We had a beautiful stay here. Staff were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions of places to go. They gave us useful tips on where to eat and best times to go out to avoid too many crowds. The location is pretty good. Not right on the shore but pretty close. The restaurant is excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is a lovely place to relax. A bit pricy but worth it.

This was our first time visiting Praiano, and we were so happy we chose Hotel Margherita to enjoy our Honeymoon. They put so much attention to detail in everything they do and it really shows. The rooms have wonderful soaps and nice touches that we didn't expect. They greet you with a beach bag filled with reusable water bottles and beach towels to enjoy your stay. Their shuttle service around Praiano saved us from having to walk up and down the hills or call a taxi. The views from this hotel are just breathtakin;, we were regretful that we had only stayed one night. The hotel pool is quite relaxing with the same incredible views, and their rooftop restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The next time we go back to the Amalfi coast I would to stay here again but this time for a few more days.

We loved our stay here! Anita helped us get checked in and answered all of our questions about transportation and local activities. The only downside to staying in Praiano was some difficulty with getting to Positano with the bus schedules. However we enjoyed the quieter vibes in Praiano and the ease of getting to the Path of the Gods. The hotel has gorgeous views, the most amazing continental breakfast we have ever had and quaint decor. The fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade yogurt and butter cookies in the lobby were addictive.

While searching for a hotel on the Amalfi Coast we had plenty of options. I reviewed most of those options and Hotel Margherita was the clear winner. From the moment we booked the hotel the warm emails and communication was already unmatched. My wife and are were celebrating our upcoming 5th wedding anniversary and this hotel was the most romantic setting for our occasion. There is truly something to warm about this hotel and how the staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is flawless. From the moment we arrived we were instantly relaxed by the warm greetings of a beverage and guides to the entire coast. I felt like I was visiting family members, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in... and I have stayed in quite a few. The hotel is spotlessly clean with perfect views and classically decorated rooms. The hotel provides shuttle services to most places in the area and is right on the bus line to the other cities on the coast. The breakfast is DELICIOUS a wide selection of meats, pastries, fruits and eggs to order. I arranged a boat cruise through the hotel and it was flawless. We even had breakfast delivered to our room so we could enjoy the balcony with one of a kind views of the coast. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant "M'ama" was the best meal we had on our trip, but that's another review in itself. EVEN AFTER WE CHECKED OUT, my wife forgot her passport in the hotel safe Andrea and her staff went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure we received her passport at the Naples train station. I am still blown away by their service and caring nature, on top of unmatched amenities and location. We will be visiting the Amalfi Coast again and will only stay at this Hotel, this will also be the only option that we recommend to our friends and family.

~For their Restaurant, Ristorante Mama: during our stay at hotel margherita, we ate here for dinner EVERY night. THAT is how good the restaurant is! from the amazing views from their roof-top balcony, to the actually amazing cuisine they serve, this place may be hard to beat! we tried their calamari, veal, steak, gnocchi, risotto, and a couple different desserts. they were all delicious!! if you're reading this, then definitely make it out to ristorante mama to try it out. if you're not satisfied, well then, i'm not sure what will satisfy you! ;) just kidding, it's really good, so try it for yourself! ~For their hotel: My new husband and I got married in Varenna, Lake Como this past May. Afterwards, we honeymooned around Italy for three weeks. This hotel was the highlight of our entire trip! ROOM: I can't remember the exact room number, but we stayed in the 2nd best room (so they claimed, I thought it was a wonderful room) the hotel has. It's on the same level as the pool and has it's own private sea-view balcony. The views are so magnificent; the Amalfi Coast is a sight to beheld and regardless of all the negative reviews about the coast being crowded with tourists, we felt Praiano and this hotel were PERFECT. My husband would be able to relax on the balcony with me, whilst being protected by the shade, while I got to sunbathe. It was the perfect combo. We were also welcomed with an adorable heart pillow and chocolates as we were on our honeymoon. There's a sunken jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, that was nice. The room was comfortable and the balcony made it worth every penny! CUSTOMER SERVICE: The owners and the hotel staff really do everything and anything to make your stay whatever you want it to be. I love that there was room service, it may sound trivial, but we didn't have that option at all of the hotels we stayed at, so it was definitely a treat! When we first arrived into town (via a very long bus ride from Sorrento), and weren't sure where the hotel was exactly located. We called the owners and they immediately came and picked us up in town. You have GOT to love the personal shuttle service! Especially since we were lugging around some heavy luggage. The owners would provide us great recommendations (of course I always vet recommendations with TA!) and they even mapped out which buses to take, showed us maps, etc. They really went above and beyond with their customer service. :) FOOD: So you'll laugh at us, but we ended up eating at their Ristorante Mama every night because the food was THAT darn good!! Now to explain ourselves a bit, we love going to try different places, but we also love really good food! So when we found that they consistently had delicious food no matter what we ordered, we kept craving to go back! The prices aren't inexpensive, but we didn't find it was anything over the top, either. And the views, you cannot beat the panorama view of the sea. So beautiful!! And then during the day, when we were sunbathing and relaxing on our private balcony, we ordered room service because it was good and SO convenient! BOTTOM LINE: this place is romantic, beautiful, has perfect customer service, and delicious food. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel and everywhere we went afterwards dimmed in comparison to this perfect family-run hotel! It's not the cheapest, but I believe it's definitely the best value for what you pay.

