We had a great experience here during an overnight stay, the staff here is very friendly, and accommodating which made check-in a breeze before getting escorted to our site. This camp ground seems to be very popular and was nearly filled - it appears the larger rigs are in the rear of this campground and longer term guess upfront. Like a lot of KOA's the site are fairly close together and the roads are narrow, maneuvering our 40' Class A Bus plus the toad through the campground was like threading a needle and it seems I collected a few pine needles and vines getting to our site. I don't remember the speed limit but I kept it around 5 mph and even then I had to show down to miss some bad pavement and camper vehicles but got through it. Our site was #123 it was long enough to accommodate our rig and tow vehicle but with little room to spare. The full hook ups were in good shape, the sewer hose fittings were in good repair, the 50 amp receptacle was well protected from any weather and the breakers were open when we arrived and the water pressure was adequate. The check-in lane is on a steep incline so make sure to set your brake there is not a lot of room to park or maneuver in front of the office and a gate code is required to enter the park. You'll exit onto a service road with a blind hill to the left while exiting so a co-pilot is almost a must due to the angle and the traffic - it worked okay for an overnight stay but I'll probably choose one of the many parks in the immediate area if I were staying longer... read more

Welove this campground! The staff is very kind and accommodating. We stayed here last year and there were a lot of upgrades going on. This year there is huge change! They are doing a great job! Things are super clean, the mini golf is amazing, and the sites are nice and wooded. The bathrooms and showers are awesome!!! Five stars is not enough to rate this KOA it should be 10 plus My wife and I stayed here for only one night and I have to say that the folks there were the absolute best at what they do From the moment I arrived they checked me in promptly without a wait we were escorted to our site within minutes and minutes after that we had chocolate chip cookies delivered to our site At around 6:15 pm I walked to the office and I ordered pizza and a gallon of water which was also delivered to our site at 7:00pm Check out was a breeze My only regret was that we didn't stay longer because the campground was very clean and looking at the map there were many activities that we could have done but we were there for just the night We will be revisiting this KOA in the near future and we will be staying for at least a week I would highly recommend this campground read more

Let me just say the staff at this KOA is very nice. They welcome you with freshly baked cookies, and are very friendly. If your rig is small, this probably is an okay spot for you to navigate in and out of. Ours is 37 feet and while it was doable, it was very challenging because everything is tight. The spots are not even, are very rocky, and I imagine very muddy during inclement weather. This is a perfect spot if you're just traveling through and looking for a quick in/out overnight stop - but be forewarned, you hear traffic all night long because you're right beside the interstate. For over $40 a night, it was disappointing...our experience was okay, nothing terrible (and again, the staff was lovely), but we won't use this location again for the reasons mentioned. read more

We stayed at this KOA Journey 3/5/2021 to 3/6/2021 . Desk staff woman was exceptional. I changed my date from 5th to 6th . On the 5th I had to call to reverse back to the 5th night stay ! No problem she said and changed it without any problems! Made our stay less stressful to accommodate my changing plans at last minute. The lady escort to our cabin was very pleasant. I didn't catch her name unfortunately but also was exceptional and answered my questions I had asked when we arrived at the cabin ! The bathrooms with showers were within short walking distance and were very clean inside with no bugs either which was great ! I would say the only small downfall is it's so close to I-75 you can hear all the traffic noice! We kept the air conditioner on to drown out the noise! Air Conditioner worked great ! Wasn't so bad then ! We did get a goodnight sleep . We stayed in Kaybin 5 . The fan didn't work but light did ! Maintenance wasn't available since it was after 6 . Would we stay here again ?? Stayed the night at this camp ground in my 40' 5th wheel. Cute little campground, 50a hookup, water, and sewer. It wasn't crazy expensive for a night - about $53. I got a pull through spot which was worth it. I'd stay here again, but it's worth noting why I didn't give 5 stars. 1. The camper spot is very uneven. They need a little tractor with a grader blade to make these spots good. My front Jack's are all the way out and the bumper is about 1 ft from the ground and you can still see the nose is down from the inside. 2. The sewer drain opening is just big enough for a 4in pipe to go 1 inch into. You MUST put weight on top of the pipe or you'll have a blow out as the pipe will quickly withdraw itself inch putting poo everywhere. read more

