    Chicken Katsu Curry
    Zephaniah E.

Huge portions.... was so much food I had to share with my gf- forgot to include the miso soup in my picture Don't judge a book by its cover truly, I initially came in with a low bar Surprisingly the curry was super delicious and flavorful The chicken too was soo moist and super tender probably the best chicken katsu I've ever had

Super delicious! Had the chicken curry. Katsu was delicate, moist and flavorful. Sauces and curry were spot on. Sesame salad dressing was delicious and ginger teriyaki sauce on rice made the rice alone worth it. I would definitely go back. Service was quick and friendly and place seemed clean. It is in the food court for H mart. Tasty!!!

Inside H Mart is the food court. Go in and find KZ Mori towards the left rear of the eating place. Our first time here and we knew the foods would be Asian influence. So we know "Katsu" is like a Hawaiian or Japanese breaded protein on top of a scoop of white rice. I ordered a pork and a chicken small Katsu Bowl. A little beeper would let me know when ready...it was taking a long time. Finally got our two bowls bagged with utensils and a small container of the sauce. Tried the pork and first impression was .. thin cut and ok breading, but not savory.... sauce should probably be Teri like. Tried the chicken.. hmm it is moist and better flavor although the breading is the same... rice was plenty and dry so use the sauce on the rice. We don't know if we should have picked Korean or even a sandwich or a Bobba or a hot dog... we just knew Katzu and KZ Mori did not really impress.

delicious!! the worker in the front is always really kind. curry chicken (5/5) - my go to! the portion sizes are so good for the price. the curry is thick and has a slight kick to it, which i enjoy. the plates are loaded with rice and cabbage. fish curry (5/5) - my boyfriends favorite! he loves the fish, it's always fried well. everything is so yummy for the price and portion. definitely try it if you're in the food court!

It was our first time here and we got the curry chicken. My boyfriend and I both shared this dish and it is more than enough. It comes with side of rice, miso soup, salad and the curry. Every sauce was so good! Highly recommend trying this place out. Everything was so good and the chicken was so juicy and perfect. So flavorful and very good quality. The service was really good. We went on a Thursday for lunch. Plenty of seating since it's a food court. I love the environment. I love that you can go shopping and then eat a yummy meal and dessert if you want!

Errands after errands we did passed by hmart and ended up checking out there food hall. This place was honestly one of the best places I've had curry katsu. I had to request separating the sauce since my mom was with me.. and man she even mentioned the katsu was crispy and seasoned well.. also! this was just one order and just be aware of there portions which is great for its price.

We just had our mandatory Hmart food court date this weekend and tried out KZ Mori. For $19 we got the Mix Katsu Combo with Curry served on the side. The tray came with miso soup, cabbage salad and katsu sauce! Pickled radishes were at the counter for self service as well! We were there late afternoon so the wait for food was quick, about 10 minutes before our order was done. Portions are huge, we ended up sharing the entree between the two of us! Light batter on the katsu slices, with such a good crunch to each bite! The chicken tasted a tad juicier than the pork but overall each bite was a great compliment to the curry! Definitely a great stop for a good deal and a great lunch!

Inside the huge HMart food court. Got the fish katsu. Perfectly seasoned and fried. Crispy outside and moist inside. All sauces goes well with the fish. It also came with salad and miso soup. A healthy choice. The staff is friendly. A casual setting with lots of table. Huge parking.

Food and service was really good. I got the tofu katsu and my son got a side of cheese katsu. The breading was fantastic, as was the katsu sauce. The portion of katsu was huge. The only thing I might soggiest is that the tofu be a little bit thinner as it was a little on the softer side. I feel like if it was thinner, it would accent the breading better. Definitely heading back to this place.

Located in HMart food court. We ordered the Pork Katsu. Customer service was 5/5. The taste of everything was fine/average but at that price point, compared to local sit down restaurants that serve katsu at a lower price before tip, I do not think it is worth it. If you're just looking for a quick bite to eat and have to make a quick decision, this would be a solid choice as it does offer generous portions. However, I can't see myself craving this place and wanting to come back. Plenty of seating during a weekday, good luck finding a spot in weekends.

Ordered the chicken katsu curry and really enjoyed it. The katsu was crispy without being oily and I also like that it came with cabbage miso soup and rice. It is a big portion so it was worth the price. The worker was also very friendly and food came out fairly fast

I came back to this place because my first experience was very good. This time they were two employees at the front of the restaurant and when I asked questions they spoke in Spanish to each other instead of answering my question. They told me I didn't know what I was talking about. The woman told the man working there just give her whatever. They didn't know that I understand Spanish. While I was waiting she killed a fly on the wall with her hand and never washed her hands. The man was the one that was handling my food thank God! I don't think I'll be coming back dies to customer service or lack there of and that the employee aren't hygienic apparently. It cost nothing to be a nice person. I guess Kz Mori doesn't feel the same way.

