A family member had an appointment with the stylist Maureen. The front desk apparently booked the appointment incorrectly, and instead of handling the situation professionally, the stylist appeared frustrated. The service felt rushed, shortcuts were taken, and she was physically rough, pulling on my family member's hair and face in ways that made her uncomfortable. The end result was uneven and not what we expected, and my sister's hair was left noticeably botched. I contacted the manager, Dominic, who initially said he would help arrange a makeup appointment. Instead, he later told my family member he did not believe her concerns and informed her she would no longer be accepted as a client. Only a partial refund was offered for a service that cost nearly $300. UPDATE: the owner, Ron Rocco, called me. He said he was reaching out to help schedule a new appointment, but the call quickly shifted to him saying he did not want to do my family member's hair. Throughout the call, he repeatedly raised his voice and spoke over me, not allowing me to speak. As a younger woman speaking with an older male business owner, the interaction felt intimidating, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. During the call, he also mentioned that he had checked with the stylist to confirm whether my family member had tipped. She had tipped generously, and the comment felt completely unnecessary and out of place. He also stated that he is at the salon every day, which differs from what staff members had previously told us. He mentioned that he was "not threatend of a Yelp review," and I want to be clear: reviews are not threats. They are honest accounts of customer experiences. Everything in this review is truthful and based entirely on firsthand interactions. I also received a notice from Yelp that the business attempted to have my review removed. Key points: --I personally do not feel safe or comfortable returning to this salon. -I do not recommend booking with Maureen based on how she handled this situation. -In my experience, the business did not prioritize customer satisfaction or take accountability. -Management made me feel that customer concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. -The service felt overpriced for the rushed quality delivered. -Several interactions with the front desk staff felt unprofessional and unfriendly. -As a young woman, my interactions with both management and ownership felt uncomfortable and intimidating. -My sister's hair was left uneven and poorly done, which added to the frustration. -The salon seemed willing to tolerate the behaviors and issues we experienced rather than fixing them. -To quote Ron Rocco "Yelp reviews don't threaten me"! While there I bought and used the $10 primer packet all over, used the hand lotion as instructed, stood in the booth EXACTLY as the associate showed me, cleaned up after as I was instructed, wore loose clothing and did no sweaty activity for 18 hours. Monday morning - By the time I woke up the next day, my tan was crazy dark on my face compared to my body, uneven on my legs and arms, and you can see droplets all over my hands, legs, etc. I fixed with at home with a mitt and Bondi Sands on my arms and legs, and it looked as I'd hoped, except for my hands where it still has spray droplets that can't seem to be evened out. Little to no sweating and staying moisturized. Wednesday afternoon - I have orange patches in some spots, my hands are still spotty, and a square inch patch on my chest has rubbed off. Little to no sweating and staying moisturized still. I've gotten spray tans before and this has never happened elsewhere. I did *everything* I was supposed to do and this tan is crap. I've used Jergens and Bondi Sands at home that have worked better than whatever garbage LA Tan uses. I completely regret buying a 4 spray tan package. What a waste of money.

Worst f******g massage of my life…read more Me and my fiancé just came out of a couples massage and we told them to use as much pressure as they had to get the knots out of our inner traps and upper lats as we both work out and are super tight. That's it. Instead they just rubbed our backs almost like they were embracing us and didn't use any pressure at all. Tony the therapist that did my massage spent the majority just pulling my legs and my arms and doing assisted stretches... I work in the fitness industry and help people do assisted stretches and and that was done poorly as well and the stretches didn't even make scientific sense with my joints which are bothering me now. So long story short. I was so sore and excited walking in but extremely polite and clear with what me and my fiancé were expecting and through the massage reminded both masseuses what we needed, which was more pressure and instead of listening they would move to a different body part. So weird. Then Tony asked how I was feeling and I said my lats and traps are still really knotted and hurt asked if he could help and instead he started doing assisted rotator cuff stretches? THEN the worst part is that he said sorry he was incapable of giving me a good massage because it was a couples massage and that I would have to rebook with him to go more in depth.... What a scammer it was super obvious that he was trying to not fully solve my problem to try and get me to come back for an another session so he makes more money. I like that they offer a lot of tan shades. If you are on the pale side I would highly suggest the medium-light shade. My tans always come out pretty even and natural looking. I definitely feel more confident wearing white when I have a nice light tan. If I'm tanning for a Saturday I prefer to go on Wednesday for it to look the most natural, Thursday wouldn't be bad either it's just very dark for any event I have on Friday. Make sure to follow all of their helpful guidelines they email you so that you can have the best tan possible, the tips really do make a difference. I also like that they don't try to upsell you stuff while you are there. They will only suggest something if you ask or it makes sense. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion but you can definitely trust them for your big life events!

I ended up actually trimming mine down because I was looking for more of a "im blessed with nice lashes" look than a big fake lash look. Then again maybe they do this and I asked for the wrong thing.
