Salmon Lover and 8. Dragon

Chelsea is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Not only is it delicious but it is also very fresh! I still have not eaten inside the restaurant but it seems very inviting and is at an ideal place in downtown Brentwood. I ordered the salmon lovers and the dragon roll. The service was exceptional, food was delicious and made quickly.

We got here on a Monday night right at 4:30pm. The establishment was clean and the kitchen looked ready to go. The rolls were fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. They had Christmas music in the background so that was nice. We've always ordered via DD, and hadn't had the opportunity to dine in. Will definitely come back to try out more rolls and take advantage of their happy hour! I posted a pic of the happy hour menu, you're welcome

Very small, lion king roll

Place was small, but clean. Tables and chairs. Outdoor seating as well. Service was good. I ordered the Lion King which was about $16, but it took a while to come out since it's baked. It was delicious, but it was VERY small. Kinda disappointed about that. There were 8 pieces, but very tiny. I don't think it was worth $16 at all. If I do comeback again, I would def order something else to try.

I was in the area for a hair appointment and ordered pick up that my cohort picked up. Between what we ordered: SF roll, rainbow roll and Saba nigari, the SF roll was the star. The rainbow roll, I know is basically a california roll with fish on top, but all I could taste was california roll instead of the fish on top. Granted the california roll was sizeable, I would opt for a california roll and order a escolar nigari, white fish in the rainbow roll. The SF was tasty, and the spicy tuna plus sauce had a nice kick. For the price of two rolls, one order of nigari and edamame, it was a little pricey but worth the pick up.

My Husband and I was looking for something different ,but he really wanted some Sashimi . So we googled upon Chelsea's . It was a nice location outdoor or indoor seating we selected outdoors . The atmosphere was great ! We heard music playing down the way the service was good it was a warm beautiful day my husband enjoyed his Sashimi I had upgraded California roll plus we shared the Salt n Pepper chicken wings . They were the Bomb!! My only remark would be if they would have been fried about 3 more minutes. But they were hot juicy and all the food was FRESH!! We were continuously asked by the entire staff " Is everything ok"? . Rachel our server I really liked her , she was patient, kind and so polite with a friendly smile. My husband really enjoyed the Sake!! Date afternoon was Great . We will be back.

Tempura

Tonkotsu Ramen was flavorful and pork was tasty. Mango Salad was fresh and refreshing taste. Toro handroll was excellent. Tempura was perfectly fried. Service was always attentive and the room was spacious and inviting .

Our first time in this place. They are located in downtown Brentwood - nice and cozy little place. They have Fresh sushi and a good selection of special rolls. Food tasted great!

Sandi Roll: tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, cucumber, snow crab, seared tuna, fried onion, unagi sauce and spicy mayo ($17.95)

There's something here for everyone at Chelsea! My friend is more of a sushi purist, while I am partial to the fancy rolls with multiple sauces. We were easily able to find something that suited both our tastes. I ordered one of the house specials, the Sandi roll. It came with a plentiful amount of fried onions. I envisioned a sprinkling of shoestring onions atop the roll, but these were thicker and piled high! I'm not complaining though, I love me some fried onions! My friend got the coco roll and said she liked it and would order it again. I had a piece and thought it was good, but I needed some more of a textural aspect to it. The green tea was good with plenty of refills, and a steal at $1/pp. Fast and friendly service too!

the chelsea is serving some of the best sushi in Brentwood. located in the heart of the downtown, the Saturday night vibes here are amazing. i loved how there wasnt a wait for a saturday night, but there was a full house. after ordering and enjoying this sushi experience, i am happy to inform it was a successful night for us here: lion king roll (9.5/10) : made with avocado and crab salad, covered with baked salmon. this was the best thing the whole night, 'Chef Sauce' included. 4 huge rolls, that leave you satisfied with flavors and a kick w the sauce california roll: (8.5/10) : crab salad with avocado. your basic roll delivers, with the imitation crab filling the roll and well made miso soup: (8/10) : small soup with a smooth flavor to it. tofu delicious, soup warm, great w rice chelsea special roll: (7/10) : shrimp tempura & cucumber. covered with spicy tempura and tempura. below par with too much tempura and flakes on the outside. cucumber barely savored; try the spicy mayo w it all around, an amazing top tier sushi experience at chelsea. the return visit shall happen soon

Is the website menu up to date? Just noticed the Mickey Mouse party tray shows $75 on the website, but $115 on DoorDash???! That would be quite an up charge and I would happily come in to pick it up.

The current price for Mickey Mouse party tray is $95. DoorDash charges more for delivery service.

