This never happened. I called back after the weekend and again spoke with Mike P. (The owner?). He said he had not been able to visit my site the previous week but would swing by that week to scope the site. This also never happened. I have called back and left 3 messages spaced out over the course of a month and a half since then. He has neither responded nor made any attempt to explain why my money is not worth his companies time. When I first called him, my mother had started Hospice care, and our hillside drive is hard for the nurses to get up so I requested some grading, gravel, and compacting from Mike P. (the owner ?) in the first call. I did not tell him this because I assumed his company valued customers and that a customer shouldn't have to beg for work to be quoted or scheduled. (I called one more time before I posted this) So in my opinion National construction and gravel is a very unreliable company and should not be relied upon for any serious work. Since Mike P. (the owner?)is the only person I have spoken with, sadly I must also apply my opinion to him. National construction and excavation is located 3.4 miles away from my job site and I expected to spend 2-4K usd, and I guess this level of business isnt worth thei Get a company that cares from Eugene. I have waited a long time (too long) to write this review, because I wanted to see how long his work held up. We live in the country and have a rather steep, long, uphill driveway. Year after year we have paid people to grade and gravel the driveway ($300 -$500 at a time) only to have deep ruts and mud holes at the crest of the hill again within 2-3 months after the work was done. When I explained this to Mike he promised we would have a good driveway that would last a lot longer. He specializes in this and really knows what he is doing... Well it is now 5 years later and our driveway is as good as the day he did the work!!! We had to pay over 3 times what we normally paid, but it has saved us a lot of money in the long run. And it is wonderful not to have to 4 wheel it up our driveway. Great job Mike, and Thank You So Much!!
