I had to leave a rating, but would have preferred not to leave any rating at all. Austin We Fix It…read moredeserves no stars. Sam Tuttle was hired to do a build out on our metal building to be an Airbnb. In short Sam Tuttle is an con-artist. He mismanaged the funds for the job he was hired to do. He lied about how he spent the funds. He asked for more money when he knew he was going on vacation. Then he asked for the entire amount of the project when his agreement stated "three installments as the project moved forward." He refused to follow our vision. He did things his way and when we asked him for explanations he said he was going to need more money. In a meeting in our home he insulted our guest when they asked him a question. He got into a screaming match at our front door because he didn't want to answer legitimate questions about the concerns we were having. On this same day he walked off the job. Sam said he was a Christian and that he was honest. He was recommended by a close family friend which is why we hired him. There were huge discrepancies about how the money was spent. He told us different amounts on three different occasions which he why we wanted to talk to him. We knew based on the material at the job site and the number of days he worked that there was no way he could have spent all of the first installment. Because Sam walked off the job in anger we asked him for an amount we believed he should return to us. He agreed to this amount in an email and then has refused to pay us. He does not return our emails, he does not return our texts. This is the first time I have ever left a bad review for anyone. In this case, it is the right thing to do. Sam Tuttle is not ethical. He took advantage of me and my 82 year old mother. He lied to us. He mismanaged the funds and walked off the job in anger. I do not suggest you use him for any service. We regret trusting in him and allowing him into our home. Do not use his services. Stay away!!

Sam truly blew us away with our french door install. His turn around time from when we contacted…read morehim to completion was 2 days. The quality of his construction skills was top notch and the doors were hung perfectly. As a mom I really enjoyed his people skills with my 5 year old. He made my son laugh several times which was nice, and his assistant is his twenty something son who was also very personable. Very pleasant experience and we will probably use him next on our kitchen remodel project.

I would give zero stars if I could…read more They installed my laminate floors. To start with, communication was non-exsisent! I would have to text or email MULTIPLE times to get a response from Cristy. The finish work was awful. Within a few months, the floors started lifting and separating. When her husband came and looked at the floors, he said to me the person who installed my floors installed theirs and they had the same problem. When I asked why he was still working for them, he ignored the question and kept talking. After some back and forth, they agreed to redo the living room, hallway and laundry room. My bedroom, at the time, seemed fine. They did not redo the laundry room as promised. I had to wait several weeks for the transition pieces and then I had to contact Cristy to find out the status. They left my house FILTHY!! They didn't even bother sweeping the floors. The stuff they used to level the floors - which should have been done the first time - was all over my baseboards. It's had dried and most of it never came off. August/September 2023 my bedroom floors started lifting and separating badly - as did the living room again and laundry room got worse as it was not actually redone. I reached out again asking for a refund given all the issues. Cristy said she didn't have the money as she was now more in a consulting role. I then asked for all the floor to be replaced at no charge. She went silent again. I tired to file a complaint with the BBB but it was 2 months outside the 1 year timeframe so I couldn't. I made one last plea for her to do something to make this right. She said she would see what could be done and I never heard from her again. I finally sent one last email saying I didn't have the heart or strength to deal with this anymore. I paid $8,840.09 and my floors are awful and nothing I can do about it at this point. I have every text conversation and email ever sent/received so I can 1000% back up what I'm saying.

I would give B-Sqaured Woodworks / David and his team a million-star review on Yelp if I could! If…read moreyou're looking for someone for custom woodworks, look no further. We sent out a project estimate requests to contractors nearby on Houzz and David was the first one that got back to us quickly! It took a couple rounds of phone tags (we are all busy people) but then we finalized got a in-house consultation setup. Before the scheduled date, David sent us an email with a couple questions, basically 'customer needs/requirements' just so that he had some ideas about what the ideal product would look like! As a product manager myself, I found that extremely useful and appreciate such notes because that really set us for success and smooth conversation later. During the in-house consultation, David did some measurement and sat down with us to go over our requirements in greater details. He fully understood our needs/requests and even provided additional and critical feedback/suggestions that we never even thought of! My husband and I both looked at each other and nodded 'HIRED!'. A couple days later, David sent us a draft of the design which was extremely detailed and comprehensive. Nothing that we requested was left behind. Contract signing was easy and smooth and scheduling was quickly done. As the installation day came, we were super excited and patiently watched the cabinets to be put together. There was a misunderstanding on my end regarding what needs to be adjusted, but David's team went above and beyond to accommodate my out-of-project-scope request without fuss. That 'No Big Deal' attitude is really what makes them extra-outstanding!!! If you're still looking, look no further. We're for sure going to contact David for further woodworks!!!
