Solid hotel to stay. We only stayed 1 night, so didn't get to experience it for very long, but…read moreenjoyed our time here. Our room was very spacious. Our previous hotel in Naples, as well as the one we stayed at in Sorrento, didn't have much floor space and we barely had space to open both our suitcases. We had to put at least one on the ground and step over it every time. So I really appreciated that I could walk around normally with both suitcases open. Hotel was clean overall, and location was nice. It was by the water so had a nice view. And there were a bunch of taxis parked next to it so when we had to take an early morning taxi to the airport, it arrived within a minute or so of the hotel "calling for a taxi" (which actually meant someone leaned out the door and waved one of them down). I'd stay here again.

Basic continental breakfast offerings at 20€ / person and 6€ cappuccino when the coffee shop right around the corner was much better and something like 7€ for 2 coffees AND pastries The temp in the rom only had a 4 degree range and it unfortunately was not the range we were seeking so could not get comfortable. And for a 4 star hotel. We would have expected to be able to adjust our own temperature The bathrooms were super cramped when there were both toilet and bidet. The door would not open all the way as it bumped against the toilet and we had to sandwich ourselves in between both to brush our teeth - with the added joy of the backs of our legs constantly bumping against either or both. Zero counter space. Nowhere to place towels for fear of it falling into either commode But given the location and the quiet room, we still have to rank this as A-OK

Hotel is stunning!…read more Restaurant Mama: First meal of our trip was extremely exquisite! The flavors were so rich and delicious. It was the best beginning meal! My husband chose the beef ravioli, and I selected the truffle gnocchi with walnuts. My husband's ravioli were housemade and extremely tasteful. However, I would order this gnocchi Every single time, it was that good! The shaved truffle on top was the perfect edition! This will hands-down be one of my favorite meals ever! The view is absolutely breathtaking, we had the restaurant to ourselves because we chose to eat early that night and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect beginning to an amazing trip.

Our bags were taken in from the car, we were offered cappuccinos, and we were even able to check in early. The room was fresh, clean, and really pretty. The bathroom is narrow but very nice and the shower has so many options for water flow and pressure. The bed was really comfy and they gave us complimentary sleep kits with ear plugs and masks, which we happily used. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, they answered every question we had, and gave us plenty of tips and recommendations. Like this one: if you need your laundry done, there's a place around the corner called Arcoíris/Rainbow. It's cash only, and the closest ATM is down the road a few minutes called Gym Tonic. It's €25 and they will deliver it to your hotel! We only ate breakfast once, but it has lots of options and variety and you can order custom omelets and coffee. We did eat at the hotel restaurant M'ama and really enjoyed it. The food was great, the view was spectacular, the wine was delicious, and it was so nice to walk back to the room right after dinner!

It's like that scene in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" when the entire village serves Harrison Ford's 'Indy' a plate of, what was it? Four seeds and a dead horse-fly? You just can't give the village zero stars. That's how I felt when I checked in at Pub Number 17, a renovated bed and breakfast with 1,400 year old slate walls three feet thick. You couldn't even tell it was a restaurant; it had no name anywhere on the front, no menu, no specials, no one to even greet you. I immediately expected the worst: that swarthy, unventilated, refridgeration-less, mud-on-concrete floor eatery where the vegetables are colder than the beer, rancid meat is served with finality by grieving staff, and cubes of cigarette smoke can be carved out of the air with a butter knife. Think Hungary, 1992. But I was amazed. The owner was bartending, so his wife seated us: 20 tables past a labyrinth of halls in the back. It was awkward for a moment: no menus. Someone said in Italian: "Spaghetti?", she said "alle olio?", we said "ok". That's code for "we have no sauce prepared". The spaghetti was homemade, and a revelation of "al dente", the best alle olio I could imagine. I forgot about coodies and finished everyone else's plate. Each bowl after the meal was 5/8 inch deep in oil and we hit it with the appetizer bread. After the spaghetti, she appeared again and said "Carne?". We said "Yes." We received a foot long sopressata sausage cut into inch long bits and a cheese plate of two provolones and a caciocavalla. The wine sealed the deal. We asked for a "rosso" and got "Montepulciano d' Abruzzi" which I have added as a new wine on my Vivino app. My favorite montepulcianos are La Berne's 2004 which I buy for $200 a bottle. This was better. And it came as the house red. They tacked on $14 to the bill. Simple meal. Magical moment. Five stars. Put iPhone back in pocket. Have a nice day.
