Mar Y Tierra Tacos were fire
Cheryl G.

The bag was quite heavy with only four tacos in it- and when I opened them up I thought WOW this is going to be amazing. My Mar Y Tierra taco was delicious! I did get a grizzly piece of meat on my first bite but aside from that the taco was enormous and perfect. I loved the melted cheese on the tortillas too. To be honest, the one taco would've been enough food for me and I can eat a lot. I put just a little bit of their red salsa on it which went perfectly. I wish I had stopped there, but not knowing the tacos would be that big, I had ordered a Ranchero shrimp taco also. I like Ranchero sauce and it sounded good. It was disgusting. The shrimp itself was fine, which is what I ate off the taco. I started eating it with a fork because the thing was too damn big to try to pick it up and eat it. Underneath the shrimp I have never seen so much minced garlic in my life. I tried to scoop it out, and I scooped out several tablespoons of it but it was ingrained all throughout the taco. There wasn't any discernible Ranchero sauce on it either, just a lot of diced up tomatoes, onions, and a splotch of some kind of cream sauce. I basically ate the shrimp off the top and threw the rest away. I had a terrible sour garlic taste in my mouth all day. I would go back again, but I would definitely not ever order that nasty taco. Maybe it was a fluke and it's not supposed to be made like that, but I don't feel the need to find out.

Mar y Tierra and spicy octopus taco.

Stopped by for lunch and it gets busy, beware. I ordered the Mar y Tierra and Spicy Octopus tacos. Pros: huge serving, nice seasoning flavor, and quick turnaround. Cons: huge serving, super greasy, limited seating area (ate out of the trunk of the car), and about $8 per taco. Final note: my breath smells like onion and garlic 5 hours later and I'm still full. I'm 50/50 on whether I would go back.

I've driven past this place multiple times but always see a good amount of locals eating here so I finally decided to try it. I usually get my ceviche and fish tacos from kiko's ever since mariscos nine seas closed. I think Kyrios has better shrimp ceviche than Kiko's. Their plating is very basic compared to Kikos but their ceviche is definitely more flavorful and sour. I have always thought Kikos' ceviche to be more bland. However, the fish taco is just ok. It gets the job done but I think Kikos is better for fish tacos. My husband got the Sunny San Diego burrito which has shrimp and carne asada + fries. Safe to say that he said it's his new favorite burrito spot. They have two tables with benches for seating although most do take away! Will definitely be coming back when I'm craving ceviche.

Food is amazing and fairly priced! The ceviche, aguachile and shrimp tacos is where it's at. I usually don't like going to taco trucks because of the awkward wait but at Kyrios they take your order quick and food comes out quickly as well. The ambiance is right they have alllll the sides and bottles salsas you could all door!

The food is beyond amazing. The service is amazing and welcoming. Plenty of seating. The Birria taco is really tasty and I'm super picky when it comes to Birria. And they nailed it. You also get soup or consome while you wait. (Definitely prefer the consome. The surf and taco is really tasty and refreshing and worth every penny. The pricing is fair and the food is well worth the visit.

Stopped in because we wanted ceviche and this place did not disappoint! Everything was so good but the birria didn't come with cheese on it which I thought was weird because back home where we live, all the birria spots have cheese. Service was good but food took a bit to receive. We sat outside on the picnic table they had under their covered area. This morning I woke up with a super swollen lower lip and am not sure if I had an allergic reaction to anything I ate but the food was delicious!

Best carne asada burrito I had in along time, juicy, everything in it tasted delicious.

Tostada loca

This food truck is so good. I get the tostada loca like once a week, no exaggeration. It's a lot of ceviche! Everyone is friendly and the food is always super fresh. They even give you a cup of consome while you wait, which is also delicious. I hope this food truck sticks around the Linda Vista neighborhood for a long time!

Sunny Diego burrito is probably the best burrito I've had, to date. Add some of that habanero salsa on it and it's a wrap.

We came as a group of five and shared the smashed tuna tartare, pulpo, and squash blossom relleno. Everything was flavorful and delicious, but the tuna tartare and squash blossom were my favorites, especially for their unique flavors. For entrées, we ordered the whole grilled barramundi, braised lamb belly, and tacos. The barramundi was the clear standout--perfectly cooked, tender, and flaky. It was incredible on its own, but even better wrapped in a freshly made tortilla! For dessert, we tried the flan, which was unlike any traditional flan I've had. Since we were celebrating my uncle's retirement, they also surprised us with sorbet and a custom candle featuring his name. Such a thoughtful and unique touch! I also ordered two Como La Flor cocktails, which were refreshing, not overly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. Between the beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and thoughtful service, this was such a memorable experience. Can't wait to return when I'm in the area again!

One thing I will say is that there was a point where they didn't check in enough for refills but were still strict with the 90 min cut off. I will come back again and try different menu items and maybe participate in the bottomless mimosa deal.

This is my first time dining inside this California Burrito Restaurant…read more I was driving around in this area and I saw this California Burrito Restaurant and I wanted to give this place a try. I enjoy eating authentic Mexican cuisine. I parked my car in their parking lot then I walked inside their front door. I talked to the owner Caesar and asked him How long has he been in business at this Starling Drive location in San Diego, CA? Caesar said he's been operating his California Burrito Restaurant business for 20 years now. Caesar also said to me that he works with his wife and grown children at his Mexican restaurant every day. My order was placed by Caesar today for my lunch time meal at 12:30 PM. I ordered one Beans and Cheese Burrito. The price is $7.50. Then I had to pay a tip of 20 percent that came up to $1.25. The tax was $1.50. My total purchase today was $9.25. I had to wait at least 30 minutes later until my order number 109 was called to the front counter today. There was non stop walk in customers coming into this California Burrito Restaurant at the lunch hour between 12:30 AM to 2:30 PM today. Their majority of their customers were of Mexican descent and I saw only 3 Black People placing their orders with Caesar today. I was the only Asian person ordering from this California Burrito Restaurant this afternoon. I also noticed 2 Nurses picking up their orders today who work for Sharp Memorial Hospital today. This man and woman nurse were of Caucasian descent. It's interesting for me to get to know the population of people who are living nearby this Starling Drive location. Caesar called my order number 109 today. Then I was served a really HUGE Beans and Cheese Burrito. I also drank cold ice water today. It was a beautiful day today because the weather conditions were very cool and cloudy. I sat down at this window seat so I could see the outside. The Beans and Cheese Burrito was very tasty the beans were refried and thete was a very generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese. The Tortilla was heated up and slightly toasted. This Beans and Cheese Burrito was a HUGE Size. I wasn't sure that I had an appetite to finish eating this Beans and Cheese Burrito but the flavor was amazing! I kept taking small bites on this Beans and Cheese Burrito for my lunch time meal this afternoon. I also received excellent customer service from Caesar and the rest of his family I saw was working very hard in the back kitchen area preparing and making their very popular Carne Asada Burritos. I also saw Caesar and an older lady sweeping up the floor and also mopping up the floor inside their front entrance to their California Burrito Restaurant Caesar told me to come in again soon to try their Steak Carne Asada Burrito. This item is the most popular food in their California Burrito Menu. I told Cesar the owner 3 I will dine inside his restaurant again soon. I love Carne Asada Burritos.