Started with the Hamachi Crudo - fresh hamachi with aguachile, avocado, cucumber, serrano, and macerated strawberries. The Momonoki Chicken Wings followed with a crispy 12-hour brined chicken glazed in caramel fish sauce, Thai chili, and scallions. Sweet, savory, crispy... these disappeared quickly. The Dashi Pesto came with pan-seared Hokkaido scallops, dashi-infused pesto, blistered cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan. Then came the Gochujang Pork Belly over mashed potatoes with mozzarella and scallions. The pork belly was tender and flavorful, but those mashed potatoes deserve their own review. Seriously, the softest and creamiest mashed potatoes ever. Ever. Finished the savory side with the Miso Bacon Carbonara - creamy miso-Calabrian chili carbonara with crispy bacon, Parmesan, and scallions. Rich, comforting, and another dish worth coming back for. Dessert brought strawberry lychee ice cream and sesame creme brulee. Both were pleasant, although the savory dishes were definitely stars of the evening. Signed up for an event and left with a list of reasons to come back. Momonoki understood the assignment and those mashed potatoes the extra credit. Shoutout to the cool and amazing staff!

We started with the Calamari Fritti, which had a light, crispy batter with little bits of garlic that made it especially good. The Seafood Mafaldine was rich and satisfying, with generous chunks of succulent crab throughout the sauce. The Scallop Dashi Risotto was another standout, with plump, fresh pan-seared scallops and beautifully creamy risotto. And the Short Rib Gnocchi had wonderfully tender, aromatic beef paired with gnocchi that had just the right texture. But the surprise favorite of the night was the Mortadella & Pistachio pizza. The light crust, lemon pistachio cream, creamy burrata, basil pesto, and savory mortadella came together well. Every bite had a great mix of creamy, salty, nutty, and fresh flavors. I wouldn't have expected pizza to steal the show, but it absolutely did. The ambience is stylish and energetic without being stuffy. Our server was friendly, although the restaurant was busy enough that it was sometimes hard to get their attention. Overall, a great dinner with memorable dishes. If you want to go, don't forget to make reservations or else you might have to wait an hour or so. This place is popular!

The yuzu and lemonade didn't overpower each other, and a nice touch of the mint leaf! Kei Coconut Ube had a nice taste to it. The sweetness was nice, super purple in color, and worth trying at least once. Drink definitely does not look or taste like a beer so think of it as a sparkling Ube drink when you try it. Beef Tongue appetizer was very tasty and the appearance was pretty. The sauce was very delicious with a hint of citrus. Beef Bowl Udon was delicious as well. The udon noodles are in the middle of the thickness level. Broth was nice and refreshing, and the beef belly was super soft and tasted amazing. Seafood Tom Kha Ramen was really good. Seafood in it were shrimps, scallops, and squid/calamari. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick to it. Veggies were nice and mixed well with the seafood ramen! Unfortunately, the eggs do not come with the udon or ramen, but they do have free unlimited ramen noodles!!! They let you get it for the udon broths as well! If you dine alone, understand this before putting your name down: in my experience, a party of one…read moreis not treated as a party of equal priority here. I say that as someone who is not an occasional customer. I come here roughly every other day. I spend hundreds of dollars here in a typical week. I know the menu, order immediately, make virtually no special requests, finish my meal within 30-40 minutes, and routinely tip 20-25%. I am about as low-maintenance and commercially reliable a customer as a restaurant could ask for. Apparently, none of that matters once the number beside your name on the waitlist is "1." The restaurant has counter seating directly in front of the grills--the area where solo diners and couples are commonly seated. When I arrived, there were individual seats available between other parties. I checked in for one and waited approximately 30 minutes. During that wait, I watched those available seats effectively disappear as seating was rearranged to accommodate larger parties. At first, I gave the staff the benefit of the doubt. The manager who normally handles seating was not there, and I assumed they were simply working down the Yelp waitlist in chronological order. Then a party of five that had checked in well after me was seated at a table before I was. At that point, the logic became fairly obvious: rather than seat one person in an available counter seat, they were waiting for a diner in the corner to finish so that I could be placed there instead. When I raised this with Kenny, who identified himself as the person in charge of the shift, his explanation was essentially that he understood I was upset, but that I needed to understand his position: he did not think it was appropriate to seat me between two other parties because there supposedly was not enough space. That explanation did not resolve the issue. It confirmed it. If an available seat is considered usable when it helps accommodate a larger party, but somehow unsuitable when it would allow a solo customer to be seated in a reasonable order, then the operative distinction is not space. It is party size. Restaurants understandably have to maximize seating efficiency. I do not expect a four-top to be sacrificed for one person, nor do I expect special treatment because I am a regular. What I do expect is something much more basic: that a customer not be quietly moved behind people who arrived later simply because the restaurant has decided their party is economically more convenient. There is also something particularly tone-deaf about telling a customer who has rightfully identified an observable disparity in treatment that they need to "understand" management's position. I understood the position perfectly. That was the problem. A loyal customer should not need to arrive with three additional bodies in order for his place in line to retain its meaning. So, for anyone who frequently eats alone: take this experience into account before coming here. You may see open counter seats. You may have checked in before larger parties. You may be a regular. You may be courteous, fast, uncomplicated, and generous with your tips. And you may still discover that, here, one person is treated as less urgent than five. That is a remarkably effective way to make a frequent customer reconsider being one.
