Kwon is an outstanding photographer -- professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. My wife and I are naturally shy, but he guided us through the entire pre-wedding photo session in a way that felt relaxed and smooth. We had our shoot in the hot, sunny daylight, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything turned out perfectly. Kwon suggested several great outdoor locations, and we chose the LA Arboretum. He clearly knows his spots well and has an amazing eye for creating elegant, beautiful photos with stunning scenery. We genuinely had a great time during the session, and the results speak for themselves. His pricing is very reasonable for the quality and effort he puts in. I would highly recommend Kwon to anyone looking for event photography -- you'll be in great hands! read more

We hired Kwon Photo for both our engagement shoot and our wedding day--and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, Kwon and his videographer were the definition of professional. Their expertise, calm presence, and clear passion for what they do really shined through at every step. Kwon made sure we got our money's worth, taking the time to understand our vision and ensuring we felt comfortable in front of the camera--even when we were nervous or unsure how to pose. His direction was gentle but effective, and the results speak for themselves: the photos we received were simply stunning. Every shot felt natural, emotional, and beautifully composed. On our wedding day, Kwon and his videographer worked seamlessly behind the scenes, capturing all the right moments without ever being intrusive. They were punctual, organized, and incredibly thoughtful with every detail. You can really tell that Kwon cares about his couples and takes pride in delivering exceptional work. We are so grateful we chose Kwon Photo to capture such important milestones. If you're looking for a photographer who combines talent, professionalism, and heart--you've found your person. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If that proverbial expression is true, a good photographer is worth a THOUSAND GRATITUDE. Before reaching out to Kwon, we browsed through many different galleries by different photographers. Some great and some not so of our taste. Eventually, we narrowed it down to two vendors. Initially, what we liked about Kwon's work was the natural emotions shown in the photos. He has a subtle feel for capturing your biggest natural asset, and we were hoping that same type of work would carry over to our engagement and wedding shoot. We selected two locations, Mission San Juan Capistrano and Victoria Beach, for our ENGAGEMENT shoot. Kwon did a fabulous job guiding us on how to pose, smile, and exaggerate our looks. From mid-afternoon to the break of sunset, he was working in every angle possible to get the best shots. Of the two, my favorite photography site was Victoria Beach. Something about photography during sunset makes the mood romantic and beautiful. Our wedding venue was in Rancho Palos Verdes, and we could not have picked a worse time than the day of our wedding. Unfortunately, gusty wind from the ocean made the setting challenging to shoot and the evening to be frigid cold. However, Kwon braved the condition and delivered impressive photos for our day. I am so glad that we went with Kwon and undeniably with NO REGRETS as our photographer for our special moment. read more

Words cannot describe how grateful and glad I am that Kwon was our photographer for our wedding! Our photos look absolutely amazing and he captured every beautiful moment, which we will always treasure! From the very first email inquiry we sent to the very last moment of our wedding, Kwon was so professional and such a joy to work with! We got the engagement + wedding photography package and his prices are extremely reasonable for the beyond-excellent quality of photos and service you get. He is also incredibly meticulous in guiding you to get the best poses/shots. My husband and I are fairly awkward when positioning our bodies to take photos together. But, under Kwon's hawk-eyed attention to detail and his gentle directions, our photos looked so natural and beautiful. He also really listens to what you want, and he takes into consideration the aesthetic you want for your photos. Additionally, I deeply appreciated how personable and encouraging he was. It really made us feel at ease and gave us confidence throughout the photoshoot sessions. I truly cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking for a photographer for their engagement, wedding, or even just couples/family portraits. HE. IS. THE. BEST!!! read more

We just had our wedding this past April and booked Kwon for both our engagement and wedding photos and we were so impressed by his work! We opted for a package deal including engagement + wedding photos with a second shooter for 8 hours day of. For our engagement shoot, it ended up raining so we had to cut our session short but Kwon was so understanding and offered to reschedule another session whenever we were available at no additional cost. Our engagement photos were stunning and I was so thankful we had Kwon directing and posing us. My husband and I are terrible at posing since we tend to feel unnatural, but Kwon made the entire process so much easier and much more comfortable. For our wedding day, Kwon was able to capture every moment perfectly. We are absolutely in love with our wedding photos. He was able to capture all of the little details and memorable moments. Not to mention, we got our photos less than a month from our wedding day, so quick! He is super responsive, very friendly, and just amazing to work with. Thank you so much again, Kwon! read more

Kwon was our wedding photographer this past February, and we could not have asked for a better experience. We were a bit nervous because we didn't have our engagement shoot with him, so our wedding day was the first time we met him in person. Kwon was super friendly and easy to get along with! He arrived early, got set up, and started getting to work immediately. He made us camera-shy people feel very comfortable in front of the camera. He gave clear directions and suggestions for poses, including a lot of fun and creative ones! He was also very good working with my awkward Korean parents and even made them laugh candidly for many of the photos, which came out beautifully :) Kwon also knew which moments to capture during the ceremony & reception, so the coverage of the photos was amazing (even while working as a solo photographer!). Kwon delivered sneak peek photos within two days of our wedding, and provided the rest of our wedding album in less than one month! We are obsessed with how all the photos turned out. Thank you, Kwon!! read more

