My husband chose the beef ravioli, and I selected the truffle gnocchi with walnuts. My husband's ravioli were housemade and extremely tasteful. However, I would order this gnocchi Every single time, it was that good! The shaved truffle on top was the perfect edition! This will hands-down be one of my favorite meals ever! The view is absolutely breathtaking, we had the restaurant to ourselves because we chose to eat early that night and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect beginning to an amazing trip. read more

We stayed at Hotel Margherita for two nights during our wedding trip and we felt so pampered! From the moment we walked in, we were taken care of. Our bags were taken in from the car, we were offered cappuccinos, and we were even able to check in early. The room was fresh, clean, and really pretty. The bathroom is narrow but very nice and the shower has so many options for water flow and pressure. The bed was really comfy and they gave us complimentary sleep kits with ear plugs and masks, which we happily used. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, they answered every question we had, and gave us plenty of tips and recommendations. Like this one: if you need your laundry done, there's a place around the corner called Arcoíris/Rainbow. It's cash only, and the closest ATM is down the road a few minutes called Gym Tonic. It's €25 and they will deliver it to your hotel! We only ate breakfast once, but it has lots of options and variety and you can order custom omelets and coffee. We did eat at the hotel restaurant M'ama and really enjoyed it. The food was great, the view was spectacular, the wine was delicious, and it was so nice to walk back to the room right after dinner! read more

Perfect stay on the Amalfi Coast! While everything at Hotel Margherita was wonderful, the friendly hospitality is what really won us over. From the minute we pulled into the small parking lot overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, a staff member was there to attend to our every need, whisking our bags up to our room while we lingered in the lobby with a glass of complementary sparkling wine as another staff member shared helpful info about the area. By the way, having a safe parking space included with the stay is priceless! It's also an incredible perk that the hotel offers a free shuttle to/from Praiano center and the beach. Once you've driven on the Amalfi Coast, you'll understand. The room itself was beautiful. I loved how colorful and eccentrically decorated the entire hotel is. The bed was really comfortable and we loved passing the time taking in the killer view from our balcony. Breakfast was ample and delicious. I especially loved the cooked to order omelets. We ate dinner at the on-site restaurant, M'ama, one night. It was great and nothing beats being able to walk to your room after a couple bottles of wine with dinner. Kasai, just a couple hundred feet down the road from the hotel, is also a really great spot if you're in town for more than one night/meal. Speaking of Kasai, continue on down the road past the restaurant to an amazing overlook -- THE perfect spot to watch the sun set over Capri way off in the distance. As we checked out, they sent us on our way with cappuccinos to go and cans of water for the car. Amazing hosts to the very end! read more

We had a beautiful stay here. Staff were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions of places to go. They gave us useful tips on where to eat and best times to go out to avoid too many crowds. The location is pretty good. Not right on the shore but pretty close. The restaurant is excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is a lovely place to relax. This hotel was one of the best things of our trip to the Amalfi coast. The service was fantastic. There always seemed to be multiple staff members ready to help you at any moment. The staff would help us coordinate and navigate to nearby cities. They helped us figure out the bus system and getting to our destinations such as the ferry to Capri. They also arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport. After we checked out, they held our luggage for us and arranged for a trusted driver to meet us in a nearby town with our luggage later that afternoon. read more

This was our first time visiting Praiano, and we were so happy we chose Hotel Margherita to enjoy our Honeymoon. They put so much attention to detail in everything they do and it really shows. The rooms have wonderful soaps and nice touches that we didn't expect. They greet you with a beach bag filled with reusable water bottles and beach towels to enjoy your stay. Their shuttle service around Praiano saved us from having to walk up and down the hills or call a taxi. The views from this hotel are just breathtakin;, we were regretful that we had only stayed one night. The hotel pool is quite relaxing with the same incredible views, and their rooftop restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We loved our stay here! Anita helped us get checked in and answered all of our questions about transportation and local activities. The only downside to staying in Praiano was some difficulty with getting to Positano with the bus schedules. However we enjoyed the quieter vibes in Praiano and the ease of getting to the Path of the Gods. The hotel has gorgeous views, the most amazing continental breakfast we have ever had and quaint decor. The fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade yogurt and butter cookies in the lobby were addictive. read more

