both were deliciously refreshing as always!

I have always loved Kyuzou! I've been here many times and each experience has always been wonderful. The sushi was perfectly presented as always, with excellent taste. The service was delightful as always, with very kind waiters, and chefs. The ambiance was quiet, calm, and relaxing My only caveat this time; I believe they changed the seaweed they used, it was quite chewy and thick, I couldn't eat through it, please consider using a different seaweed! Thank you very much to the chef for preparing another lovely meal for my bf and I, and thank you to our waitress for your kindness and making us feel welcome! TLDR; i have always loved Kyuzou but they changed their seaweed. It's too thick and chewy. I've been here many times and they changed the seaweed they normally use.

Excellent lunch specials today I really like my avocado tempera. It is hard to find. I got it with the eggplant tofu spicy lunch special. My family got the Japanese bento box options. we love that you get edamame soup, rice, and salad with it. Can't wait to also try more of their Thai options.

We decided to stop by because of the high star reviews. We were the only customers there, and the service was decent. However, the food isn't worth the high price tag, especially the 49ers sushi roll, which was wrapped mostly in rice.

The service was good. There aren't too many options. The restaurant was cute and was located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The only thing l noticed was that the fans needed to be dusted desperately... My husband loved his sashimi and wants to go back :)

This was our first time trying this location and everything about it was really good. The ambiance is very settle, simple but cute. Me and my husband both got dinner entrees; he got the salmon and I got the steak. Both were really good and was not expecting it to be as presentable and cooked perfectly. We also got their garlic edamame and the flavors on those were addicting to my husband. He ended up scooping some of the flavors from the edamame and ate it with his rice - LOL. We also got the nigiri and to be honest, the quality was really great. The belly of the tuna was really buttery and wish we ordered more, but then we wouldn't be able to eat our main entrees. I personally would definitely make another trip here and try more on their menu.

Went to Kyuzou for dinner tonight, haven't been in a while (over a year for sure). I like how the inside is cozy and a bit small. Decorated very cute. Our server was with us soon after looking over the menu which was great. I ordered a matcha IPA which I was excited to try, along with our food and appetizer. Service was a little slow after we ordered - took maybe 15 minutes for the matcha IPA to come out. Got the Korean wings appetizer and miso soup shortly after that. My husband got his teriyaki chicken dinner about 10 minutes before my chirashi bowl came out, and he was almost done eating by the time I got mine. This didn't really bother me tonight since it was just he and I eating but if we were with our kids and their food came out late this would've been a bigger annoyance. My chirashi bowl was super good, it had lots of sashimi and pickled vegetables which I love. I would definitely get it again. My husband said he liked his teriyaki chicken as well. We both thought the Korean wings were delicious - a little spice but not overpowering, nice flavored sauce. The total for our meal was about $80, that was for the teriyaki chicken, chirashi bowl, one appetizer, one beer, and a side of miso soup. Seemed a little expensive, but it was good.

The food looked beautiful but it tasted just okay. It didn't stand out as much. I did order through DoorDash so maybe it would be better if I sat down inside.

Was needing a sushi fix and had not had a chance to go here. Came in, just me...party of one. Decided to sit at the sushi bar. I received a dinner menu and a drink menu. I scanned the menu looking for my favorite roll...some places call it a 49'r roll. I call it a salmon roll with tiny slices of lemon on top. They did not have either listed but they prepared a delicious Rainbow Roll along either the salmon that I requested. I also had a very nice cup of miso soup and a small bowl of edamame. I had wonderful service not only from the men behind the sushi bar but also from the male and female food servers. Wonderful dinner, wonderful restaurant!!

went here for early dinner,we ordered mixed tempura, gyoza,Brentwood pd and rainbow roll, everything is good, but slowly prepared, ambiance is ok and needs updating, service is kinda slow and there are few tables getting serve,it was an ok experience for us.

Tried this place for dinner while we were around the area. Small and clean place, they were slow that night with only a few tables . We tried a couple of yakitoris - chicken thigh meat which were tasty although the serving portion was small. We also had the Hamachi avocado appetizer and the Alicia rule. Both were good and tasted really fresh although I was hoping for it to be a little bit more spicy.. For entrée, we shared a beef teriyaki which was flank steak that was very tender and flavorful.