When we first met Kwon over video chat, we already felt comfortable communicating with each other and we knew that it would be a great fit for us to have him be our photographer for our engagement shoot and wedding day. From the beginning, Kwon had been informative and helpful in providing us great options to take our photos for our engagement shoot. We were definitely nervous at first since we are not great at posing and taking pictures. Kwon was very professional and experienced and knew all the right poses and angles and just super easy going to make us feel comfortable during the whole process. On the wedding day, Kwon and his assistant were punctual and ready to go with the timeline of photos and even provided great suggestions for how we were going to do the first look and photos during reception with the everyone. He was well liked by all of our family and friends and the outcome of the photos were beautiful. We were on time and even had a little break before the ceremony. We are happy and satisfied with the excellent service and professionalism he provided and would highly recommend to anyone out there! read more

Kwon was an amazing photographer for our wedding. He accommodated us and was super flexible during Covid. I had a coworker who had him shoot her engagement and wedding and she referred Kwon to us! My only regret is not doing our engagement photos with him... We visited his office in Fullerton and he gave us a rundown of the different packages and his work. We decided on a package that we wanted and reserved the date for our wedding. We had a small ceremony and he captured all the moments. We didn't have a videographer but Kwon captured every detail (even the play by play of the tears rolling down my cheeks! haha!!). Even if you don't have a separate videographer for your wedding, Kwon will capture every special and important moment as if you're not missing anything out! We were so happy with how our pictures turned out. We're hoping we to have Kwon shoot any future photography services like our future baby's 100 day birthday! Thank you again Kwon for everything and being so accommodating. We really appreciate having you shoot our wedding! read more

As always.. Kwon was AMAZING to work with. This was our 2nd time. Our family photos came out more beautiful than I could have imagined. He worked so hard to make our kid smile & laugh w funny noises, bubbles, etc. It's a very difficult job trying to do that for 2+ hours but the photos show the work. I'll always come back to Kwon for all my family photos. He asked for my timeline for photos and I told him I'd like to send out holiday cards in time. He did his best and delivered when he said he would. Man of his word. :) See you in a year along with the entire fam! read more

Kwon was an excellent wedding photographer for our special day! We are not the most photogenic and he directed us very well. He also recommended our videographer and the two of them worked very well together, with Kwon leading. He knew all the great spots for pictures at the Muckenthaler Mansion, which is the venue we booked. During the initial consultation over zoom, Kwon let us know many things which we did not consider and made us quite prepared for the event. The photos that came out were very elegant and not over-the-top cheesy, which is the style we are most going for & exactly why we hired Kwon! Thank you for making our wedding day seamless! read more

Kwon was highly recommend by the church I had my ceremony and I'm so glad I took their advice. Kwon was absolutely professional, kind and went above and beyond! We got married last year and used Kwon for both our engagement and wedding photos. It was no doubt the best decision ever! Me and my husband are very meticulous people and put in a lot of effort planning our wedding. We reviewed portfolios of tons of photographers and interviewed many before choosing Kwon. Wedding photographer was probably one of our top vendors to get it right and we were very picky as these photos make lasting memories and capture all the hard work we put onto our wedding. Well, Kwon proved it right and was absolutely worth the investment. To be honest we didn't think we were photogenic at all and was nervous to some extent. Kwon gave us a lot of guidance, was so easy to work with and put us so much at ease in front of the camera - something that was very important to us. When we saw the photos we almost felt like we were straight out of the movies! They feel timeless, capturing the best of our emotions on the big day and we can't stop looking at them! Kwon is a true professional and his service is top notch. He has a great eye for detail and goes to great extents fixing a lot of little things that you wouldn't have thought of, to get that perfect shot. He also plans well and makes the most of the hours you pay him for. He has a fun, amazing personality and some of the wedding guests even complimented him. We are so grateful we found Kwon and glad we gave the big day of our lives to Kwon's trusted hands. The photos were truly magical and more than anything we could have dreamt of. We can confidently say that he exceeded our expectations. For those out there looking for your perfect wedding photographer - look no further. Kwon it is! read more

Kwon is amazing - I can't recommend him enough! We booked him for engagement photos and the wedding before covid hit. Once the pandemic came along, he was super easy and reasonable to work with in rearranging our package and changing our date to work with our altered plans. Kwon is a total pro at his job and gave us great instructions and took us to some incredible locations for our photo shoot. His editing skills are also amazing and he offers really good packages with lots of perks included. He's a consummate professional and you won't regret working with him. Kwon is a terrific photographer and the level of service he offers his clients is top notch! We hired Kwon Photo for our engagement and wedding photos a few years ago. I've been delinquent in writing this review because, well...life happens. Kwon was amongst a select few photographers that our wedding planner recommended to us. We chose him after scrutinizing the portfolios and reviews of all of her recommendations. What stood out to us is that Kwon has a really good eye, and stylistically we really liked the photos he took and his use of colors and backdrops. It certainly helped that our wedding planner gave him high marks and told us that many of her clients had chosen him, and the packages and pricing he offered were also very reasonable and competitive as well. Kwon was always punctual and reliable, which is much appreciated when there are so many other things competing for your attention on the big day. He was also well-organized and helped to keep everything on schedule without missing a moment. We were quite pleased with his service and attention to detail, as well as all of the photos that he took for us. If you can believe it, we only just recently finally picked our photos for our engagement and wedding albums. Like I said, life happens! I was nervous about reaching out to him again after so long, but despite the passage of time and the numerous weddings and events he has done since, Kwon had no trouble remembering us, and he was so understanding, helpful, and swift in fulfilling and completing our years-old orders for our albums. We just received our finished engagement and wedding albums and they are beautiful. We couldn't be more pleased with the layout and quality of his work. I give Kwon Photo my highest recommendation. I'm sure if you hire him you will be pleased as well! read more

