a true professional--balanced, intentional, and memorable. Our server, Jay, was equally impressive. His demeanor, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made the experience even better. He's the kind of person you remember after you leave.

Check in was easy and they utilize the digital key feature on the app. Breakfast is 15.95 and I did not find it worth the price. However, the coffee station was free. The beds were comfortable and we felt right at home. Sadly, the next morning my son found a cockroach in the shower which was disappointing. This tainted my view of the facility. I understand it's hot, summer rain can drive them "out" but I just don't want them in my hotel room. We were actually shocked to find it based on how great everything else was.

On the plus side, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Rooms have been clean, and the beds comfortable. I appreciated that the A/C worked well, and the common areas like the restaurant were clean and up-to-date. Breakfast was fine -- they offer both a buffet and cooked-to-order options. It wasn't extraordinary, but it was good and did the job. I didn't use the pool, but it looked well-kept. My main complaint is with the bathrooms. On my last stay, it was clear that there was mold that had been painted over. I could actually smell the paint and see the mold starting to come through again. On top of that, the bathroom fan didn't work, which only makes the problem worse. While housekeeping does a good job with day-to-day cleanliness, the bathrooms really need a full renovation instead of temporary cover-ups. If those issues were addressed, this would be a solid and reliable hotel stay. Until then, I'd say it's "okay" but not up to the standard I expect from Hilton.

I was a bit bummed. Room was nice, but did smell intermittently, which I believe came from the construction going on nearby/outside. Now for the pluses. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. Concierge lounge was up and running. Loved the regular sized bottles of water. Staff there did a great job--cleaned tables and wiped them down. Location was convenient to a variety of places to eat near by. In general, I try to stay at places that don't charge for parking. You are already paying to stay there, so glad there was not any additional parking costs. Nice sized lot so it was awesome I didn't have to drive around and around looking for a spot to park. Did I say the staff was super nice? Well I am saying it again since it was refreshing to have folks who really seemed to do what they could to ensure you had a nice stay.. Room was clean. Towels were my favorite absorbent ones. Water pressure and temperature were on target. Nice long counter in the bathroom. Larger fridge in the room. Bed and sheets were comfy and inviting. Lots of outlets for charging your devices. Definitely more pluses than challenges!

The concierge staff (face to face) and restaurant staff were fantastic ... very accommodating and caring ... rendered services with a smile! Here we go! Well, once we were checked in and exited the elevator on our floor a stinky stuffy odor hit us immediately. It continued to fill our noses all the way down the hallway to our room door. Once in the room it was the same but somewhat concentrated (odor). I believe the odor was in the carpet (needed shampooing badly). There were also stains and wear showing in the carpet throughout the hotel. When we initially arrived we had to immediately get ready to attend a function. We hurried off after changing for our event. When we returned later that evening we called over and over to the concierge's number to ask about breakfast (no answer....never ever got anyone). Hubby and I gave up and got ready to turn in. When we turned our bed back it appeared to have already been slept in (badly loose and wrinkled sheets impacted in the wear pattern of the mattress's grooves). We called again, again no answer. We were so tired that we slept atop the bed. Later that night I got up to use the bathroom. When I turned the light on a roach ran across the bathroom floor (ughhh). Needless to say that we were so disappointed. This is a Marriott after all!!! We didn't expect this here. We're still In disbelief. I'll end my review on positive note. We found the breakfast staff to be accommodating and attentive. Our server was Ashley. She was reallly good ... a bright light during our stay. Another observation was a chef who we saw constantly monitoring the chafing pans and replacing pastries as needed. He was on the ball. Thank you chef Shawn! The breakfast menu is not vast but what is served there is very good (eggs, meats, breads, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, drinks and more). Lastly, we were surprised that this Marriott did not have an EV charging station. Verrry surprised. What we received here I'd expect from budget hotels. Very disappointed. Recommendation: look into other credible hotels around for the rate this hotel charges. The saving grace here for us is the staff.

We are beyond frustrated with how we were treated regarding our stay and cancellation. On Tuesday…read moreevening, May 5th, we went directly to the front desk IN PERSON to cancel the final night of our reservation for May 7th. We spoke with Megan, who told us the cancellation had been "released on their end" and specifically instructed us to contact Hotels.com for the refund because the hotel had already handled their side. Now Hotels.com is claiming the hotel NEVER canceled the reservation, and when we called the hotel back, we were told there are "no notes in the system" and apparently no record of the conversation at all. Trying to resolve this with Hotels.com and the hotel has been a nightmare. Multiple calls, being transferred around, language barriers making communication extremely difficult, endless "so sorry for bad experience" responses, yet absolutely NO actual help or accountability from either side. The hotel says it wasn't canceled, Hotels.com says the hotel never notified them, and meanwhile the customer gets stuck paying for a room they canceled TWO DAYS EARLY in person. Beyond the cancellation issue, the stay itself was not pleasant. The beds were hard as a rock and incredibly uncomfortable. The bathroom was so tiny you could practically touch the door while sitting on the toilet. You had to walk to another building entirely just to get breakfast. To top it off, the toilet clogged during our stay and nobody could even bring a plunger until the next morning. Overall this was an extremely frustrating experience from start to finish, with poor communication, poor customer service, and zero accountability. We absolutely would not stay here again and would strongly recommend others think twice before booking here, especially through Hotels.com.