Do you take reservations?

Yes. Reservation in advance is suggested especially during weekends. Please call the restaurant to reserve. If tables are all reserved, then it will be “First come, First serve!” Thanks!

Although people post pictures of the food-- the menu is constantly rotating and changing on a day-to-day basis and a seasonal basis so the food you see might not always be the same menu. I really like that because it makes it a consistent date spot because the food is constantly changing and it's a new experience every time. The food itself was amazing because everything's handmade and farm-to-table. Everything is seasoned so nicely, presented, with super fresh quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen staff are highly trained and have exquisite taste buds. Would recommend for anyone looking for a new date spot, cocktail bar, or special restaurant for a special occasion!

I got there walked up to the bar was not greeted by the bartender. I wanted to buy a cocktail and yet no one helped me so I sat outside for a little bit went back in still no help so then I went to a different place and only came back because I wanted to be around the music. When I came back, there was a lot more people music was playing, and I sat at the bar waited for the bartender for over an hour, and there were two behind the bar. They totally just ignored me. I was quiet I wasn't acknowledged at all I tried to raise my hand to get their attention and they just totally acted like they didn't want to be there and we're just helping the people they knew it was a horrible experience as I talked to a few of the locals that go there they said that yeah the bartenders are not very friendly unless they know you well then why the heck would anybody want to go there? I was very disappointed and that will be the last time that I go there I will take my business and my friends to the local spot around the corner. The drink that I finally got because a man had to wave down the bartender and said she's been waiting wasn't even made correctly. It was a simple, three ingredient drink, and yet a bartender he screwed up. I did not complain. I let it go. I paid my bill, which was higher than it should've been and I still tipped well, even though I probably shouldn't have tipped because he did not deserve it because of the service and serving me not what I ordered, but that's not me so I tipped had my cocktail talk to a few people and left. That will definitely be my last time ever going there.

We started with the coconut shrimp, which were a good size, crispy and tasty, with sweet-and-sour sauce on the side. The pretzel bread basket was also very good. The crab cakes were probably the biggest disappointment. There were four, each about the size of an Oreo cookie. They were sitting in sauce, which made them soggy and caused them to fall apart. There was also a strong roasted red pepper flavor in the cakes that overpowered the crab rather than complementing it. I think these would be much better with the sauce served on the side and a little less going on inside the crab cake itself. The ribeye was cooked as ordered and enjoyable. It came with a small serving of caramelized onions on the side and a small amount of sauce that tasted somewhat like A1 or a BBQ-style steak sauce. I appreciated that neither was poured over the steak, so the flavor of the meat wasn't covered up. The pork chops were cooked perfectly--very juicy and flavorful. My only complaint was the demi-glace. The chops were drenched in it, and I think serving it on the side would make a big difference and let the quality of the pork stand on its own. The kids' butter noodles were a little watery, but overall they were fine. Overall, good service, well-cooked proteins, and an enjoyable meal. A few small changes, particularly serving some of the sauces on the side, or at least not touching the star of the plate, would make several of the dishes much better.

We started with the crab cakes and Caesar salads. The crab cakes were a good size and came with a really tasty sauce. They weren't the best crab cakes I've ever had, they were still good but I don't know that I'd order them again. The Caesar salads were excellent. They were a generous size, the lettuce was crisp and fresh, and they didn't skimp on the fresh Parmesan cheese. For our entrees, I had the beef Wellington and my wife had the filet, both with garlic mashed potatoes. Both steaks were cooked absolutely perfectly and everything was delicious. We were way too full to try dessert, but that just gives us another reason to come back and work our way through more of the menu. One thing that surprised us was how busy it was inside. From the outside, the restaurant looks pretty quiet and unassuming, but once you walk in, you realize they clearly have a loyal following. You can also tell that Cap's is family-run, and there's something really special about seeing a local restaurant that has clearly built something that works. The caesar salad was just that, I suppose it was okay ‍. Both were presented in a large bowl but there was a lot of "food padding". Now, I was born and raised in San Francisco, so the crab louie threw me off. I'm use to ice berg, egg, tomato and a pile of Dungeness crab. The Dungeness sat on top (not really a lot), then there was iceberg, onion, cucumber, egg, tomato, mushrooms and artichoke (lol). It felt like they threw in everything but the kitchen sink. There was a lot of lettuce piled at the bottom. I didn't eat much, I had to bring it home and try to fix it. The dressing was good, although it was thousand island, which has sweet pickles and traditional louie dressing does not. I would go back and try something else but not the crab louie.