Kwon is very professional from the beginning til the end. Fortunately he speaks Korean and was able to communicate with our parents if they had special requests. My husband and I are rusty in front of camera, but Kwon was very patient & gave us pointers throughout the entire photoshoot! Love he's always on time to every appointment/meetings!! I loved the option of having multiple locations for our engagement photoshoot. Kwon was very flexible through the pandemic. We had to reschedule our wedding 3x and he was very open and willing to adjust accordingly! Lastly, can we talk about the photo album quality?!! It's soo slick, modern, and great quality. Thanks again Kwon for your service!! read more

We are so glad we hired Kwon for our engagement and wedding photography! From our first meeting, he was extremely professional and easy to work with, together with reasonable packages. We are not used to taking photos, but he made us feel very comfortable with his direction. His creativity, knowledge, and effort was so impressive. We chose Kwon based on his beautiful portfolio and his philosophy on photography. I first found him through Instagram, tagged by a wedding planner, and browsed through his website. Kwon was an amazing and highly professional photographer for our engagement photo shoot! He recommended various locations that best suited our needs and went out of his way to guide us during our poses as well. I could tell that he was working hard since he was constantly wiping beading sweat off his forehead with a handkerchief. Despite our engagement photoshoot being postponed for 3 years (since 2019!) due to the 'rona primarily and other reasons, Kwon was very understanding and worked with us around our schedule. I highly recommend him for any casual or professional photoshoots - My significant other and I for sure would like to have Kwon take photos for us again, hopefully in the near future! read more

Kwon is a great photographer! He came through a reference of a friend, and was professional the whole way through the process, from receiving a quote, to discussing day-of logistics, to the wedding itself, and processing / receiving materials afterwards. For a once-in-a-lifetime event, Kwon's experience and responsiveness made this one of the lowest stress parts of the wedding planning process for us. Some of the highlights of the process: - Kwon giving us advice on how to stand and pose, etc, that will make the photos look more natural - Kwon arranging the environment and props to make some really special "movie poster quality" photos - Kwon keeping the photos for two years, because that's how long it took for us to finish choosing photos for our wedding album!!!! read more

I and my wife choose Kwon photo as our engagement and wedding ceremony photographer.  There were so many uncertainties because of covid-19.  Our wedding venue canceled on us about two months before the wedding date. We had to re-arrange a lot of the things we planned. Mr. Kwon was well communicated with us. He always responded within a day. It was easygoing with him to re-arrange our schedules. We didn't know where to go for your engagement photo shooting. Most of the places were closed due to covid 19. Then he recommended coupled locations based on his experience. It was really helpful. Since it was our first photo shooting, I and my wife had very awkward expressions and poses.  He guided us to have more natural poses and facial expressions. If you don't know what to do during the shooting, don't worry he will guide you step by step.  On the wedding day, within very limited light and space, he found the best angles and background for getting ready photos. and he captured all the beautiful and valuable moments on my wedding day.  His wedding package was so worth every single penny. One engagement photo album, one wedding day photo album, and one 20x30 printed canvas. All very high-quality products and I am so happy with them.  I know I have been there, We all try to reduce our budget as much as possible. But you shouldn't risk photography and videography which last forever.  I strongly recommend Kwon photo for your best day of life. read more

Kwon Photo has exceeded my expectations in every level! He makes you feel comfortable so that you can really bring out that natural smile. He is also really good at how he uses his camera angles to frame you; it made us look taller and leaner which was a huge plus for me! He doesn't do crazy photoshop that alters your figure and faces but you still look so good in his photos. He was able to catch all the candid smiles and emotions of everyone at our wedding! Detail shots of rentals and florals were impeccable with his sense of style and professionalism. My wedding photos; from engagement session and family photos to actual day photos, came out flawless and I can't be happier! We chose KWON Photo for our engagement and photo shoot. After meeting Kwon for our initial meeting, my husband and I both felt very confident that no memories will be lost on our wedding day. He was very professional from the beginning drafting our engagement photo vision to delivering our final wedding photos. We cannot wait to work with him in the future!!! He was very responsive in what we felt comfortable with and made us feel incredibly comfortable. He had a lot of great suggestions. We had some weather issues but from our photos, wouldn't be able to tell. [Wedding] - As many married couples know by now, no wedding runs 100% smoothly.
