So I've been going here for years even when Daisy and Miguel were working here (probably around 2016-2017). I know it has never been perfect with conduct but those 2 made this store excellent (along with a few other employees including that bigger Caucasian gentleman, he's definitely excellent and kind). Now, what got me to make this review is when I was accidentally given an expired lubricant. Some time last month (February 2025). I was told by one of the employees that I can exchange it if I talk to the manager in the morning (via phone call or see her in person between 9AM-5PM). So I called at around 10AM the next morning, I spoke to a male employee (who was very kind btw). Then he asked the manager if the lube exchangeable. Then that manager YELLED at the employee saying "tell him no exchanges". After that I believe I heard the manger tell the employee "give me the phone". While the manager spoke to me over the phone, the manager said (YELLED OUT) "no exchanges" and "the date written is the day we got the lube". Mind you it wasn't just written but the date was part of the bottle/tube (not sure how to describe it but it wasn't stamped nor was it a sticker). I guess the word I'm looking for is "engraved" but the tube was like a small toothpaste container. It was the Swiss Navy brand with cotton candy flavor. Even the employees that I spoke to the night prior verbalized that all those small lubricants were EXPIRED. The later on that week, I just went back and got another lube and threw away the expired one. I know money is very important but I'm not making a big deal out of an item that is under $5 and arguing with a very PETTY MANAGER over something that small. Also, that manager SOUNDS LIKE A MAN WITH A HISPANIC ACCENT. I've never seen the manager but the employees did tell me that it is a her and the name is Cassandra. This store has gone down hill tremendously. Bummer, they still have some of the best men's underwear for sale.

Most of the inventory is the same basic stuff you'd see at any adult store - the 50 Shades of Gray stuff, some cheap but overpriced boxed costumes and a lot of basic vibrators. Their core customer base has likely shifted to straight cis people, based on what they carry in store and the very diminished gender neutral or affirming items they used to carry. They used to carry a wide range of toys for men but it's been replaced by a handful of basic items to make room for more vibrators. I don't plan to go back, I'll find another place for sex toys that is more queer friendly.

I actually found him after speaking with a different boudoir photography company whose ad I had seen on Instagram; I decided to do some research before committing to anyone, and found Cheshire on Yelp, checked out his website, and put in an inquiry. He called me very quickly and the conversation was so different from the other places I spoke with! Instead of just laying out "here's how it works, here's what you get for this price," etc., he asked a lot about what I was looking for, what I hoped to get out of it, my motivations or inspirations, etc. That personal touch carried throughout the experience. He consistently made an effort to understand what I was looking for--from the planning process to the photo shoot to going through the photos afterward--to make sure that I got exactly what I was hoping for. The photos themselves are absolutely awesome. It's incredible the different looks and feels he creates in a relatively small studio. More importantly, he just has an incredible eye for what is going to look good and how to create looks, moods, etc. I felt super comfortable the whole time, and I think that shows in the final product. Everyone who has seen my pictures has been blown away. He's way more than just a photographer; he's a true artist. Never in a million years had I ever imagined having a giant naked photo of myself on my wall, and yet here we are...and everyone who's seen it has been amazed. Can't recommend him highly enough!

As a…read moretrans woman who hates seeing photos of herself and can only tolerate looking in the mirror on a good day, I came into it with some trepidation and low expectations. Yet I can only describe the experience of being photographed by Cheshire as transcendent. It started at 10am with an hour of makeup and hair by an incredibly talented makeup artist who was also kind and put me at ease. This was the first time I've had my hair or makeup done professionally and I have to say I hope every experience is like that! Wow. When I looked in the mirror I caught a glimpse of myself I'd never seen before. It took my breath away. The photoshoot itself started at 11am and we didn't stop shooting until 5pm. We paused occasionally to eat some of the delicious, custom-prepared snacks Cheshire had brought tailored specifically to my partner and me. Otherwise it was non-stop photography using every corner of his incredible studio which deserves its own mention. For its size, it has such incredible versatility. We spent 6 hours shooting and had so many ideas remaining it felt like we could have exhausted another day entirely in that space, and yet each set of photos turned out as if they were shot in a completely separate location. Cheshire is an absolute master of lighting and posing. Cheshire effortlessly communicated what he wanted me to do with my body in a way that was warm, simple, and affirming. I never once felt uncomfortable. I felt like a professional who had so much beauty inside me that he was helping me to express and capture on camera. I had no idea modeling was such hard work, thought! My body was sore and tired the next day (although, after seeing the photos, it was entirely worth it). Overall, the best part of the experience was that I felt like I was collaborating with Cheshire to create art rather than a client paying to be photographed by him. It made the photoshoot (the process, the act of creation) even more special and memorable than the photos themselves, something I absolutely did not expect going into it. And then there are the photos themselves, which I can still hardly believe are real. As a trans woman, it is extremely rare to see on the outside the person I feel that I am on the inside. The set of photos Cheshire gave me a week after the shoot achieved that and more. They remain my favorite photos ever taken of me. They capture sides of me that I've simply never seen on film before or since--that I didn't think I would ever see. Thank you, Cheshire. What a gift.

I never felt rushed. She did not seem like she was in a hurry. She made sure I was positioned to be the most flattering and would help me adjust things as needed. Once my session was over, she explained to me the process for getting my album. She gave me options for the cover and let me choose the photos I wanted in the album. Along with that came a flash drive with all of my photos taken on the day. Within two weeks my album arrived at my door and it is beautiful. I noticed that they are doing appointment only, so booked easily via email - Marcia was very prompt and found a time that worked for me. Located off the main drag in Menlo Park, I was able to find parking and was a little early to my appointment, and Marcia let me in. We talked about what I was looking for, and she measured me and started the fitting process. While the first bra she brought out was close in size, it wasn't quite right for my shape, and she took the feedback and tweaked the sizing. I really appreciated the way that she gave expert opinion and advice, but also took into account how I feel with the bra on my body. We worked quite a bit on other bras and she gave lots of tips and expectations on how everything should work. I also appreciated that she is looking more into the fit and some style, and it doesn't have to be trendy. This *is* a luxury bra store, selling top-of-the-line brands (with the price tag to come with it), so be prepared to spend that money. She wasn't pushy when I decided to put a bra back, AND went out of her way to check her inventory to see if she had anything on sale for me. They do have a new customer discount, and that helps a little bit. The store is just the right size, and seems to have a good variety of sizing in stock, and Marcia will work with you to get things on hand if you are looking for a particular size/color. For what you are paying, you definitely get back the value in the service and quality of bras. You'll be in good hands (bras?) if you decide to visit here.
