Nice hotel and I've stayed here several times but this last time was not the best. I should of requested another room once I checked in after finding a used rubber glove on the floor near the restroom but since I would be out of the room more then in I made do with the room. However, I had the most flying roaches ever. Made me nervous to go to sleep, ugh. The shower was clogged with so much hair that mildew was all under the water drain. The bedside light didn't have a lightbulb, there was not light under the microwave, nor was there a lamp light in the room at the desk. The rooms are nice size rooms with a sofa in them and a kitchenette to cook or Store your food in the refrigerator. Overall my rooms meet all my accommodations at the location I just got a "lemon" this time.

This is the "public" patio which Marriott claims on their site to be smoke free. But they allow smoking which I don't understand at all.

My rating would be 5 stars but I can only enjoy my own room because they allow filthy smokers to stink up the public areas!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick night away to see a basketball game at Mercer. We chose it due to accessibility to the freeway and free breakfast. When we entered to check in, the front desk associate gave us a warm greeting and was very friendly. ALL of the front desk staff was super friendly and very nice. We weren't able to get a room right away, but that wasn't a problem for us. We only had to wait about 30 minutes for a room, so we did an errand in town while we waited. There is an outdoor pool, as well as a fire pit and grilling area for guests to use. You can borrow grilling tools and board games from the front desk. Our room was very clean and neat. Our extra towel request took a little extra time than what we've had at other hotels because they had to fold our towels fresh from the dryer (oh no- ;) we had to get warm, fluffy towels to be delivered). I was really impressed by the breakfast buffet. They have a little t of options and the staff works hard to keep it all stocked and the area clean. We plan to be back the next time we stay in Macon!

What really set this experience apart, though, was the people. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. Hevert, the night manager, along with the security team, went above and beyond--sharing insights about the city and the rich history behind the building. That level of engagement makes a difference. We also had brunch at Loom, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, and Lucas at the bar crafted cocktails like a true professional--balanced, intentional, and memorable. Our server, Jay, was equally impressive. His demeanor, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made the experience even better. He's the kind of person you remember after you leave.

Now the actual lot is not fenced or gated, and in the area was quite sketchy. The hotel itself is modified well, the onsite restaurants are chic and the hotel is in a great walking distance to restaurants. The hotel is dog friendly with a $150 fee, which is pretty steep considering there is no actual designated dog area or amenities for them. Not to mention the hotel cost on a random Wednesday night for a double queen was around $300. Most of the restaurants and shops closed around 5 pm. There was no access to vending machines or snacks within a close distance. If you wanted anything it would have to be purchased through the upstairs bar. I will say the staff were welcoming and polite, but upon checking in we were given a room key that already had guests in the room. My son was the first to open the door and I can't imagine if he had walked into a room of a person getting changed..... so big mistake there. The rooms are nicely updated, I love SMEG appliances but our mini fridge was loud when the motor kicked in. It's no 4 seasons but probably the classiest establishment in Macon, GA.

First the staff is very friendly and accommodating even if you're just stopping by as a Hilton member and taking a break in their beautifully renovated lobby. The lobby is brighter and more airy with very comfortable new furniture. Restaurant is top notch for a hotel restaurant. It serves only breakfast and dinner. Great value breakfast with made to order offering plus the buffet. The buffet is well worth the price. Their burger at dinner is the best plus they have good wings and fries. The burger is better than the other restaurants in the area with better fries too!

On the plus side, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Rooms have been clean, and the beds comfortable. I appreciated that the A/C worked well, and the common areas like the restaurant were clean and up-to-date. Breakfast was fine -- they offer both a buffet and cooked-to-order options. It wasn't extraordinary, but it was good and did the job. I didn't use the pool, but it looked well-kept. My main complaint is with the bathrooms. On my last stay, it was clear that there was mold that had been painted over. I could actually smell the paint and see the mold starting to come through again. On top of that, the bathroom fan didn't work, which only makes the problem worse. While housekeeping does a good job with day-to-day cleanliness, the bathrooms really need a full renovation instead of temporary cover-ups. If those issues were addressed, this would be a solid and reliable hotel stay. Until then, I'd say it's "okay" but not up to the standard I expect from Hilton.

I was a bit bummed. Room was nice, but did smell intermittently, which I believe came from the construction going on nearby/outside. Now for the pluses. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. Concierge lounge was up and running. Loved the regular sized bottles of water. Staff there did a great job--cleaned tables and wiped them down. Location was convenient to a variety of places to eat near by. In general, I try to stay at places that don't charge for parking. You are already paying to stay there, so glad there was not any additional parking costs. Nice sized lot so it was awesome I didn't have to drive around and around looking for a spot to park. Did I say the staff was super nice? Well I am saying it again since it was refreshing to have folks who really seemed to do what they could to ensure you had a nice stay.. Room was clean. Towels were my favorite absorbent ones. Water pressure and temperature were on target. Nice long counter in the bathroom. Larger fridge in the room. Bed and sheets were comfy and inviting. Lots of outlets for charging your devices. Definitely more pluses than challenges!

We are beyond frustrated with how we were treated regarding our stay and cancellation. On Tuesday…read moreevening, May 5th, we went directly to the front desk IN PERSON to cancel the final night of our reservation for May 7th. We spoke with Megan, who told us the cancellation had been "released on their end" and specifically instructed us to contact Hotels.com for the refund because the hotel had already handled their side. Now Hotels.com is claiming the hotel NEVER canceled the reservation, and when we called the hotel back, we were told there are "no notes in the system" and apparently no record of the conversation at all. Trying to resolve this with Hotels.com and the hotel has been a nightmare. Multiple calls, being transferred around, language barriers making communication extremely difficult, endless "so sorry for bad experience" responses, yet absolutely NO actual help or accountability from either side. The hotel says it wasn't canceled, Hotels.com says the hotel never notified them, and meanwhile the customer gets stuck paying for a room they canceled TWO DAYS EARLY in person. Beyond the cancellation issue, the stay itself was not pleasant. The beds were hard as a rock and incredibly uncomfortable. The bathroom was so tiny you could practically touch the door while sitting on the toilet. You had to walk to another building entirely just to get breakfast. To top it off, the toilet clogged during our stay and nobody could even bring a plunger until the next morning. Overall this was an extremely frustrating experience from start to finish, with poor communication, poor customer service, and zero accountability. We absolutely would not stay here again and would strongly recommend others think twice before booking here, especially through Hotels.com.