Just to start off, pulling up to the hotel it is covered in beautiful blooming bougainvillea and lush flowers. The property is amazing, so small, cozy, clean and well decorated. The rooms were perfect. So clean and fresh and I loved the theming. They have really great AC, the bathroom and tile were beautiful, and they even have colored lights in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. Best part is the balcony, which opens up to a scenic view of the cliffside and the ocean. Breath taking. The family runs everything there, from the front desk to the restaurant. Alecia and Frederico were always staffing the front desk. Alecia would even come outside to greet us when we came in and always inquired how our days was. She was a delight to speak with and always helped us with recommendations. Frederico was so fun to talk to and felt so genuine in everything he did. They assisted us in booking everything we wanted, from a scooter rental to transportation needs. Literally a one stop shop of everything! The best service I have received staying at hotels... The hotel has a shuttle car that they will use to take you to Praiano or Positano any time of the day until 11pm. Luigi Sandra or Daniela will be driving you! They make nice conversation along the way and will get you there fast and safe! That was literally a lifesaver to have that amenity, so we took it into town every day then took other transportation from there. Praiano is a nice 10-minutes walk away but was needed to go to Positano. Now, the highlight of the hotel and experience was the restaurant. It is not open to the public which was so nice to have quiet and purposeful dinners. We though we would be eating in the town each night, but Daniela's cooking at the restaurant had us eating there every night of the stay!! Daniela, Luigi's daughter, does all of the cooking and is a trained chef. They have an amazing menu and are flexible to customize and make off menu items. Every dish we had there was so delicious and flavorful. Best part was the service and not having to fight any crowds. You will dine on the terrace and look out into an amazing view of the ocean and the town. Daniela and Genaro made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Genaro delighted us with little surprises of dessert and Limoncello after our meals on some occasions. He was a pleasure to talk to. All of the entrees, drinks, and dessert were above 5 star quality. Michelin quality!! Why would we want to eat anywhere else!? And just wait for the breakfast.... Amazing and filling! Overall, this was literally top 2 of hotels I have ever stayed at in my entire life, maybe even the best. I loved every moment being here and i hated the fact that we actually had to leave! I could have spent our entire Italy vacation here at Hotel Pellegrino and on the Amalfi coast. 100/10 experience!

The owner, Luigi and his family went out of their way to make sure we had more than what we needed to make our Amalfi Coast holiday memorable. The shuttle service to Positano made it much more convenient than driving our rental car. We visited during April, and the Jasmine was in full bloom. The vines surrounded our balcony overlooking the sea, and the floral aroma was intoxicating. Nearby lemon trees in bloom also added sweetness to the springtime fresh air. The in-house restaurant does a wonderful breakfast for hotel guests. Dinner is also open to hotel guests only, and with the quality of food, a wide selection of local and regional wines and a full bar, it was one of our favorites of our trip. Some cooler evenings made the fireplace a cozy and much appreciated bonus. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we decided to visit a 2nd time during our short stay. We also visited another boutique hotel to charge our electric vehicle before we left Praiano. The people there were very helpful and friendly as well, but we can't wait to return to Hotel Pellegrino. What a find!

Such a nice touch. They always had a smile on their face and welcomed us every morning and night when we saw them. The breakfasts at the hotel were high quality and delicious. Their homemade yogurt is something I will miss!! We also ate dinner there one night which was decent! We too enjoyed the sun deck and loved the views the hotel had. I could not recommend this hotel enough and can't wait to come back. We loved that Praiano too was away from the hustle and bustle and more quiet than some of the other Amalfi Coast towns. There was a great little bar across the street, as well as a fantastic restaurant- La Strada. Only caveat is that the hotel is across the way from a church whose bells ring every 15 minutes from about 6:30am-12am. It became a little incessant in the early morning hours but nothing the hotel can do about that. The shower was also very small. Overall though, an amazing stay. Grazie!y
