I took my XC90 to the "dealer" in Greensboro, they charged $148 for the mechanic to test drive it to diagnose a noise... he said he couldn't hear it. I took it to L&B, they heard it, replaced an axle bearing for under the $148 and have been "noiseless" since. They did "body shop" repairs that Greensboro shops wanted $2,000+ for, and fixed that and more for only $1100!!! We kept that XC90 and then also bought a newer one from L&B at a GREAT price. read more

I drove from Atlanta to L & B to have the steering rack in my 2006 XC70 replaced this week and the year before I drove another of my XC70s up for a suspension overhaul. I heard about L & B from other folks in Volvo groups. People come from out of state just to buy and service their Volvos here. The folks here know Volvos inside and out and their honesty and knowledge is unmatched. The only bad thing is they're in Virginia and I'm in Georgia. Over the phone/text/email, Justin and I identified a wheel I needed to replace a wheel that was bent by a pothole on my 06 Volvo V50. We worked together to make sure he had the right one in stock before I drove the hour to Rustburg to pick it up. This business sells and services Volvos. I found them in a Volvo web forum. I had a noisy differential. Local dealer and an independent repair shop offered new or used differentials for $8,000 to $10,000. With limited mileage warranty, for only 12 mos. The higher estimate included replacing the rear axle too. I drove from Michigan to their shop near Lynchburg, Va. They replaced the differential with a rebuilt. They rebuild them there. Currently with a warranty as long as you own. I brought the vehicle in early in the morning. Also for other maintenance. I was given a free loaner for the day. With all the other required work; my vehicle was still repaired in 1 day. The total cost of differential was less than $2,000. The other work was reasonably priced. I was able to see repaired parts. This business sells used Volvos. Their inventory of vehicles and parts was impressive. The owner/mgr, was very helpful, friendly and competent. I highly recommend this business. read more

My 05 Volvo was rear-end destroyed & that car saved my life.