I am a huge fan of their sushi pizza which is a mix of spicy tuna and crabmeat topped with this crispy tempura nori and drizzled with this sweet and spicy sauce. Each bite is crispy and full of tuna flavor. I've had a lot of different sushi rolls in my life and this one in particular is different and special. I never had anything like it. I also love their Caterpillar roll; eel with avo. This roll is common, but they make it really good here. Another interesting and delicious roll is the Mango Crunch; Spicy tuna, salmon, and fresh mango slices with unagi sauce. This roll is sweet and savory, all in one. The sushi chef really takes his time crafting each roll. Our order does take time because everything is made fresh and from scratch. We love Neko Sushi and we'll definitely be coming back again for more.

My husband and I were hungry and honestly, just picked the first sushi spot that came up for us that was the closest. We have been so accustomed to mediocre sushi that we stopped being picky. We were just happy to eat sushi (our kids hate it). We showed up during lunch time the first time. We took advantage of their lunch menu. I ordered the sushi lunch special which came with 5 pieces of sushi and 1 California roll. My husband ordered the 2 piece Bento box: salmon teriyaki and California roll. We decided to also order a scallop shooter and a almon belly nigiri, along with the 49er roll When the plates arrived, I was immediately impressed by how thick the fish was. Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Mackerel, Albacore were the 5 pieces assorted to me. All were amazingly fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the California roll. It was just the perfect amount of mayo and crab. The scallop shooter was such a nice surprise. In addition to the many pieces of scallop in there, it had masago, a quail egg floater, AND uni! For $10 each, I would say that it was well worth it. It definitely is a mouthful, but delicious. As for the salmon belly, what a treat! You can taste how fresh and fatty it is. I honestly dream about it. They put fresh wasabi on top and they sear the top juuuuust slightly, enough to give a little smoke taste. If I could, I'd probably order 10. I do feel that $12 for 2 pieces is also fair, especially for the quality. My husband also enjoyed his teriyaki salmon, he mentioned it could've been a bit bigger, but the flavor was good. The roll was also delicious. Perfect ratio of fish, rice, & toppings. We came back a 2nd time because I could not stop thinking about it. We decided to come for dinner and we splurged. We had faith and decided to try many items on their special's list for the day. We ordered salmon belly, hamachi belly, omakase, scallop shooter, ankimo, & salmon/tuna tartare. Lucky for us, the omakase which is 9 pieces also included some additional specials like the O-toro & albacore belly. Looking back, I think ordering the omakase as a personal item vs sharing would've been a better idea. Especially if you want to try all the specials, the price is roughly the same cost. We enjoyed every piece, so getting duplicates of items was more than welcomed. I would say that the salmon belly is a must, along with the ankimo (monk fish liver), and the hamachi belly. Take my advice, order the omakase for yourself. Try all the different nigiri and savor each bite. This place is about 25 mins from us, but it's definitely worth the drive! Annnnd I'm a cat lover, I love the simple decor and the cat themed portraits.

There was such a perfect balance of crunchy, savory, tangy, and comforting flavors, and everything paired beautifully with the grilled meats. Some of the side dishes we had were: kimchi, spicy cucumber salad, seasoned spinach, green onion pancake, a glass noodle dish, potatoes in a sweet glaze, stir-fried fish cake and my absolute favorite! We've always enjoyed the sushi, which has consistently been great, but the service has usually been just "okay." Unfortunately, our most recent visit (11/22/25) was deeply disappointing and felt disrespectful. We arrived around 6:30 PM and were barely acknowledged by the staff, including the manager. I let them know I needed a table for four and waited patiently, understanding that there were no open tables at the moment. About 20-25 minutes later, staff began cleaning a table, and one employee even gestured that it would be ours. Before we were seated, a family of six walked in and immediately took that same table. The manager then informed me that the table was actually reserved, despite the earlier gesture indicating it was mine. There was absolutely no communication beforehand to clarify that the table was being prepped for a reservation. The only reason he even spoke up was because I questioned it when I saw the other family sit down. When I asked why this wasn't communicated sooner, the manager simply said, "We're busy. You should've made a reservation." The dismissive tone and lack of professionalism were extremely disappointing--especially considering how often we've supported this restaurant and how much money we've spent here over the years. It genuinely breaks my heart, because we've always enjoyed the food. But the unprofessional and rude behavior from management tonight was unacceptable. Great sushi isn't enough to make up for consistently poor service and disrespectful treatment. Sadly, we won't be returning.