While searching for a hotel on the Amalfi Coast we had plenty of options. I reviewed most of those options and Hotel Margherita was the clear winner. From the moment we booked the hotel the warm emails and communication was already unmatched. My wife and are were celebrating our upcoming 5th wedding anniversary and this hotel was the most romantic setting for our occasion. There is truly something to warm about this hotel and how the staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is flawless. From the moment we arrived we were instantly relaxed by the warm greetings of a beverage and guides to the entire coast. I felt like I was visiting family members, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in... and I have stayed in quite a few. The hotel is spotlessly clean with perfect views and classically decorated rooms. The hotel provides shuttle services to most places in the area and is right on the bus line to the other cities on the coast. The breakfast is DELICIOUS a wide selection of meats, pastries, fruits and eggs to order. I arranged a boat cruise through the hotel and it was flawless. We even had breakfast delivered to our room so we could enjoy the balcony with one of a kind views of the coast. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant "M'ama" was the best meal we had on our trip, but that's another review in itself. EVEN AFTER WE CHECKED OUT, my wife forgot her passport in the hotel safe Andrea and her staff went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure we received her passport at the Naples train station. I am still blown away by their service and caring nature, on top of unmatched amenities and location. We will be visiting the Amalfi Coast again and will only stay at this Hotel, this will also be the only option that we recommend to our friends and family. read more

From the moment you walk into this hotel you feel so welcomed by all the staff....the owner greets you at door and they do an absolute amazing job making sure you feel at home and comfortable. The pool is absolutely great. The rooms are so cool with printed tile floor and comfortable beds and decor. Balcony view is incredible. Breakfast is included every morning and is wonderful. There is a shuttle bus that hotel owns that drives you around for free. And if you wish to go to other towns and areas they call a taxi for you. The workers here are so nice and awesome. Afterwards, we honeymooned around Italy for three weeks. This hotel was the highlight of our entire trip! ROOM: I can't remember the exact room number, but we stayed in the 2nd best room (so they claimed, I thought it was a wonderful room) the hotel has. It's on the same level as the pool and has it's own private sea-view balcony. The views are so magnificent; the Amalfi Coast is a sight to beheld and regardless of all the negative reviews about the coast being crowded with tourists, we felt Praiano and this hotel were PERFECT. My husband would be able to relax on the balcony with me, whilst being protected by the shade, while I got to sunbathe. It was the perfect combo. We were also welcomed with an adorable heart pillow and chocolates as we were on our honeymoon. There's a sunken jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, that was nice. The room was comfortable and the balcony made it worth every penny! CUSTOMER SERVICE: The owners and the hotel staff really do everything and anything to make your stay whatever you want it to be. I love that there was room service, it may sound trivial, but we didn't have that option at all of the hotels we stayed at, so it was definitely a treat! When we first arrived into town (via a very long bus ride from Sorrento), and weren't sure where the hotel was exactly located. We called the owners and they immediately came and picked us up in town. You have GOT to love the personal shuttle service! Especially since we were lugging around some heavy luggage. The owners would provide us great recommendations (of course I always vet recommendations with TA!) and they even mapped out which buses to take, showed us maps, etc. They really went above and beyond with their customer service. :) FOOD: So you'll laugh at us, but we ended up eating at their Ristorante Mama every night because the food was THAT darn good!! Now to explain ourselves a bit, we love going to try different places, but we also love really good food! So when we found that they consistently had delicious food no matter what we ordered, we kept craving to go back! The prices aren't inexpensive, but we didn't find it was anything over the top, either. And the views, you cannot beat the panorama view of the sea. So beautiful!! And then during the day, when we were sunbathing and relaxing on our private balcony, we ordered room service because it was good and SO convenient! BOTTOM LINE: this place is romantic, beautiful, has perfect customer service, and delicious food. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel and everywhere we went afterwards dimmed in comparison to this perfect family-run hotel! It's not the cheapest, but I believe it's definitely the best value for what you pay. read more

