The beds were very comfortable. The HVAC system worked well as did the Fridge. There is a microwave in the room as well as an iron & ironing board. Everything worked well in the room. The garbage cans were relatively large for a hotel (they are usually pretty small!). The towels were smaller and not luxurious but did the job. There was no maid service unless requested. We had no problem getting towels, etc. at front desk. The breakfast was standard - waffles, eggs, sausage patties, cereal, GF bagels, and sugar free syrup. Breakfast had my preference of Equal substitute sugar (many places do not have Equal). The coffee machine had both regular & Decaf coffee of various strengths. My Decaf was good. I spoke to one person who did not like the regular coffee. The only negative was that the cable system was limited & confusing to use. The guide channels did not respond to the controller. They had CNN, FoxNews, Food Network, CBS sports & several other packages probably off a satellite. There were very few, if any, local channels. I'd definitely stay here again!

I was graciously welcomed by Andrea at the front desk who made me feel like a member of the family when she recognized that I had already checked in on the app and had my key ready for me and let me know where my room was located and where the elevator was. She also let me know where breakfast would be in the morning and when it would be served and that coffee would also be available since I am probably going to be leaving early and missing Breakfast. We chatted a bit and I also asked for a dinner recommendation and she let me know that the Mexican restaurant next door is highly recommended and we receive a discount by showing our room key. Yeah! When I got to my room I was so surprised by the size and that there was two TVs and a couch. I guess I didn't look at the site when I booked it but it's beautiful. I sat down in the bed and it feels so plush. I can't wait to let you know how the rest of the stay goes, but had to write a out the check in experience because it was stellar to say the least that I have already favorited it in the app for Marriot and Yelp! I suppose the great men and women that have served our country their entire lives don't deserve a shower or the same treatment Holiday Inn Express would treat a regular guest. I tried at 10:30 PM when I checked in and again in the morning. Nothing. Asked the front desk and they said it went out a couple of days ago- but they told me nothing when I checked in. The mattresses have bags around them so probably have been battling a bed bug, but I saw none. Avoid this place at all costs. Not worth the $20 or so in savings.