We were kicked out! Read full story below: We knew we were in trouble as we drove through the grounds. For lack of a better word, this place was dumpy, & we were searching for the silver lining, but it did not come. Our "long term site" was bordering the Frontage Rd. of a hectic interstate, & so loud I couldn't even think. It was separated from the busy road by a mere 2-ft-tall guardrail. Unlevel site with potholes, & a neighbor with 4 vehicles allowed on their site. When I asked initially to change sites, the "escort" said "Nothing else. You can stay here, or get a refund." So rude! This site was no place for a child to live, so I went to negotiate in office. The noise & safety were a huge concern. They said they would switch us to a "better nightly rate site," so we agreed since my husband's job gives a lodging stipend. Our rate went from $530/mo. up to $1200/mo. This was great for them, as they more than doubled their earnings off of us for the next 1-3 months. Our new site was better, but by no means a great place for our child to live for an extended period. It had dilapidated campers everywhere, campers not held to any standard of care of their sites, unlevel site with drop-off, broken playground equipment wrapped in yellow caution tape, dirty/outdated restrooms, multiple (2-4) vehicles parked at every site, outdated "amenities," & safety was a clear issue. The "pond" was essentially a ditch with water & fountain. There was nearly a dog fight in the couple of hours we were there between residents. During setup, I received a phone call from the office that "unfortunately" they had decided they were going to charge us for both the monthly site AND the nightly site. It seemed very unkind, dishonest, & greedy! I went to sort things out. They told me they wanted to charge us $293 for all the days since we made a reservation on 8/25/20, even though they knew we would not be arriving & checking-in until 9/10/20... a "holding fee." All that on top of the $1200 we were about to pay for the next month. We said no, & instead committed to 2 nights, & to unhappily pay the difference. This should have totaled $380. Next thing I know, the manager hands me a receipt for $829! THE LAST STRAW! She now wanted me to pay for all "the nights held" at the nightly rate instead. I protested! If anything, I should pay $530 for a month (not even stayed), plus 2 nights at $43.50/night rate, but even that was highway robbery! If they wanted to charge us for "holding a spot," then fine, charge us the $293 plus 2 additional nights = $380, which was what we agreed to initially, until she began changing her tune. At that point in the heated conversation, the manager said she was terminating our stay, but would still be charging us $530 (for nothing). We were there for a total of 2.25 hrs, & never got fully set up at either of the sites. She kicked us out with TODDLER in tow at 8:30 PM. HEARTLESS! In all honesty, this place is a "glorified trailer park," & so dumpy. They have a poor moral compass & business practices as well. Will be reporting to BBB. Please, don't stay here! read more

The pizza was ok but was worth every penny for the fact it was delivered right to our cabin especially after driving 18 hours to get down to Georgia. . The delicious cookies given to us as a welcome gesture hit the spot after pizza and was truly thoughtful. We stayed a week. We stayed in our Cabin. The Cabin was cozy but in need of better doors . Our door was broken and someone before our stay so kindly put a wonderful hole in . The walkway to our cabin was filled with slippery red clay and goose droppings . Bathrooms were not to bad . They definitely were cleaned a few times a day . But even with them being cleaned often they were not always on top of detail . One of the bathrooms had a syringe on the floor . They can definitely use an updating and some new ones need to be built. Showers were ok . Water could be hotter and new faucets would be better so you know which is hot or cold . Men's room toilets were clogged , locks to showers were broken. New soda machines would be good to have . Overall our stay was good . Can't be the price . This place has a lot of potential. It does have beautiful spots . I loved sitting in the evening on the porch watching the ducks and frogs and listening to the birds . read more