This hotel is amazing. The lobby of the hotel has been nicely designed and there are so many little details that make this 3 star hotel a nice gem. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is actually pretty good. I was expecting your typical Italian breakfast, but they actually served eggs and you can tell them how to cook it; scrambled, omelette, etc! So far so good! Then the view of the Amalfi coast when you wake up in the morning and you have a clear day is BLISS!!!!!!! I highly recommended this diamond to anyone who is visiting. read more

Probably one of the best hotels in Praiano! I mean this in every sense of the word. From the cleanliness, to the amazing food and the TOP NOTCH service from everyone there including the OWNERS, how can you lose? It is truly a win win in all aspects. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a refreshing drink. They willingly took our luggage, thoroughly explained the area and how to get around the Amalfi very conveniently. They even have bus transfers for the coast which is amazing considering that you would usually have to purchase at a separate location. Every morning there was freshly made croissants, breads, orange juice, pastries, I mean I can go on and on but you would need to experience this for yourself. Prior to my stay I must have had a million and one questions and the owner assisted me with every single one via email until I was content. They even assisted us with booking our Capri tour! It was effortless. This really made our trip non- burdensome. Please go and enjoy one of the best hotels in the Amalfi. Praiano is a sweet gem! A beautiful property indeed! We stayed here for 2 nights leading up to our wedding in Praiano and were very pleased! From the welcoming staff to clean and comfortable rooms with incredible views and good food at the restaurant upstairs, as well as at the complimentary breakfasts each morning. The hotel sits up high on the hill in Praiano offering some pretty incredible views. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of the pool deck but everything was nice and very clean. We highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future! Praiano itself is a wonderful town for those who are looking for a less touristy alternative to the other areas of the coast. Convenient bus service allows for easy transports to neighboring towns of Positano and Amalfi. read more

I can't recommend this hotel enough. This is our second time at hotel Margherta and we loved every minute of it. Suela and all the staff are extremely helpful, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is plentiful and they will also cook your eggs anyway you want. Wifi is good. There is a lovely pool with plenty of sun chairs and an excellent rooftop restaurant and bar. Position is central between Positano and the town of Amalfi. The local bus stops right outside but they will also shuttle you to the beach and back. You won't regret staying at this hotel. I hope to visit I there again sometime in the future. read more

We loved our stay!!! Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. Suela assisted my husband with arranging a transfer that picked us up in Naples and brought us to the hotel. She also assisted us with what to do locally and setting up our transfer to Capri. It was our 1st trip to the Amalfi and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Upon checkin, I was surprised to find roses petals on our bed and a bottle of champagne in celebration of our 1st year wedding anniversary. We were even upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi! Also, I loved all the little details within our room and the monogrammed flip flops. We have one more night left here and I am already planning when we are going to come back! read more

We spent five nights here. Having been in Positano previously we wanted something a bit quieter yet within easy distance. This hotel was a great choice. Initially we thought the room a bit small but we grew into it, especially with the lovely balcony. Breakfasts were superb. Owners and staff were extremely helpful. Pool and rooftop bar restaurant were excellent. Great bruschettas for lunch and a lovely spot for last drinks before bedtime overlooking the sea. Overall very good value. read more

What a fabulous place! Suela is a gift and Gennaro is "jack of all trades". This family business has a beautiful lemon garden, a fantastic view of the coast and wonderful rooms! Wish we had spent more time there. We had transportation crisis and they were there with information, support and solutions. We had a whirlpool tub and a 2 story room. We thought the bottom floor was it but then they showed us the master suite with the balcony view and we were hooked! Had a great stay here. Location is perfect and facilities very good. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Most rooms have fantastic views though a few in the "older" wing look onto a wall, with no natural light so be careful about what room you end up with. One of the other rooms had a fantastic view, but the bathroom had some design flaws so the whirlpool tub did not work and there was not adequate ventilation, so there was mold by the window. We ate lunch in the restaurant once and the food was pretty good, though I think there are better dinner options in town (though we did not eat dinner here). Breakfeast is decent.
