I had a blown head gasket and they told me I needed a tune up, 1000 dollars later I'm left with the same problem I had before taking it to them. In fact, you are probably better off doing the fluid and filters yourself and avoiding this shop completely. I shouldn't have to pay for your guesswork, people expect you to know what you're doing.

They once replaced a radiator in a car without first pressure testing it. A fundamental step in radiator replacement. The radiator leaked. So they had the gall to charge me for the first installation AND for the removal of the bad part and installation of what, I guess, they hoped was a good part. Picked up car and there was no heat. They had failed to burp the cooling system using the small plug on the holding tank made for that purpose. Another time, I arrived 8-10 minutes before closing only to find the office doors locked and my car in the lot UNLOCKED. I had a valet key and I drove the car home. My wife took her car to this place for an oil change and State Inspection. The 'mechanic' left off the access panel under the chassis for oil pan access. I was told they could not get the part for weeks. I found the panel on eBay for $15. I have not used this place for some time now, but I felt it necessary to forewarn people who are considering taking their vehicle to Forest Automotive. BEWARE.

After picking it up, the alignment was knocked out during the repair, the lady even said that it happens during this repair and so did the technician when he called me. It was knocked out so far that my steering was at a 45 degree angle to drive straight and was told to bring it back to get it fixed. After dropping $800+ for the parts and service, they charged me for the mis-alignment that was not needed to begin with and chalked it up to me hitting a pothole. Funny thing is, I live right off Forest Road about five minutes from the place, and there are no potholes. Update: My Chevy HHR driver electrical seat would no go back, only forward. Out of convenience I asked if they could replace the switch for the electric seat adjuster (a $25 post on Amazon, but the seat would have to be removed). They told me I had a faulty rail and that the entire system would have to be replaced at the cost of an $800 fix........ So I bought the part myself and replaced it and now the seat works just fine, cost me $25 and an hour. Makes a straight-thinking fella wonder if I was ripped off before?
