Needs more around it to accommodate campers besides a filthy dollar general. It's a long drive to the nearest real grocery store.

Clean, hot showers , washer/dryers on site, hiking trails and so many animals to enjoy. Come out and visit Lisa, James and Devin for an unforgettable weekend. You can bring your own RV or rent a place to stay on site. Come see what Mauk, GA and surrounding area has to offer.

This place was so cute! We arrived and didn't have much cell service but they had already sent us…read morethe code to get into the gate (I liked the extra security of having a gated campsite). We couldn't find the site at first. When we drove through they had very cute mini house-teepee like buildings for glamoing but we had just reserved a tent site. Someone drove by on a golf cart and was able to take us back to the site. It was right there on the right, you just have to drive through the grass right across from the outhouse, which I wouldn't have known haha and there weren't many signs but the hosts were very nice! The site was so cute it was on grass and there were trees kind of in a semi-circle around it. Perfect for privacy but also not deep in the woods or anything. We parked right there and had a fire pit as well as a covered platform for the tent (great if it were to have rained, and to keep the tent off the ground). We also had a picnic table. I really loved this site it was definitely one of my favorites and far exceeded my expectations. We were just looking for somewhere to camp after going to Providence Canyon, but this place was so nice I would drive all the way back just to go here. The price was very cheap and the outhouse was also really nice actually with showers and everything! There were animals in the field behind us which was cute and there was the option to meet them as well. We didn't take that but I think it's a cool thing you could do! 10/10 recommend!!

We stayed at Indian Springs as we wanted to do a couple things in Jackson (about 10-15 mins away)…read more Pros: -the park is beautiful! -Several trails to hike and an old cemetary to explore. -The spring -Visitor Center is a beautiful old building. Staff was very pleasant. -Camp hosts keep the place so clean and neat -Bathrooms were amazing! 2 stalls (one regular and one handicap) and 2 showers (one regular and one handicap). These were spotless. -Really neat kids playground in the new section Cons: -The road in is windy and VERY narrow. -New section: The sites are spacious but man... Not sure who designed it. All the pull thrus had slopes. We actually disconnected the Jeep and backed into our pull thru site as we may have bottomed out trying to actually pull in forward. The spot where the patio is was level and long enough for our 40' bus, but the jeep was on a slant when parked either in front or behind the coach. We saw this in most of the sites. I think if we stayed in the new section again, we'd chose one of the back in sites. -Hook ups were near the front of the site. Good thing we have long hoses! We camped at Indian Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

Would have liked to taste the natural spring water from the pump but there was a line of jugs waiting to be filled although there is a sign stating only a couple gallons per person. This obviously isn't regulated and a couple women were filling numerous gallons and still filling up even when we were walking back to our car.

Bathrooms were clean, well stocked, and fairly large. We did not use the showers so no comment. Site was very clean when we arrived. No site was ever empty; people came and went as if schedule had been made. We will be back.

This is a great park for day use or for tent or RV camping. It is a beautiful setting with gorgeous…read moreviews of Lake Juliette from every campsite. The park offers a boat ramp, paddle boats and picnic areas. There is not a playground. There are lots of green spaces and 2 picnic pavilions. Motorized boats over 25HP are not allowed on the lake so the water remains fairly calm. We plan on kayaking there this year since it isn't far from our cabin. I'm giving this campground 5 stars even though they don't have full hookups. Every site was level, large, private and had a view of or was on the lake. It was quiet and beautiful. There are 30 campsites in all. We were on site #18. Our site was very nice and right on the lake. We had a fire ring, a picnic table and a grill. Campsite #28 was by far the nicest campsite sitting all alone on a peninsula. We will shoot for that one in the future! We camped here 2 nights in a 30' Class A. The park is also not far from the Whistle Stop Cafe where they filmed Fried Green Tomatoes (which they sell and they are delicious!) Also the Jarrell Plantation house is nearby and an interesting day trip. The park is also only about 15 minutes from Macon with lots of shopping, entertainment and restaurants. We will definitely visit here again in the future!