My family and I looked forward to our stay at this KOA given our experience at other KOAs had been great. However, this stay was FAR FROM ENJOYABLE . To start, the two older male employees made my teenage daughters feel very uncomfortable. Multiple times both daughters, myself and husband saw them watching the girls at the pool from outside the rales. The pool steps were slippery with mildew. The area around the pool and the siding of the pool has tons of cracks and is not smooth, very hazardous. Next, the bathroom near the pool, where the employees smoke, made it hard to breathe to walk pass. We walked into the bathroom and walked right out. It was absolutely disgusting. Given the pool was not safe to use, my daughters decided to try out the cable and Wi-Fi, as advertised on their site. Well, I was told the cable was disconnected, and the Wi-Fi "out at the moment." There were two "power outages" in our 3 day stay, which in turn meant our AC was off for hours at a time in the 98-100 degree weather. This was brought to the front office attention and I was told pretty much deal with it for now. At night we would smell the worse smells ( marijuana), and witness drugs/ alcohol being used by two of the employees. As aforementioned, these concerns were brought to the front office staff/ management, and nothing was addressed nor apologizes were given. Honestly, several of the employees live onsite and protect each other when it comes to discussing/correcting the issues. You get a Cult like vibe from this group of people that work here. The manager lives in a double-wide in this camp ground. It is very unkept and tons of broken down/ old equipment fills up her yard and all around it. It is a hazardous place. I would be concern for kids to ride bikes, etc in here given the mess around her place; as well as, The playground is nonfunctional. Overall, the only decent thing this park has or offers is the pizza. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this poorly managed and unkept campground. So, with us having a week reservation we decided after three days to end our stay early and travel 12 miles north to the KOA in Griffin; This was the best decision we made. It was as we had expected from a KOA park- great experience. We enjoyed our days in the Griffin KOA. read more

The campground is near I75, but with air conditioning, you do not hear it. We have stayed twice, once where in the back and once in the front. Prefer the middle. We always stop here on our way to SC for an over night stay. Our last visit (last week) will be our last! We had drove 11 hours and got to the campground around 12-12:30 pm, for the first time ever at a KOA we were told we couldn't check in for another hour. Mind you we have a 43 ft long fifth wheel that is not easy to move around like everyone thinks! We were told to come back in an hour! There were several open spots when we first got there and check out is at 11(some spots didn't even have usable fire rings so they didn't have to do anything to "get the site cleaned up". The lady at the front desk was very rude I believe her name was Lisa? Your campground has became trashy with all the falling apart campers that seem to be permanent spots for some. This place use to be so nice. It definitely is not like it use to be! read more

Incompetent front desk staff, bed bugs, and Freeway noise. This is what you will get here. We had nights reserved for ourselves and two friends in a cabin. Our friends had to leave in the middle of the night due to bed bugs in a cabin. One had to go to urgent care due to an eye swollen shut. Then we had someone come up and say our site was taken by someone else. What on earth? Apparently the lazy AM staff that needed a cigarette instead of finishing our transaction messed it up and did not give us our site (even though we were charged for it and had a pass stating the correct exit date). Spent way too long having to prove to the manager that we had reserved it. She even went as far as saying bed bugs have never been here even though the staff told us it was a problem. Tried to blame US for their errors. The road noise is terrible. The front desk staff are incompetent. What makes it ok are the maintenance crew, the free cookies and the fact that I hate leaving one star reviews. I hate to say it but stay away. This was a terrible experience. They made a huge mistake and did not fess up to it. Our friends in the cabin had huge welts from the bed bug ridden cabins. Don't stay here. read more

It is what it is... Right off I-75... Perfect to stay over night and get back on the road the following day or 2... Not the type that you would want to bring the family to for a weeks vacation. My only complaint was they need more lighted signage directing you to the campground... Fine in the daylight but at night you will miss the sign for the turn as we did. read more

The spaces in back might be in better shape, but the transient pull-thrus near the front were precarious. Very rough road, no guard rail or guidance between you and the 20' drop in to the pond, un-level spaces, and our next door neighbor almost couldn't get his 5er pulled out because it leaned in so close to our RV when he turned on to the road. Otherwise, friendly staff and easy to find off the interstate (which you can see and hear from the front row spaces). We didn't use any of the amenities on our short stay, but the pool and playground look decent enough. There are not a lot of options for RV parks in the area, so either plan around it or set your expectations pretty low. And please, arrive in daylight. We got there for a late night check-in, and that rough road was pretty scary. read more

Stayed here on our way up to Tennessee recently. The campground is just off of I75 about a 1/2 mile by their signs. But it's a frontage road so you're paralleling I75. Stayed in the back which was very quiet and the spaces about middle of the pack...not too close. Price was reasonable for a one night stay. We drove over to town and ate at a local bbq place. most of the places under Yelp appeared to be off of the location that was set for them. Go by the address instead of the GPS marking on Yelp. read more

Easy to get to from I75, nice large pond and easy access to shops and restaurants. It does have a dog park, but needs work to make safe to turn small dogs loose. Fence is off the ground in spots and gate has been dug under. The site we had was not conducive for sitting outside. Had roots, rocks and sloped other then where camper was setting. read more

My husband and I stopped overnight this past week, we were in the back loop, 101. Our site was very unlevel and the picnic table was dirty. Thus 4 stars instead of 5. However, the staff and attention to thoughtful details were very impressive and made up for the less than desirable site. The staff in the office wore masks. The ladies in the office on Friday morning 10/23 were so very nice. Our 18 year old doxie who is wary of everyone accepted a treat from one of the office ladies. All the employees we came in contact with were exceptionally nice as well. We were pleasantly surprised with the delivery of big, warm chocolate chip cookies to our campsite after we checked in. Another nice touch was that they give you a trash bag to use and they pick up your garbage every morning. Very nice touch. They also deliver food to your campsite. The campsites up front in the wooded area looked very nice. read more

Stayed in a cabin for 1 night, thank God it was only 1 night! Our cabin was next to the interstate and it was so loud. Mattresses were hard and you could feel every spring. They also had plastic over them, I guess to cover up the pee stains on the mattresses, which were repulsive. The bathrooms were so gross. We have stayed in many KOAs and campgrounds across the United States and these bathrooms were, hands down, the nastiest. Will NOT return. read more

I booked a 2 night stay for KOA Members Appreciation weekend when I found out we had to evacuate Myrtle Beach because of Hurricane Florence. I received an email confirmation saying we were paid in full but when I got there they said there was a mistake on the KOA website and we'd have to pay for the 2nd night as well. My disabled husband and rescue animals were waiting in the car after a long ordeal so in tears I paid and emailed the owner after we set up for the night. To date I still have had no response from him. This was a total rip off taking advantage of the victims of the misfortunate ones, there were others there too that he did this to. He is disgraces the KOA name and I will never return to this campground. Worst experience ever. read more

No hot water in shower house. Pool closed due to "part" being on order. 1st time in KOA, not sure if I would stay at another. Kinda tight navigating through park with rig. Quite a few full timers which didn't bother me as I want to go full time RV when I retire however there are some real eye sore permanent units here. Staff was nice, cookies after set up. The amenities are lacking which is why I rate this review low. If you are passing through, maybe an overnight stay as a last resort option but we won't do another 3 nights here. read more

Great campground for walks. I love the hills, good for the legs and the ba-donk-a-donk...we were escorted to a site under the lovely trees and enjoyed the little lake and ducks. It's quieter if you stay in the back, but we keep a small fan going in our bedroom at night for white noise and had no problem with interstate traffic sounds. Be sure to try the pizza. It's better than you would expect. The cookies also were a nice touch. Also, use Yelp.com to show you where a restaurant named Grits is. It's pricey but so worth it! read more
